This is my first time ever leaving a review in my entire life, so you know it's that bad. First of…read moreall, not only are the employees here incredibly rude but they are also untalented and overpriced when there is clearly a lack of expertise. I will post the photos of how my hair came out when I went in and asked for a balayage. It turned out to look like a bleach blonde mess that was nothing like the photos I had shown her. My hair was completely damaged and I paid around $150 for that, not including the tip I had to pay. Then, I went back to Buffalo where I go to college and got my hair fixed by Karissa Minner at Exclusively Hair Transit. I have attached photos of what she did to my hair and that was EXACTLY the same thing I had asked for at this salon and was also cheaper ($130). I also got my hair dyed here brown before that experience. I was asked if I want a blow dry, thinking that it would be included and not extra. I declined because the price was already so high so only a small section of my hair was blowdried so I could see if I liked the color and I was forced to leave the salon with wet hair. That employee also takes frequent smoke breaks, which is uncomfortable for me to get my hair done around someone who reeks of second hand cigarette smoke. My sister has gone here and has the same awful experience as me. I actually just went in today when I saw they have a sign for $80 keratin treatments, depending on length and thickness and I went to ask if I would qualify. I was told, by the older employee with the black hair, my hair would be $150 because of the length. She also told me that it's for new customers only, which I missed on the sign, and I said I hadn't been in there since 2015 because I was away at college. However, she said they're "looking for new customers". One would think a business would want to retain old customers. Don't go here unless you want to spend money on a job that looks worse than a box dye for the price of a salon appointment.

I met Kalilah at an event and i was talking to her about my hair and how i was struggling to find a natural hair salon that can handle very coarse 4C hair. She assured me that she had girls in the shop who could handle my texture. She was right. She pointed me in Emmas direction. ( forgive me if i spell her name wrong, it drives me nuts when people dont spell my name right) I love the products that were used on my hair. My hair feels so light and airy. It even has a little bounce to it. Im amazed!! Not to mention, my hair smells divine. As you can see in the picture, my hair had a lot of split ends. She cut all that out. I am really pleased with my cut and the silk press. To be honest, i didnt know my hair could get that straight. Y'all don't understand, my hair is very African and loves water but thats it so i was nervous about this. I think conversation's with Emma made me feel better and instilled a little more confidence in me. The ladies in the shop as so lovely. I didn't feel rushed. They really took their time with me and i appreciate that. I hate rushed work. Khalila and Emma were sweet and i recommend them to anyone who needs some TLC for their natural hair. Khalila is very attentive and makes sure she follows up after the appointment. The whole experience was great and I'll definitely be back.

I was contacted via text and informed of a slight time change but it wasn't anything inconvenient. (Well appreciated). I arrived with my son hair prewashed and dried. The women there were all warm and welcoming(not mean mugging as if they hate their choice in life) That was so refreshing. His hair took a total of 1.5 hours I believe to complete as I was doing laundry not to far away. When I returned I was so please with the results. He was as well. I will definitely be keeping this establishment as his monthly hair maintenance regimen (I'm sooooooo over doing his hair myself) 1.5 months later and his braids still look great even with the fuzz... Thanks again for such excellent service
