Maple just a couple of blocks from the Hartville Flea Market is a huge thrift store. Open Monday through Saturday, Hartville Thrift is always fun and worth the time. The first thing to check out is the video screens which show the colors of the week: one is 50% off and the other is 99 cents; even without those colors prices are very reasonable, mens shirts are $3, sportscoats are $8, suits are $10. It is also worth checking out the items on the silent auction as you enter the main room, there are usually some cool more expensive items and large collections available. In the main area you will find a ton of clothes, jewelry, shoes, art, toys and assorted other stuff. In the room to your right as you enter there is kitchen items, knick knacks, Christmas items, electronics, sporting goods and more. You will also usually see a couple of tiered carts with items just being brought out, just be ready for people to swarm to see what is available. Further back and further to the right is an area with furniture, hardware, lamps and garden stuff. I have found all kinds of values at Hartville Thrift, from Suit jackets, shirts, masks, figurines and most of those were very cheap. In addition the staff is great, they are friendly and helpful. The selection changes not just daily but can be supplemented at any time. There are going to be times when you don't find anything, other times when you come away with a very nice haul. If you are interested in a unique thrifting experience, it is well worth the trip to Hartville to check out Hartville Thrift Shoppe. With most of the major Thrift Stores reducing the discounts they offer and raising prices it is refreshing to still have a place with a great assortment and offering real values.

I reached out to the owners to see if they would be able to ship the bowl and they said they do indeed ship. In no time at all grandma's bowl was back in it's spot on the kitchen table...like it never even happened! Thanks! Great people to do business with!

Vignettes is super cryptic. This is the truth. They don't have a website, are not on social media…read more(to my knowledge) and are generally hard to find out about. So, alas, Yelp world, let me help you discover Vignettes. Located in downtown Hudson, Vignettes is a seriously beautiful store. This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. They had a few examples on the shelves which looked super interesting. I'm only giving Vignettes 4-stars because I have yet to make a purchase. The items are high-end, so when I make my next purchase, you can expect an update! The monogramming may be in my near future!

I'm not sure how many pieces they move in a day or a year but coming here a year after year after year I've noticed the same stuff sitting on the shelf with faded price tags dusty items just don't seem to move and when I do purchase something, which is rare, I noticed people in line are making very small purchases of small items like maybe a record or a couple pieces of glassware. I'm sure they move larger items every now and then but it seems like the same stuff in the same booth and display cases that never moves. There are plenty of malls out there where items are priced to sell and there's always fresh items to look at so I recommend looking around. If you're in the area, go ahead and stop, but don't have high expectations. If you live outside the area, I don't know that I would waste the time or the gas to visit this one.
