I booked a last minute reservation with them online the night before arrival and their website made everything so simple. I called them in the morning to confirm since I had requested a special request (rose pedals and wine) and they asked what our earlier arrival would be so that the special request could be fulfilled to my satisfaction. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. My fiancé and I went up to their rooftop deck at night and it was beautifully designed. They have two person chairs that we happily shared while stargazing. We couldn't have been happier with our stay! We only wish we would've booked earlier so that we could also take advantage of their spa services. I also forgot my makeup brushes during our stay and they mailed them back to me so that we didn't have to drive back to pick them up. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Great inn. Very clean, very friendly staff. At first glance, it looks like a beautiful renovation of a much older building, but the entire hotel is pretty new. The owner is around, making sure everything is fine, and telling the story of the inn. We didn't use the spa, but we made use of everything else Beacon has to offer. We took Metro North from the city. The Inn is a short walk from the train. Also a short walk is kayaking, a museum, hiking, and Beacon's Main St with lots of fun shops and restaurants. Since we don't have a car, this is a great weekend retreat out of the city. The only negative is that the rooms don't have temperature controls. It's kinda awkward to ask reception multiple times to adjust the temperature. However, it's a very minor downside in an otherwise great Inn. read more

Brilliant celebration of our 25th anniversary at the Inn. Lovely staff, great linens and the robes are swoon worthy. We were able to toast our anniversary up on the roof deck with a beautiful fire pit. I want to add that they were very Covid careful and thoughtful, too. Highly recommend. read more

I spent two delightful nights in one of the "snuggeries," as a treat to myself. I found their weekday spa deal, and took advantage of it, adding another night's stay to extend my me-time. THE ROOM: Beautiful and well appointed. It's a modest size, but the high ceilings, luxurious linens, complementary sparkling water and access to the solarium all made me not miss extra space in "big box" hotels. THE STAFF was delightful and helpful without being intrusive. They were quick to offer a suggestion, and really related to me as a guest. Chris was attentive to my "do not disturb sign" and was kind enough to make up my room while I was at the spa. Each time I came and went, Emily or Catherine at the desk would check in with me, remembering what I'd set out for and asking how my experience was. When they missed the proseco included in my deal on night one, all I had to do was ask, and they were happy to send me to my room the next night with a lovely bottle. Catherine was so kind as to extend my check out so that I could shower after a yoga class on a sleep Tuesday. THE SPA experience was great. I had a great massage and scalp treatment with Maryellen (DO NOT MISS THE SCALP TREATMENT!) and a relaxing and moisture rich facial with Diane. Both technicians were responsive to my needs and requests. They were running a little late but I enjoyed reading my book and sipping tea in the solarium while I waited. I really enjoyed the entire experience at this place. Friendly reception staff with a bathroom available. Knowledgeable masseuses who asked what areas we wanted worked on, made sure the beds were warm enough, and pressure was good. My husband and I had the Blue Eucalyptus Massage and really enjoyed the aromatherapy used. They also put us in a room together with a bathroom in it which is always a plus. At the end was a hot towel to use to remove excess oils which was a great touch since there was not an opportunity to rinse off in a shower. We also were informed of local events in the area if we were staying in town longer. Overall highly recommend. read more

My husband and I spent a much needed 2 day getaway to the Inn and Spa at Beacon and were completely charmed from the moment we walked in the door. This is a lovely boutique hotel and the staff could not have been more attentive and kind throughout our stay. Axel at the front desk really set the tone for our stay with his warm smile and genuine welcome. We chose one of their weekday packages which included champagne awaiting us in our room, two Swedish massages and complimentary breakfast. We took advantage of all and found the upstairs solarium and roof decks to be peaceful and well kept. The room itself was also lovely, the only thing to keep in mind if staying here is to let the front desk know if you'd like the temperature of your room adjusted because you can't control it from the room. When we asked for a temperature adjustment they took care of it immediately. We had Swedish massages in the downstairs spa which were both incredible as part of our package and we were both very satisfied with that experience as well. The hotel is also located in a perfect location on Main Street to walk to a lot of incredible shops, galleries and restaurants. It's a perfect little getaway from NYC and the views from the roof deck alone make it worth the price. On top of that the staff everywhere we went were super kind. Stayed this past weekend with my gf. What a great weekend and what a great place to stay. Impeccable, classy service, beautiful quiet room (i especially like the old fashioned desk), and a decent breakfast all made for a pleasant comfortable place to stay. We also enjoyed hanging out on the roof and solarium sipping wine. This Inn is perfectly located at the start of Main Street where most of the Beacon attractions are. I had been looking forward to this massage since we booked our anniversary trip upstate--it was going to be the highlight of our trip. I was incredibly excited because I get massages only once or twice a year, but I love them so much. When I completed the pre-session form, I checked that I like strong pressure as opposed to medium or light. I had initially selected "prenatal massage" because I am on the cusp of my second trimester, but I do not have a bump yet. Prior to the session, I briefly discussed the massage with the masseuse and we decided together I would have a Swedish massage as opposed to a prenatal massage because I do not want light pressure, and there is no need for me to lie on my side as I can still easily lie on my stomach. From the start, the pressure was way too light for my preference. I politely asked her to use more pressure, but she said she could not do so on that particular area because it would "send the energy down." I have no idea what that means but the pressure was frustratingly light throughout the entire session. I expected her to check in with me about the pressure again at least once, but she never did. Also she never massaged my arms or hands at all. I left feeling so disappointed that I almost cried. At the end she asked me how it was, and I was honest as time permitted, but the elevator had already been called and my husband was already on it. The reason I'm not leaving less stars is because my husband had a fantastic massage. Also, the facility is nice and the staff was nice. My masseuse was also very sweet, and maybe simply lacks the upper body strength for more pressure? But I've had petite female masseuses in the past who applied satisfactory pressure, so not sure. read more

I just stayed at The Inn and Spa at Beacon for a retreat, and I can't wait to come back! The owner and staff were so accommodating and made me feel at home. The space is beautiful with an outdoor terrace that looks out at the hudson river. The rooms are spacious with gorgeous bathrooms and extremely comfortable beds. There is always fresh cucumber water, tea and biscuits available. I would highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel and will be back soon! read more

She was gentle and effective at extraction, had a very soothing voice, and made my mom and I feel amazing throughout the whole process. We left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Can I give 6 Stars? Amazing visit! My wife took me away for my Birthday & Our Anniversary. We took the train up from NYC and it was a brisk half-mile Up Hill walk to the Hotel. Going home was nice because it was down hill. Check in was quick & flawless, our room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. Very nice amenities of soaps, shampoo's & lotions. I don't steal hotel towels but it crossed my mind until my wife slapped me upside the head, the towels were awesome, even beautiful bathrobes too. The Staff was on point our entire stay. Chris Recommended Kitchen Sink for Dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it (It was pretty much next door) Jake recommended the Yankee Clipper and we ended up going twice. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel but the spread of fresh fruits, breads & quiche looked amazing. We did sit on the roof garden and enjoyed the view of the river & mountains. Chris mapped out two different hikes for us based on our experience and we ended up doing both; Mount Beacon was tough but a great view of the city we just escaped from. The other was Denning's point near the river, really flat but enjoyable. We didn't have time to visit the spa but we will on our return. We didn't meet the owner but heard he designed the entire place, we were shocked to find out it has only been open 4 months. The only downside to the room was the lack of Television channels, just some local NYC Stations & a bunch of Shopping Networks but we didn't come to watch TV. I just returned from a wonderful stay with my daughter. It was the perfect place for some rest and relaxation within a short drive from NYC. Our room was spotless and luxurious. The staff was professional and so helpful and welcoming. We had great massages in the morning, champagne waiting in the afternoon and we got to choose our breakfast which included croissants, fruit, granola, hard boiled eggs, cheese. They served it to us in the beautiful atrium on the 4th floor which was sunny with an outside balcony for warmer weather. We loved it and will return!!! read more

A friend and I stumbled in during a last minute trip to the Hudson Valley and were treated like royalty. The whole building is new and nicely done, the staff friendly, and the location unbeatable. Everything is in walking distance in this town that is becoming its own destination, not just a second thought after a day at Dia. That being said, you'll probably want to spend most of your time here in the superb solarium and roof deck looking at the town and river. I've stayed all over the Hudson Valley and this is my new #1 for a nice and easy night away from the City. read more
