I went last night Oct. 11. Love the decor of the place, the idea of being able to watch your food being made is always a plus. Music was great, smiles throughout the staff, checking to see if we needed anything often enough. I had the salad, very tasty. Highly recommended and seeing it a place to be a regular. Best of luck

Bone marrow spread over toast with a sunny side up egg was one of the best brunch dishes I ever had. Perfectly buttery.

Waited half hour in the heat with bikes to be finally told no bikes allowed next to the eating bench by a rude hostess.

Set right along Jamaica Bay, Kennedy's nails that perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. The ambiance feels polished without being stuffy--white tablecloths, nautical touches, and sweeping waterfront views that make it just as good for a casual dinner as it is for a special occasion. The menu is a standout, especially if you're into seafood, cabernet braised beef short ribs, and expertly prepared dry-aged chops. And of course, a perfectly poured Guinness always hits different when you're by the water. One of my favorite things about Kennedy's is the atmosphere beyond the food. They frequently host live music--especially on Friday and Saturday nights--which adds a lively, local energy without overwhelming the space. What really makes Kennedy's special, though, is its deep-rooted history. Dating back to 1910--when the original building was ferried over from Coney Island--it has weathered everything from a nearby naval explosion in 1919 to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. After a major renovation, it reopened in 2014, blending its rich past with a modern, resilient design. Kennedy's isn't just a restaurant--it's a Breezy Point institution.

Came here for a birthday party last night and honestly was not impressed. Service was sub par,…read morefood was sub par, drinks were sub par. We were a big party so there was a lot of food that was had. I'll try to break it down from what I can remember. Bread basket - stale bread and not sure if the butter was actual butter because it didn't taste it Locally-farmed beet and mesclun greens, goat cheese salad with candied walnuts 5/5 - this was really good Jumbo coconut shrimp 2/5 - the shrimp were huge and I was excited to try it cause it's one of my favorite dishes but they had a weird taste to them and the sauces that came with didn't compliment them too well, I've had better tasting coconut shrimp in red lobster lol Burrata 5/5 - the burrata was fresh and delicious Fried calamari 2/5 - had a few pieces and the last piece I had was chewy and wet and I ended up spitting it out cause it creeped me out Jumbo lump crab cake 3/5 - it was alright Tuna tartare 5/5 - I think this was my favorite app, it was delicious Pan seared diver scallops, creamy shrimp & chorizo risotto 1/5 - first of all didn't see any chorizo in the risotto but that's whatever, IT WAS SO SALTY!! I couldn't eat more than one bite. Fresh oysters 5/5 - delicious and fresh, probably the best thing that was served Filet minion 1/5 - once again SO SALTY! ate a few bites and took the rest home to give to my dog after I washed the salt off because just inedible. He enjoyed it at least lol. The roasted potatoes that came with it were delicious though. Chicken tenders with fries (kids meal) 5/5 - I didn't try it but my son loved it and ate almost the whole plate Pomegranate martini 2/5- the first one they brought over was straight up vodka did not taste anything else but I was just slowly sipping on it because it was very strong. The waitress came up to me and asked if the drink was ok and I said it's a little strong but it's ok, she asked if I would like it remade not so strong and I said sure. She took it away brought another one that just tasted like straight up pomegranate, no alcohol. I didn't want to bother her especially since I didn't even mention it being strong to begin with, she asked herself, so I drank it and had two more and I'm pretty sure there was no alcohol in them period so that was annoying. White Russian 1/5 - got a White Russian as a dessert drink and it had no taste at all, how is that even possible for a White Russian?! Margarita 1/5 - tried my mom's margarita, it was very watered down and tasted like margarita mix, no tequila to be felt. Crème brûlée 3/5 - not the best I've had, not the worst. Brownie 1/5 - the brownie comes "à la mode" but I asked for no ice cream because it was for my son and he had a bit of a cough. They brought it out with ice cream, I sent it back and it took forever to get the one without ice cream, I thought they forgot honestly. My kid liked it but he's 5 and it's chocolate lol but I tried it and it was honestly horrible. Tasted freezer burned, was dry as all heck and the middle was rock hard. For how much this place is talked up, it's definitely not worth the hype or the price. Not a place I'll be back to unless it's an invite for a family birthday again.

The employees are ALWAYS kind, respectful , cheerful and upbeat with a smile on their faces. We came today and I ordered my favorite....the Meat Up burger with everything except cheese , fries and raspberry Snapple. The burger was as always delicious with MUG sauce, pickles, lettuce & onions.?The patty was fresh not frozen and cooked perfectly. The fries are always golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside and perfectly salted........even though I'm a salt addict and always add more My son ordered the OG Burger that has 2 patty's, bacon, pickles, lettuce, MUG sauce ........ he doesn't like onions. I barely had time to snap a pic before he inhaled the burger. He's pretty picky about his burgers but he loved the OG burger and is irritated with me because I haven't brought him here in the last year ‍ All in all, this is great restaurant and a fantastic addition to our community. We needed a good burger place (they have other dishes also) here. There's enough pizza places, chinese/japanese/sushi restaurants, spanish/mexican restaurants, thai food, seafood and chicken restaurants here I highly recommend Meat Up grill to anyone that wants fresh prepared, hot delicious meal or even a salad.

Kids at the counter were nice and accommodating, they have a pretty good menu, nice place inside over all. I got the chicken tenders which were really good not greasy but definitely could use some salt. But I was okay with that . The sauces aren't anything to rave about the mustard was too sweet for me, and the bbq was basic . Substituted the fries for an extra tender . But good real chicken and would definitely come here for them again. Now the 17$ philly cheesesteak is definitely an over priced bust!!!! Not enough cheese/ dried out meat/ way smaller than the Normal and usual Philly should be. Not a foot long, no end pieces that were cut of seems just to fit the box. And the meat itself had zero flavor as well so a complete waste of money on this item. Nothing more is worse when you see a picture of something and when it comes out looking and tasting nothing like it should or you expect.

Sound suppressors have been installed and they help temper the noise. The limited wine list is well priced but unfortunately they were out of one of the two chardonnays (Bonanza) on the list. I ordered the other Chardonnay which was double the cost of the Bonanza (but still fairly priced for the quality) and it did not come out for 15 minutes. I alerted the waitress who stated that she was getting ice for it. The wine finally came with two chilled wine glasses (wrong) and it was warm. Strike two on the wine. Someone is not checking inventory. We got there as it opened at five. No excuse for not having a listed wine and then serving a warm $65 dollar bottle. Each plate of food was delivered in a staggered delivery about five to ten minutes apart. Food should come out at the same time to all customers. That's probably on the chef with the mercurial temperament. That being said; the food was very good. The chef can really cook but get there soon because he might not be there long. Four televisions the dining room is unnecessary and very distracting. Turn them off during service. I plan on going back for the good food but will bring my own wine. I got three different answers when I asked about a corkage fee; so I don't know what the corkage fee is. The owners are new and need time to adjust to the place. I see the place improving as the kinks are worked out.
