Poor Customer Service…read more I had a disappointing experience at Village Baking Company in Oak Lawn with an employee named Savannah. I paid for a 16-ounce tea but was initially given a 12-ounce. When I asked her to correct it, she simply poured the 12-ounce drink into a 16-ounce cup, leaving me with the same amount of tea despite paying the difference for the larger size. When I politely asked her to remove some ice and add more tea, she was dismissive and told me that if I didn't like it, I could go to another location. Her response was rude and unprofessional. I was simply asking for what I paid for. Savannah could benefit from additional customer service training. I've always had pleasant experiences at other locations, but this encounter left a very negative impression.

The biggest issue was the lack of organization. There was no ticketing or clear system to keep track of who was actually in line. We also noticed people arriving later and joining friends and family who were already in line, which made the whole process feel unfair. I understand openings can be hectic, but when you're advertising something for the first 50 customers, there should be a system in place to make sure those who actually waited in line are counted. We got there extremely early for a reason, so it was definitely disappointing to miss out because of poor crowd control.
