Pool Punch
Vivian G.

Cute restaurant along the river. Food was delicious but I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich. My friends and I were in a rush to catch our train and the waitress tried to rush our orders so we can eat and catch our train. I got a fun drink called pool punch which was super good. The reason why I didn't give the 5 stars is because they never came by to refill our water..it was after my request did they see we needed more water. But other then that, everything was good. I got a fish "the dory" sandwich and the fish was very fresh.

Lobster roll

Visited the Dory while staying at the Lodge on the Cove for Memorial Day weekend. We had dinner, service was good. The hot wings were great, only thing the blue cheese was on the watery side. Then had the lobster roll, so good and fresh, one of the better rolls I have had. Had the sparky drink also, but was not a huge fan, was very Limey.

Stopped in for lunch. I really enjoyed the lobster roll though I was hungry again in an hour or 2. My husband got the burger which he thought was average. We shared the moon pie ice cream dessert which was also average. The place was really cute, however, and the service was friendly.

Great little place. Good food. Really reasonably priced. Yummy drinks. Ping pong, bean bag toss. Poolside tables. A hidden gem!

Quiet, out of the way lunch spot with reasonable prices and excellent menu choices. Well worth the pleasant walk from town.

It has been quite a few years since I have been here and it was my wife's first time visiting. We…read morehave both had quite a few beers from them though and enjoyed them. I actually would go as far as saying they are underrated in talks of all the breweries in Maine. They have always been a brewery with a vast amount of variety in their styles they brew. Such as IPAs, fruited sours, porters, stouts, lagers, and so many more. Enough variety you could visit and all your party could find their style. They also deserve a lot of credit for being one of the first if not the first in the state to jump on the non-alcoholic train for beers. This has expanded to basically be as varied in style as their usual beers now. I actually enjoyed their NA Mexican Lager and it was delicious and would be a great option for those looking for NA beers. My wife grabbed their NA seltzer and enjoyed it as well. Since that expansion they have also moved into adaptogen beverages as well as CBD/THC drinks too. They keep expanding their portfolio while also doing what they already do so well! Also for non beer drinkers they did have some bourbon and other spirits available as well. Really great options for all who show up! They don't offer food themselves besides some free popcorn, which was seasoned perfectly! Although if feeling like more food swing in next door to Weathervine and grab some food before to pair with your drink. The bartender was very friendly and apologized when my first choice kicked and from his interactions with other patrons it is clear Woodland Farms cares about their customers! A spot my wife and I will make sure to return to sooner rather than later. You should check it out as well!

Great Food, Huge Portions, and Incredible Cornbread! We…read morevisited Smoked in Portland for Father's Day lunch and had a really great overall experience. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, easy to find, and they have plenty of parking, which is always a huge plus. The food was definitely the star of the show. We started with the fried mushrooms with ranch, and they were absolutely fantastic--highly recommend sharing a basket of these! For the main courses: Pulled Pork Dinners: My husband and daughter both ordered this and said it was absolutely fantastic. Wing Dinner: My son-in-law loved his wings. Quesadilla: I had the quesadilla, which was decent flavor-wise, but a bit messy to eat because most of the filling fell right out as soon as I picked it up. The highlight of the entire meal was the cornbread muffin served with honey butter. It was honestly the best cornbread I have ever tasted! The portions here are massive, making it very easy for our granddaughter to pick a little bit off everyone's plates, and we still all came home with boxes of leftovers. I love the names of the kid's meals, so creative!! The only minor downsides were that the service was just "okay" (nothing bad, just didn't really stand out), and they had live country music playing. While the music itself wasn't bad, I'm personally not a fan of the genre and found it a bit too loud for conversation. The incredible food and great atmosphere mean we will definitely be back.

Located on Forest Avenue well north of downtown, it's a sports bar with a long bar, several TVs, impressive sports beer signage, and a barbecue-and-wings-heavy menu that has something for everyone. A parking lot is another nice plus. I went with a half dozen wings, smoked and fried-- you can also get them breaded and fried-- with Buffalo sauce. Fairly close to the classic tangy Buffalo, with some modifications to make it just different enough. A little salty, but it works. Exteriors more firm than crispy. Interiors ranged from slightly moist to full-on juicy, depending on the piece. Blue cheese was mild and creamy. No chunks. Overall, good.
