Wow all the amazing reviews for previous patrons but not for me. We made reservations through google for a 9:30pm slot on a Wednesday night. They are really popular so reservation is a must. We tried to go an hour early to check if we can be squeezed in but unfortunately not and I totally understand. Service: I was not so happy, we had the honor of being served by the only female server that night. She was not as friendly to us as she was with the other customers. She also took time to come back to our table to get our orders and thought she already left for the night so we had to call upon someone else who was happy to take our orders. Food: was ok, nicely and elegantly plated but I had better tasting with better pricing. They are a bit pricey and serving portions were small hence because they are a tapas joint. We ordered steak tartare (this one was a huge portion) - not a fan, the meat had a weird aftertaste, porto spritz, "Os" brownie (was too sweet), pineapple ginger infused G&T, foie bites All in all, you can still try it, you might have a different experience than we had but when I go back to Porto, this place will definitely be off my radar. read more

My son visited Portugal with his fiancee last year and raved about the The Door being his favorite restaurant during that vacation. So when we were in Portugal, we made reservations for The Door. Thursday night 8p Party of 4 We arrived at 730pm and told we would have to come back at 8p. Came back at 8p- informed our table wasn't ready yet and we were offered a glass of of champagne! Cheers! We were seated around 830pm. Our Server was Flor. The other Servers that checked in on us were: Launch, Micaela and PATO. Great music! Love the murals! Awesome services. Fantastic vibes! We placed our order for drinks and dinner. Cocktail Pornstar Martini was so freshening and tasty! We started to get the taps in the order as it appeared on the menu. We had asked for the "just salad" as an appetizer but on the menu it was in the last section of the menu. We ordered additional tacos before we finished our original orders! The food was amazing! Flavorful! Well prepared and presented. Some of the tapas were tapas portions but the steak sandwiches were actually an entire full size sandwiches. We had to cancel the last 2 items we ordered that included the just salad! We were extremely full and wanted some dessert! We ended up taking 2 of the 3 steak sandwiches home with most of the potatoes. Thoroughly enjoyed dessert! Loved how our Server Flor made a cheers with a complimentary Port wine! Cheers! On our first night in Porto, I found this place, and we decided to try it out. We didn't have any rsvp, and when we got there around 7 pm, they told us they were booked out. But they checked to see if they could squeeze us in, and I'm glad they did. We got a small table outside and ordered some ceviche and other dishes, and they were all fresh and delicious. The owner and his stuff were very freindly and service was great! The menu is small, but they are creative and unique. If you are looking for somehting other than traditional portguese foods, this will be a great place to try. Just try to make rsvp because they get busy! read more

Recently we had a fantastic Lunch experience at this Restaurant which is a fusion of Portuguese and Argentine cuisine. We were a group of eight and arrived about 20 minutes before closing time but we were welcomed to a unique tasting menu of the very best they had!! The energetic staff was accommodating to our variety of orders and we felt that not just our meal but the entire experience was superb!! Cute little place in Porto. Food was fantatic. Flor our server had the menu down and could make some great recommendations. Patricio was the chef and did a stellar job with our delicious tapas. Alphonso was the wine expert and he really knew his "grape". So glad we stopped into this cute little neighborhood spot.
