We met with and interviewed several contractors before making a decision for our kitchen remodel…read more From our initial visit it with Tripp, to our follow-up meeting with Matt and our eventual relationship with Brad as project manager, there was one common thread. There was a bond between them and eventually between us. Honesty, transparency and integrity are incredibly important when engaging in a personal or business transaction. This group has all of that. In short, they were real. Genuinely decent young men who set realistic expectations and followed through on them. They listened to what our goals were and provided us with assistance in making the right choices for each of the components that make a well organized and attractive kitchen. They took the time to explain what was to be done and why certain adjustments and changes from the original plan were necessary. There were a few bumps in the road of course, as is the case with any construction project, but each one of those was resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Each of the subcontractors that came to our house also had an obvious bond with the Rainier Team. There was a high level of skill involved with several of the craftsman who helped us to bring our kitchen project to a reality. I highly recommend Rainier, Inc and wish each of them great success in business... and in life.

As the owner, Douglas Hunter came out himself to both spec and bid the job. I was immediately impressed that he did not try to upsell me, instead giving me some suggestions for improving the appearance of the 45 year old concrete parking area my driveway leads to. His bid was competitive and in line with what I expected. After I accepted his bid he called and set a date for the work. Unlike other contractors I've dealt with, his crew of 3 showed up when promised and put in 2-1/2 full working days to get the job done, which involved making a clean connection to the old concrete pad, removing large tree roots, and working around borders and landscaping before putting down around 800 square feet of concrete. Workmanship was excellent and very professional (it was a real crew, not day labor). The crew totally cleaned up after themselves, putting things pretty much back in order, leaving very little for me to take care of myself. I wish all contractors were as responsible.

After an informative assessment appointment, I decided to move forward with them. From the beginning, Ben was professional and thorough. He provided a detailed written contract, walked me through his process, answered all of my questions, and ensured the workspace was cleaned at the end of each day. Even when the project extended beyond the original timeline, I appreciated that Ben kept me updated about the challenges he was facing. His communication and transparency were reassuring. Unfortunately, the strong communication didn't last. Toward the end of the project, Ben became unresponsive. Two important tasks remain unfinished, the correction of a gutter that was improperly installed over my back porch and the removal of a large "Bagster - Dumpster in a Bag" filled with trash from the wall replacement. The last time I spoke with Ben was on May 14. He mentioned he was completing another project in GA and would contact me when he returned. Over a month later, with several unanswered messages, I'm having to find someone else to fix the gutter and figuring out how to dispose of the waste left on my property. Ben and his team clearly do quality work, but I'm disappointed in how the project was left incomplete. For potential clients, my suggestion is to hold off on making your final payment until all aspects of the job, including clean-up and waste removal is fully finished.
