Wow, would I recommend the Dock Company? Yes!!! Great service and the experience is all there. They know what they are doing!!!! And the communication is second to none. You call them they call back, you text them they text back, you E-mail them they E-mail you back. With communication there are a lot of companies that do communicate real well - THESE GUYS DO. Worst communication ever. And they crept onto my property months later to steal parts off my lift. They would not return calls about it. Obviously, after the local sheriff trespassed them, they knew they messed up. Anyhow, The Dock Company has been exhausting, frustrating, and unlike anything we've ever dealt with. I would strongly recommend staying FAR away from this company. Their communication, organization, and professionalism were an absolute disaster from start to finish. It constantly felt like no one knew what anyone else was doing, and no one seemed capable of handling a customer issue in a normal or reasonable way. It started when they came out to inspect our boat lifts and quoted my husband a little under $6k to repair. Based on that quote, he approved the work. Then after the repairs were done, they suddenly sent us an invoice for more than $20,000. No warning, no phone call, no request for cost increase approval--just a bill nearly four times the quoted price, as if that was perfectly acceptable and normal. On what planet??? My husband immediately pushed back and told them there was no way they could increase the scope of a project by that amount without clearly discussing it with the customer first. How about a heads up?? After going back and forth, he wrote them a check for the original quoted amount plus tax. They cashed the check, and we heard nothing more for nearly 5 months. Then five months later, things became even more bizarre. A van from The Dock Company backed into our driveway unannounced, and two men got out, walked through our yard, onto our dock, and started messing with our boat lift. No appointment. No notice. No permission. Fortunately, a friend happened to arrive at our house while it was happening. Once they realized someone was there, they abruptly left. We caught everything on camera and saved the tapes. It's feeling a lot like criminal trespass and theft of property. Cotter pins were observed beneath the lift as if deconstruction had started. Thank goodness for our friends who rushed over to our house and took note. My husband immediately called the company looking for answers, but all he got was more confusion. One employee claimed our "cylinders had been removed," which made no sense. No one could clearly explain why they had been on our property or what they had done to the lift. The sheriff was called, and The Dock Company was formally trespassed from our property. The responding officer even said it appeared they may have been trying to repossess parts they had previously installed. Imagine paying thousands for repairs and then having people show up months later trying to dismantle your equipment without warning. My husband has repeatedly tried to get answers about what was touched, removed, or tampered with, and whether the lift is even safe to use now. Emails and calls have gone unanswered. No ownership, no accountability, and no concern for the customer. He even reached out to Sunstream CEO Ken Hey. He got a response from Mike Anderson saying he "needed a week to investigate" but its been 3 weeks of being ignored by Mike with 3 ignored voicemails. To make matters worse, the cylinders they installed last summer already look terrible--pitted, pockmarked, and worn--even though we are in freshwater. It's all so very questionable and confusing. This whole experience was sketchy, riddled with excuses, and handled with shocking incompetence. Between the outrageous invoice, the surprise visit to our property, the lack of communication, and the refusal to follow up, we have zero trust left in this company. We will absolutely be using their competitor in town for any future boating needs. If you value honesty, communication, and professionalism, stay far away from The Dock Company, and stay away from Sunstream Boat Lifts. Seems like a toxic situation from Sunstream top down-- if this is how his people think its appropriate to communicate and behave. Poor leadership is evident. read more

The Dock Company has always given us outstanding customer service! Recently we had an issue with out boat lift and boat while we were away for a few hours. This was caused from river elevation fluctuations. We saw the issues on our cameras and called the Dock Company. They rescued our boat and were there within 10 minutes. They pulled the boat out of the water and dropped it off at the repair shop within an hour. They also helped get the boat repaired in time for a family get together. I arranged to have a used jet ski lift installed in January of this year. Dave and his team did a nice job fabricating the lift appropriate for my space. Dave is excellent to deal with despite being super busy, he always returned my calls. Marco came out when we arrived back from the Desert. He moved the lift forward and placed some additional supports to stabilize the lift. Marco is the hardest working, knowledgeable and most efficient guy I have ever witnessed in this business. Installing a new dock can be a big project. In our case, it took almost a year of permitting -- and permits from many government agencies -- before we were even ready for the installation. And when it comes to construction, it's a project you want done right the first time. We considered a couple different alternatives, but ended up choosing The Dock Company for our dock because (a) they have more experience than anyone else in North Central Washington, (b) they are well-known both to the engineers and government agencies, (c) we really liked how the team was willing to work with us to save money where it made sense (e.g., reusing an existing concrete abutment) and invest where it made sense (e.g., selecting a few upgraded materials for better service life). The construction project went extremely well. I'm a professional engineer, and have managed construction in the past, and my expectations are pretty high. The Dock Company was great. They gave us a date when they would be on-site, and everything happened just like they said it would. They were on-site for a few days, and the progress was fun to watch. Having seen a few horror stories unfold when less-experienced companies were used, we were extremely happy with our experience and our decision to go with them. I would not recommend The Dock Company to anyone. They have failed to complete work promised for over a year. We are now about to miss a second straight summer without a dock.
