It's at the point of the road where it stops being 'town' and becomes residential. There were a few people having quiet chats and a small group watching football. We went to the bar and were served straight away. We both wanted G&Ts and spotted that they had about four decent gins on display. We both went for Plymouth and these were served with Fever Tree tonic. Two double G&Ts came to £14 which sounds expensive but is about right for a premium gin. Staff were friendly but not over-bearing. They have quite a well stocked bottle bar and we had a bit of a chat about the Pimms cider. Food looked like your normal pub grub and there were a few chalk boards advertising Sunday lunch and chips in a pot with pulled pork and so on. I liked that there were boxes of toys and books for children- clearly a family friendly pub. The toilets are upstairs. A pleasant enough place to have a drink but not one to rush to.
