Had a delivery of pond stones. I found an unacceptable amount of dirt and debris that I had to screen out and was not happy ! The loader must be either inexperienced or just did not care about the customer. They should make sure that they properly screen the stones before delivery. I will not be going to Dirt Doctors again thats for sure ! read more

Not a good company to deal with. The staff are very rude & all seem like they are high school dropouts or ex-cons. I got some dirt once & the guy filled my 3/4 ton truck & then I went to pay. The a-hole at the window tried his best to admonish me about getting filled first. After I told him I got 3 yards of dirt, he grabbed a radio & in front to me called the guy filling & said "this person says they got 3 yards of dirt, is that true?!" Oh, & more importantly, they DO NOT get their compost up to temperature to kill pathogens!!! How do I know? Because I talked a friend into spreading their compost all over his field of crops he grows to sell, despite his reservation's based on their reputation. His plants (established over 10 years ago) all were diseased the following Spring. Upon lab testing, the compost came back loaded with fungus. 1,000 plants ruined! He called them & was told to go pound sand. I feel horrible... Think twice & read the (-) reviews before you give them money, which by way is ALL they care about. read more

LOVE this place! The staff is extremely accommodating and so willing to drop anything for the customer. I went in over the weekend in need of help with a LARGE job getting done that day. Order one cord of firewood and when it arived and was dumped in my driveway I found that it included not only 16" pieces of firewood but a ton of splinters loose bark and cut off pieces shorter than 6". After stacking it took more than two hours to cleane up the mess and hall it to the dump. The price by the way was $ 400 which wasn't a bargain either. Will never deal with these people again. read more

I recently spoke with the staff and informed them that I was interested in 2 cords of firewood for this season. Upon delivery it was raining so the wood was a little wet. I brought some inside to dry, once I attempted to start a fire I noticed the wood was having a really hard time lighting and once I got it going there was A LOT of hissing so I split a piece open to find it was completely green. I called again thinking that there may have been a miss understanding on the phone when I ordered it but all I got was "who told you it was seasoned wood?" Spent $730 to then have to buy wood else where that was ACTUALLY seasoned. I ended up spending over $1500 on fire wood during the holiday season. If you decide to buy from them make sure you break it down Barney style as to what you need. read more

It is spring time and people will be ordering their planting/landscaping materials. Heads up Hillary Bailey​ and I ordered loam from here and we are very disappointed. The soil we ordered which was supposed to be top of the line ultimate planting soil at $48 a yard had a broken beer bottle, broken pen and a cigarette butts in the soil. We called the company and were told we would get a 15% discount on our NEXT order. We will not be ordering from here again. Very disappointed in both product and customer service. read more

Purchased and had granite rocks delivered summer before. Happy, no problems. This summer, ordered more rocks, and mulch. Delivery guy was very kind, but I should have looked inside truck before he dumped product. The color was not what I thought I ordered based on picture in brochure. Aside from this, I now have all kinds of earwigs in my garden eating up all my perennial flowers I spent a lot of money on. This pests were not there before until I got the mulch. Very unhappy and not sure what to do :( as I'm sure they'll not take any responsibility based on my first experience when I expressed unhappiness over the color and they dismissed it as my error when their brochure picture shows color much darker :( read more

We were finishing an excavation project and ran short of stone dust. We tried 4 other Sand & Gravel companies that we frequent and they were not able to deliver same day. Dirt doctors could deliver but their price was more than double. No wonder they were available, they are not busy due to inflated prices. Not worth it. read more

This was my first time at Dirt Doctors and I have to say the customer service was exceptional. We went to pick up some sifted loam and the young man helping us noted one of our tires was a little low so he had us go over to the garage so he could put some air in the tire. He was pleasant and friendly as was the young woman who greeted us at upon our arrival. Having been an avid gardener and landscaper for many years I am impressed by the quality of their product as well as their staff. I definitely will be going back. read more

I love their compost! I see other reviewers commented on firewood etc. I buy that stuff closer to home, but I have found no one who makes such good compost locally. Sure you can buy compost that's been put into plastic bags and trucked to your garden store. It will cost 3 or 4 times the price and think of the effect on the planet. You can afford to dig much more into your garden. They have certified analysis available and it looks good to me. But the real test is how do your plants grow. Mine love it, and digging in this compost makes me happy. read more

BEWARE! I recently bought a yard of loam from Dirt Doctors and they back loaded my trailer. There was so much upwards pressure on the tongue it bent the metal safety latch and sprung upwards and smashed through the back of my vehicle. It caused over $4,000 damage to my SUV. I asked them to cover my $500 deductible and the owner Keith, and his manager Brian, took no responsibility for improperly loading my trailer and lied to my insurance company. I had to take them to small claims to get anything from them. It cost me $4,000 worth of damage to my vehicle for a yard of loam. These guys would rather spend more money in attorneys fees and settlement costs than to do the right thing. That's what happens when out of state people come into NH and bring there out of state way of doing business. Don't make the same mistake I did. DON'T do business with Dirt Doctors! Go up the street to Outdoor World or find a local landscaping business. BEWARE OF DIRT DOCTORS!!! read more
