The next time that I am asked for a recommendation for a knowledgeable and professional tree service I will without hesitation recommend Collins Tree Service. They came in with a fair bid to take down my failing double maple tree. The crew arrived, and worked with each other like a well-oiled machine. They seemed very enthusiastic to get the job done, to take good care of each other, and very respectful of me. I wish I could have stayed during the rest of the day to watch them work! When I arrived home from my office at day's end, I found my yard cleaned up and that they had appropriately ground the stump so that I can now re-seed grass in its wake. I work at a well-respected law firm in Concord, and colleagues are always asking for the name of contractors with whom people have had a good experience. I will confidently and without hesitation add Collins Tree Service to the list the next time someone asks. Bill came to our property about a month ago and gave us a price to remove 5 trees that was very reasonable. We set a date (over the phone) about a month in advance, which was today (8/17). He said his crew would be here at 7:30am, since removal of the trees would take almost the whole day, including stump grinding. At 9:15 I called to find out where his crew was, and he said he wasn't sure and would call me right back. A half hour later, I called him back (he never called) and he said he didn't have the appointment in his calendar. I'm not sure if he just wasn't going to call back or what, but I didn't ask. Anyway, he never once said sorry, but he did keep repeating that it wasn't in his calendar, but that he would call me back later in the day to reschedule. It's been 2 days now, and guess what? No call. Very unprofessional. It's 2018. It's not hard to call someone back, or to put a name in a cale UPDATE: Bill reached out to me almost immediately after posting this review and apologized. Then, he was extremely responsive while we worked through rescheduling. His crew completed the work recently and they did a fantastic job. The price was reasonable, and they even raked our grass and cleaned the street next to our house. Excellent work! read more

I had a huge stump that needed grinding. This was the only business that answered my call, booked an estimate and came to do the work all before any of the other tree services I left messages with even returned my phone call! We talked and came to and very good understanding of what work was done and what I misunderstood. He was a true gentleman and I can not say enough good things about a owner who takes time to meet and discuss my issues from work done on April 2018. Bill and his team did a great job taking down a large tree in my yard. The tree was a challenge because it had limited accessibility and hung over four different properties. They worked safe and efficiently. Did a good job cleaning up the area too. read more
