Jennifer has been my amazing hair artist/stylist for 2 years. I have long, fine hair and a lot of it, am also very low maintenance. By that I mean that I use shampoo, conditioner, and dry my hair with my hands and a blower dryer - not a ton of styling. Jennifer seems to somehow know what I want each time, even when I truly don't, and it always looks amazing. She helps me try new styles, and I would honestly trust her with anything she recommends. While I haven't been to the new space, I didn't second guess my answer when she asked if I would consider changing location. My partner will be seeing her soon, too, and she is more than willing to make the experience accessible (aka earplugs, not much convo,, low sensory, etc). You cannot go wrong with Jennifer, and I can't recommend her enough. I saw my previous person for 20 years, and Jennifer has not disappointed! Update: I visited Jennifer's new digs at Salon Molecule and it did not disappoint! Love the plants, super bright sunny space, and location. I've been a client of Jenny's for close to 5 (!) years now. I've always appreciated her wonderful personality, expert cutting techniques and styling that's do-able at home to make me feel confident. I have thick and wavy hair that many stylists misunderstand and give me the dreaded triangle look. Jenny inserts layers and thins out as appropriate to keep my hair manageable. I followed Jen into this new venture from her last salon because no one has ever gotten my hair AND my sensibilities around my hair as right as Jen. What makes her so amazing is that her skill set is clearly so varied. She is creative and studious. You can show her a picture of something you love or you can talk through what you'd like and she is very meticulous about making sure she communicates with you through the process about what you're feeling. She's a really excellent listener when it comes to what you want done to your head. Typically when a stylist tries to push product on me I can be turned off. But Jen spends a lot of time looking for products that are not only really fabulous for my hair (I get compliments constantly on how healthy my hair looks) but are also sustainable. My husbands hair is thinning on top of his head (doesn't bother me but bothers him) and Jen started him on a treatment that has actually grown some hair back!! It's bonkers. My entire family from my 3 year old toddler, my 16 year old daughter who loves her hair dyed fun colors and my husband go to her. What I find most impressive about Jen is how passionate she is about continuing her education as a stylist. She is constantly growing her skill set by attending classes and seminars from major players in the hair industry. I just love people who are passionate about what they do. She's also super cute and funny. She knows when I'm in a quieter mood and just want to zone out on my phone and she entertains me with great conversation when I'm feeling more extroverted. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for about a year. I was in search for a hair stylist in Chicago for some time. I tried a bunch of fancy salons with okay results. UPDATE: I just wanted to add that not only does Jenny always make my hair look and feel amazing but she has also been a lifesaver for my daughter's hair. My 9 year old had a lot of chlorine damage and it got to the point where we could barely brush it. Jenny took the time (and it was a lot of time) to help repair some of the damage and get us to a point where her hair is now manageable. She was able to explain what happened to her hair and how to prevent it from getting like that again. There are no more tears when brushing any more! read more

Jenni is the best!! She is seriously so good at what she does and I trust her completely to mix colors and try different things with color dimension and layers. She's been with me through blonde balayage, platinum, ginger and auburn colors, bobs, layers and longer cuts. She never once gave me grief for box dyeing my hair even though we all know it was a terrible choice. She even helped me fix it after I had seriously fried it.
