Ask the Community - The Dinner Detective

Is it family friendly (within reason of course)? I noticed that the age restriction was 15, but I'd like to take my parents who are in their elder years and just don't want them to fall on the floor from a heart attack due to something too crude.

There is a not too loud gunshot, a flash of light and people screaming. There's nothing too scary, but a few instances where you might jump bit. Nothing that should induce a heart attack though.

Food was ok, it was edible and not terrible, as some other reviewers remarked. The show itself was a bit unorganized, the sound acoustics and lighting was off, and the story line was very unclear, but over all it was something different to do with visiting family. I'm sure if the actors really explored& dived into the script it could become something awesome. Also they just really need to work a little on pitch, volume and project their voices stronger to the audience and say their lines with more dramatic emphasis, it has potential to become something amazing. Regardless, it seemed that the actors were enjoying what they were doing and we all had a unique experience.

First off, the area is convenient, tucked into a side street in society hill with ample parking options in the immediate area. We were warmly greeted at the restaurant and directed to the second floor. Upon arrival, about 10 minutes before the show started, we were shown to our table, which is shared with other parties, similar to a cruise ship. They have a decent selection of drinks to choose from and the menu is set. I understand that you can order from the restaurant menu for an additional surcharge, however, we stuck with the set menu. The Caesar salad was OK. The creamy potato soup was great! My entree was the salmon with polenta. The salmon was a tad on the bland side however it was cooked perfectly and the polenta was... polentastic. The chocolate tart cake was just ok as well. My wife opted for the rigatoni and that, my friends, was a flavor extravaganza! It was the vegetarian option but man oh man, the cheesy saucy goodness more than made up for a lack of meat, Incase you're concerned. The wait staff is also the entertainment and as a result, they are in character the whole night, which was fun. I didn't quite know what to expect but we had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night. You're not going to get a Broadway caliber show, but I'd say it is a good, light-hearted time.

The meal came with a tomato soup, garlic bread, chicken, potato, corn, and a small dessert at the end! Bar drinks were separate and you can order before the show or they come around during to take orders. I personally recommend ordering before because we did find that it took awhile for the drinks to come out but not a huge deal! The performance was actually so entertaining. This type of experience is by no means my regular choice of outing and it was a BLAST!! It's very loud so if ur sensitive to noise just be mindful of that. But overall I think it's a fun unique experience for a night out! Saw people of all ages having a good time!

We had great seating and my friends son got knighted for his bday. The kids liked the food as well as did us adults. The service was great and everything was very clean. I want to give a special shout out to Denise for taking good care of us on the yellow seating area on Saturday. She made sure my son who has multiple food allergies was safe and enjoyed the food. Phenomenal service provided by her. She even gave us bags and to go boxes for our food. My son was so happy and so was our group.

Upon exiting the elevator they make you feel like you enter "paradise", do some tarot card reading by asking for your birthdate, and then get some beads with perfume dropped on them depending on which card you got. After all of that, none of those stuff mattered. We were served a three course meal before the actual aerobics show happened, but they still had performers perform while we had our meals or a few drinks. I enjoyed their Crescent Dip, which is a hummus dip with whipped feta and comes with a massive chip. The Full Moon Rice I wasn't really a fan of. After those two, they came out with the entree, which they called Fire, Water, Earth; essentially beet, halibut, and short rib. These were alright, not amazing. The third and final course came during the intermission of the show, which was a bunch of dessert treats and they were delicious. The show itself was fantastic. It was more than just aerobics, has there are also singing, dancing, and violinist. You may get wet in the front so FYI. There's also some fire involved. Overall, a well put together show. I'd probably skip the food, but the drinks were great.
