Visited the ranch today, met the new owners and they're amazing. So much care and attention into their horses. They do three trips a day and have over 90 horses. No horse goes out more than once a day. Absolutely recommend. *side note we did the last ride at 430 and we're able to watch the horse run out to pasture after, must see!!!

Everytime I am in West Yellowstone, I visit the Diamond P Ranch. I always have a blast riding horses there. They are always warm and welcoming. Great place to check out if your travels include riding through the Gallatin National Forest.

Please visit this awesome place if you are in West Yellowstone. These cowboys and cowgirls are the real deal! So knowledgeable, so friendly and they care so much for their horses!!

We loved this! When you arrive they have you sign in and then match you with a group and horse. They do a briefing and go over the basic commands and things to know. The trail is across the road- up into the Targhee National Forest. I was so impressed with the trail and how the horses navigated it. The trails were super challenging and the horses handled them with ease. We stopped a few times to look at wildlife, take pictures, and chat. Our guide was great- very knowledgeable and friendly. The trial was long! You definitely get your money's worth. The views are beautiful. It is very peaceful. For those worried about COVID- everyone is spaced out. They only allow one person from your group into the office to check in and keep everyone else outside.

Went on the morning 3-hour ride with Cassie as our guide and it was a great ride!! We had a group of 6 ranging in age and riding experience and everyone raved about it after. Diamond P takes great care of the horses! Highly recommend!!

5 stars all the way. This place was so fun and friendly - all sorts of staff kept checking in with us and saying hi, both before and after ride. And the attention to detail in getting you assigned a horse is a hoot. Alana was terrific and our group of 8 had a blast. Thank you to everyone at the ranch that made our visit special.

Our family of 3 had a great experience on our private 2 hour ride hosted by Alana. She lead us through the trails in the Gallatin national park hills and was very knowledgeable about the trails and even stopped to show us a huckleberry bush and let us sample a berry. One of the horses quickly grabbed a bite too. Alana was great and also a thumbs up to Julie who gave a quick ride lesson before we mounted up. The receptionist was super friendly who checked us in/out. We were very pleased to hear Alana said the owner genuinely loves his horses and treats all the animals and staff very well. We especially loved the dog who was checking everyone in and helped the ranch hand put a stop in both directions of highway traffic so we could ride to the other side of the highway. Thank you to everyone there for making our day great.

We had a great time on our 3 hour ride with Diamond P Ranch. Our guide Olivia was great, along with all of the staff. I had even accidentally scheduled our ride for the wrong date & they switched if for us & made it work no problem. It was a very peaceful ride with beautiful views!

The Diamond P is by far the best trail riding location. (And we have been to many) The entire staff was extremely welcoming, the horses were incredible, and the trails were the coolest. I seriously can't say enough good things about this place!

We had the absolute best time on the ride we did here. Our guide Sarah was wonderful, the scenery was gorgeous and it was all around just a great experience.

Horseback in Montana. Are you kidding me? Memory forever.

Yippee ki Yea, what fun. We're California city slicker who live at the beach. We've ridden a little on the sand in the surf but are only slightly more advanced than novices. These folks have every detail worked out to keep all level of rider safe. We could easily get on and off the horses without assistance. Throwing that leg up and over the horn is part of the fun HOWEVER, you must accept assistance here for insurance reasons so HUSH UP, DO IT because the 3 hour ride through the glory of Montana is worth such a little thing. We signed a waiver to skip a helmet. Note, the helmets are disguised as cowboy hats and don't look silly at all. Those who chose helmets looked just as cool as everyone else. I'm long and lanky and admittedly not the leader on a horse. They matched me with long, lanky follower horse, Bailey. A perfect match. I'm not a good rider but Bailey was a good horse who made me feel pretty Annie Oakley cowgirl in up. The ranch took photos out on the ride. A lot of them. The whole bunch of your party was $30.00 on a flash drive. We didn't buy only because we'd been snapping away, which is allowed. I borrowed a little saddle bag for my light jacket, keys, and bottle of water. Leave everything else locked in your car. Friendly, fun, gorgeous, safe, professional (Hannah stopped twice to check our saddles) and groups were small. Smiles on every face. Price? Less than 1/2 what we pay in California. Loved. Gracious, you're in Montana. Spend a moment on a horse. I'm a writer, not a rider. If I can do this...so can you. Http:// kyleelizabethwood.com

There was a ridge with an amazing view. We saw a small heard of elk running through the woods. We saw an eagle and an osprey. There were a couple of steep climbs (always fun on a horse). We got up to a trot a couple of times. Our legs were a bit stiff after the ride but not sore the next day. It was perfect! The horses are wonderful, each with their own personalities. They had just the right amount of spirit. And they were very responsive to your lead. Josie was our trail boss (guide) and she was absolutely amazing. She explained everything thoroughly. She made everything fun. She took amazing care of us. She knows that property like the back of her hand. And she's as amazing with horses as she is with people. My friend and his family have ridden here nine times already and I'm so glad they recommended it. It's a lifelong memory.

Hayden was our guide & he was really friendly & knowledgeable about the area & horses. Our group was small too which made the experience more intimate (5 riders + our guide). Eagle Ridge Ranch is affordable, has beautiful trails, well behaved horses & attentive/accommodating staff. We went on a rainy morning & it cleared up in an hour, but the rain didn't bother us. Eagle Ridge is close to Yellowstone, Bozeman & the Tetons so there's plenty to do after an early morning ride. Thank you for the experience!!!

Checked out the Lytle bar (named after the family who homesteaded here), the gift shop with great Western wear; my friend got a cool white denim fringed jacket. The grounds are beautiful; walked up to their award winning restaurant , Horn and Cantle, and the very cool Saloon with live music. Decor was classy western. We enjoyed a handcrafted huckleberry cocktail a couple huckleberry lemonade mocktails and glass of wine, a mushroom appetizer, then our friends stayed for dinner. Saw a baby brown bear right outside; thankfully, did not see the mother! Totally recommend a visit here, and would love to stay here sometime!

I'm leaving this review because our experience at this upscale all inclusive resort was wildly inconsistent. The property is beautiful and the staff is kind, but the level of miscommunication and operational confusion was unlike anything I've experienced at this price point. A few of the major issues: * Serious health risk: The boxed lunches on our first days were unsafe for my diabetic brother and put him at risk of diabetic shock. These were the only meals available due to our scheduled activities. * Two different planners, both incorrect: * A "featured" restaurant they offered was actually closed. * We were booked for an activity that doesn't start for another two weeks. * The sky lift was presented as available but wasn't open. * Hot air balloon miscommunication: * The time we were given was wrong. * The balloon company had no record of our reservation. * We would have missed it entirely if I hadn't reconfirmed repeatedly. * Itinerary changes without notice: * Our schedule was altered multiple times without anyone informing us. * Another guest in the lobby was having the exact same issues. There were many more problems beyond these. They did tell us an employee had sabotaged their system, but it would be impossible for that one person to have caused everything we experienced. Bottom line: We had a good time, and the place itself is beautiful. But when you compare the price to the actual experience, I could not justify the stay.

Billie and Heather were very helpful and informative throughout the reservation making process. They have great communication and put our minds at ease. They wait to tell you which trail you'll be taking until about a week before your ride. I booked a half day private ride for my daughters and I. We met up at the trailhead with no problems and got to see and experience a part of Yellowstone most people don't get to see if they don't venture out. Jimmy was our guide and he was absolutely fantastic! He and I were chatting most of the time but he also was really engaged with my daughters as well. I rode Hoofy, my oldest rode Star, and my youngest rode Trigger. The horses were great! We enjoyed the trail, crossing through water a couple times, resting out by Grizzly Lake, and then heading back to where we started. We got to trot quite a bit too! My wife and I just wrapped up our second stay with them for an adults only 5 night stay. The ranch is truly like nothing else we've experienced. At the beginning of your stay the head wrangler catches up with you and pairs you with 1 of their 130 horses that are wonderfully trained and cared for on site. The food is one of the major highlights for me and you will enjoy plated 3-4 course dinners each night, with several entrees to choose from at each meal. The cabins and amenities are great, but what really makes your stay special is the people, both the staff and guests, that you spend the week with. I can honestly say it is the best customer service experience I have had to-date, and that doesn't do it justice, because you leave there feeling like family. Things to consider: 1. The Guest Ranch appears pricey to some and we definitely agree that it's a considerable amount of money to spend on a 5 night vacation. That said, we left both years satisfied and without any regrets. 2. We have only visited in late September and early October near the end of their season. Both stays had at least 1 day of rainy weather. You can ride horse and do most activities even with rain, or just read and drink coffee next the a roaring fire, but weather and timing of the visit may be something to consider. 3. Alcohol is not included but the bar is very generous and has a great wine list. That said, we've brought special bottles of wine to the ranch to enjoy with dinner, without issues.
