We went for a 2 hr horseback ride last week while in west Yellowstone. We researched a ton of locations and felt this smaller more intimate ranch was a great fit for our first time horse family (minus dad who was experienced!) from arrival to the ride, our guide Kate did an amazing job keeping authority yet warmth throughout the trail to keep us and the horses safe. We loved that they separated us from another group so we had a more personal experience. She told us about the area, landscape and animals in the forest. The trail constantly changed and was interesting and we never felt bored or without something beautiful to experience. 2 hrs was perfect for my 8yr old and 12yr old boys. My youngest cried when we left bc he didn't want to leave his horse trip. I truly loved how engaging, fun, and authentic the entire experience was. Kate and her horse Pablo were the best first time leads we could have asked for!! (Kiss Tripp for Hudson!)

13 family members wanted to do something unique so we went for an evening sleigh ride and a private dinner put on by the Parade Rest staff/team/ and now family! Talk about an incredible night! You won't be disappointed! And it's a memory to last a lifetime! We have decided to make it an annual thing as part of our ski mobile trip. I can't say enough great things about the friendly staff or the fantastic cook! Give it a try! The apple pie with ice cream and coffee cake were so delicious that we ate it before I could take the picture! Yup it was that good.

All smiles and perfect weather. And the best behaved horses.

What an absolute beautiful experience! Parade rest Ranch is so professional, and their horses are so well behaved. Everyone is such a delight to deal with the staff is knowledgeable kind and their guides are so great and entertaining. What I love about parade rest is such a personal experience, and the cost is more than reasonable! You are in the heart of Yellowstone, riding around Hebgen lake, amongst the Gallatin River and through the mountains. I really recommend going during the fall. Watching the leaves turn different colors makes the view that much more beautiful. what's really great about this company is you can make your experience as private as you would like or if you want to go with a group that's also an option. My friend and I booked a 9 AM one hour ride last week, we were lucky enough to have just the two of us and our guide. It was the best horseback riding experience I have ever had. Please, by all means if you were coming to visit Montana between Yellowstone and Big Sky, do yourself a favor and book with parade rest, you will not be disappointed

We were so happy with our sleigh ride tour and chili lunch today. It was a "warm" day in January...for West Yellowstone. Zack drove the sleigh pulled by Bob and Bill! Thanks guys! They have so many options for tours in all seasons. Easy to book and would definitely recommend eating there. It was delish!

Cowboy cookout

The place was perfect. We had the all inclusive and did all of the horse back rides and went to a nice lake to eat called Johnson lake. There are no words for the sunrise and sunset

Beautiful sky from the ranch

We just returned home from a wonderful 4 night stay @ Parade Rest Ranch. We had an amazing time and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved riding with Xavier, Kate, Allena , Jo, Caroline. Hannah, Callie and Callum were so welcoming with anything we needed and became friends with us during our stay. I would recommend the inclusive stay as you're not going to want to leave the Ranch. If your a little thicker and worried about riding a horse - this is the place for you where horses are well trained and can give any shape / size human a chance at riding in the most picturesque setting.

Beautiful cabin next to the river

Beautiful place to stay we really enjoyed our stayed here at this beautiful ranch what can I say my family and I really love this ranch our cabin was really close to the river my kids had a blast peddling the horses and feeding the cows and playing with the ranch dogs breakfast was delicious every morning was different breakfast and it was delicious every time everyone that works there super friendly they Made us feel like we were part of the ranch I highly recommend this place to stay it's perfect for families with kids my kids really enjoyed it such a beautiful place I definitely coming back and stay here again

We did a 1 hour horseback ride and could not be happier. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 daughters ages 8 and 12 had a great time. Randomly picked this place from all of the horseback riding places outside the Yellowstone West Gate. We showed up a little before 10am for a 1 hour ride on the 4th or July. Great Service from start to finish. We booked over the phone. Walked to the corral and met our trail guide Lucy who was fantastic with the kids. We had zero experience riding horse and our 8 year old was very nervous and she really took the time to explain everything to us and build confidence in our daughters. Their was another guy, who I just cannot remember his name but he had an injured hand from roping calves, but he was awesome as well answering our questions. Everyone at the Parade Rest Ranch made us feel welcome and they took their time with us. The ride was beautiful in on July 4 with all the flowers in bloom. Just unbelievable. The horse my 8 year old was very gentle and both my daughters had non-stop smiles the entire ride. We rode though the hills and Lucy we full of encouragement for all the riders and pointing out stuff as we road. We will consider a longer stay her in the future. Our kids would love to ride horses again I am afraid any other place would be second best to this place.

A MUST STAY. QUIET, friendly and worth it. Great manager Marge & all her staff ranglers, housekeeping, front desk, and kitchen. Staff.

We had one outside bed in lower living room and needed an extra bed for my son. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a small foldable foam bed. House was well maintained and we had no complaints. One small suggestion would be if they could put out a garbage disposable outside or behind the house that can be easily identifiable. We initially struggled a bit to spot the garbage disposal box.

We had plenty of room for everyone. Of the 8 bedrooms, 6 have king size beds, and two of them have private full baths. There are 3 additional full baths for the others. The cabin itself is pretty new, so everything was clean and in working order. The location is very close to the west entrance to the park, and is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. I was especially impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, very nice for a rental. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The WIFI was available, but I have to say it is not very fast. Considering the location, this was not too surprising. There were no problems with billing, or unexpected charges. Overall a great choice for a large party, I highly recommend this location!

There's a large, gas grill on the outside deck that worked great for us. The place has satellite TV in the living area and wifi, too (but don't expect cable modem speeds in such a remote location). At night we spent most of our time hanging out around the fire pit with antelope just yards away. Negatives: - the roads are pretty bad, especially for my low car. To get to our cabin I had to navigate muddy potholes. - our AC in the cabin was pretty bad. It was difficult to understand and was inconsistent. The bathroom was pretty much always freezing. - there is no TV in the room (this may be a positive for some). - the products used in the bathroom (lotion, shampoo, etc.) are from Dial. This is likely the cheapest option and not something we would use. - the cabins are similar to a duplex. I thought it was a standalone unit we booked, but thankfully it was not crowded and we did not have a neighbor. - the door is a standard keyed lock. I wish it was a key pad so there isn't a risk of losing a key or needing to keep up with one. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and we would stay here again.

Waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, fruit, biscuits & gravy, yogurt & granola, coffee, tea, juice. McGill's is also available for dinner and it's so convenient. I recommend making reservations. The ranch is roughly 45 minutes to Bozeman airport and also 45 minutes to the west entrance into Yellowstone National Park. The wedding was gorgeous, and the ranch sets the perfect atmosphere of a classic Western vibe. The whole family had a great time. It's a beautiful ranch and a gem along the Gallatin river, 10/10.
