Diamonds truly are forever. They represent love and longevity, strength and power. Diamonds are social status markers, which is why most women wish for their engagement rings to be on the larger side. Diamond engagement rings are representative of the depth of our relationship. So, when shopping for a larger engagement ring, most people want to do it one time, which means they've gotta get it right the first time-- A person can do one of two things: 1) He can have the generic retail experience, wherein entry level sales associates are conditioned to agree with every statement you make and encourage overspending on an average stone with an egregious mark-up; or, 2) He can hit one outta the ballpark by going to an experienced diamond broker, one whose industry knowledge is more than the hard-drive on the average person's brain. My fiancé and I chose the latter, and we couldn't be more pleased. We spent some time at diamond marts in San Francisco and scoured websites searching for quality larger stones. We searched reputable online sites and ultimately happened upon The Diamond Oak and Alon Mor, its founder and CEO. It was at The Diamond Oak that we found the ring of my dreams. It was comprised of a large 8.37 carat weight emerald cut diamond center stone, flanked by two pear shaped diamonds on each side, set in platinum. To our delight, we found the price of the ring was negotiable. We purchased the ring through a secured online transaction. Additionally, the ring, which was two sizes too big, was forwarded to their in-house master jewelers for re-sizing the very same day. The entire transaction was smooth and secure, and as soon as the ring was re-sized, it was dispatched from New York City to our home in Granite Bay, CA by Malca-Amit Express armored car service. We were in constant communication and every time I called I spoke directly with Alon. When the package arrived, it was signed for and released to me. The package was contained a classic, chocolate brown shopping bag, with The Diamond Oak note card attached. Inside was a pretty, white and woven grass fabric box, tied up nicely with a brown organza ribbon and topped with a bow. Inside the box was a beautifully carved wooden box, resembling a faceted diamond, tucked neatly inside a nest of natural fibers. It was organic, stylish and sophisticated. I smiled and I cried. I knew it was going to be special. The wooden gem box opened into two separate pieces, held together by two tiny magnets at the top and a bottom--it was like a small puzzle, wherein the facets match up. Inside the faceted box was a black velvet lining, snuggling my jaw-droppingly-beautiful engagement ring, which was sized perfectly to a 5.5. A very tasteful touch was that the package included a handwritten personal note from Alon Mor, wishing us a lifetime of happiness and fulfillment and thanking us for allowing him to be a part of our special journey together. Our experience with Diamond Oak was perfect. Alon Mor is knowledgeable and professional, and we felt as if he truly wanted our buying experience to be a memorable one. The Diamond Oak definitely met and exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier--
Thank you for making our dream come true!
