Howdy do! We stopped in here because nobody else near the lake would take our German Shepherd; I'm beyond glad that we did. This is one of the cleanest and most up kept hotels we've stayed in. Staff was very nice and informative. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Nice amenities with coffee and "homemade" muffins & donuts for breakfast. Our room had a beautiful view of Mt Marcy and Algonquin. The pool was super nice and the pool chairs are very nice.

What a fantastic find! After the block of rooms for a wedding at another hotel filled up, we ended up booking an upscale 2nd floor room at Art Devlin's and I couldn't have been happier with that decision. From the call to make my reservation all the way through checkout, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The real story, however, was our room. Cathedral ceilings, huge bathroom, giant flat screen TV and THAT VIEW. Waking up each morning and looking out to the gorgeous mountains - fantastic. I have to admit I wasn't quite sure what to expect - the website isn't exactly cutting edge and a "motor inn" doesn't exactly sound glamorous - but after our fantastic stay I would recommend Art Devlin's to anyone.

Is black tea too expensive and that's why the guests only get green tea?? (even though there was black tea days prior). We are paying $274 a night to be here for a week. That's a lot of money to pay to have to ask for black tea. -Very understaffed in the restaurant at night. I felt bad for the staff, they were trying so hard (except the host, she didn't try at all). -I talked to another guest who had lots of complaints and was on her FOURTH room because she kept having to switch due to issues. -The mini-fridge froze like half the food, (and no I did not put it in the freezer section). -Housekeeping was not prompt (would come around 3pm when we were back in the room to work remotely on a different time zone). -One of the self-service washing machines is SO loud you can literally hear it from 2 floors down. -The free kayaking is closed for the season while the other kayak rental in town is still operating...That was not clear when booking. The first day we were there, it was 85 degrees F and lots of people were out kayaking. It would have been nice to know that that wasn't going to be included. So overall, I would not recommend staying here. We wished we had stayed in Saranac Lake, but in Lake Placid there are plenty of other hotels with great views (and maybe the curtains would actually open all the way so you can see it).

It was clean, pretty, and we had everything we needed and loved being right on Main Street. We were able to walk wherever we wanted and after we wanted to stay longer. Yulia the manager moved us to the room across the hall since ours was taken and we wanted to stay longer and ended up in number 10 for the past 2 nights. What bliss! The staff was amazing! They were available easily by text or phone and accommodated us with any need we had! Towels... change of sheets, cleaning. We went back again the following year, last year 2023 and stayed in another suite since the ones we wanted were not available but without fail, we loved everything about our stay! This time dad came along and he enjoyed it too. Needless to say, we look super forward to being there again this year! Third year in a row! Thank you!

The hotel as a whole seems run down and unfinished. The halls are dark and dreary and the carpet was very VERY stained. There was no coffee, iron or ironing board in the room.
