Absolutely horrible customer service and representative communication. A Denver Post Representative stopped me in King Soopers and told me about a "great" promotion they had going on. I told him I got the paper for years but hardly ever got it delivered to my house in the morning because their delivery was so poor so I no longer subscribe. He told me that was all taken care of and has improved. He told me I could try it for a month and cancel if I was not happy. The "promotional price" was $21.66/mo. I went online to get the phone number call for a vacation hold and saw that their price was $14.99!! Did he pocket $6 or just lie?? He also told me I could cancel anytime before Oct. 19 and when I called today on Oct. 18, I was told my card was already charged for the next month and they have a NO refund policy. Denver Post had a salesman at King Soopers and sadly I got caught up in his spiel. I was told if I subscribed for $30 I'd get $20 of gift cards and many coupons in the mail for grocery etc. I got the $20 in gift cards, but now my account is supposedly renewing in less than 48hrs from when I signed up, and I can't cancel the autopay because it won't allow you to edit it within so many hours of signing up. I thought I'd support a struggling paper, but instead I'm being taken advantage of as a last ditch effort to keep a useless business alive. Absolute bullshit that a paper would take advantage of people and try to scam them to keep the paper afloat instead of either creating a better business people actually want to subscribe to on there own or simply accepting the fact that nobody wants what they're selling and moving on. read more

For the last 4 months the Denver Post delivery has been abysmal. In the last 10 days we have received paper on only 3 days. Calling, email and escalated to a group at the newspaper has done nothing. They promise Redelivery and that they will follow up, nothing changes. Reporting it everyday has not worked. Do not pay for a subscription, they will not refund your money. read more

I have apparently been paying with auto pay for newspapers that I don't receive. When I called to ask for a refund because they pulled the money again, after trying to make a few accounts to get my canceled, I was told a refund is not an option. I simply asked how is A refund not an option when I have not been receiving my newspapers? They were very rude very disrespectful and I still did not get a refund. They had the audacity to ask if I wanted an extension of my newspaper. I told them please take all of my information out of your system since I'm paying for something I'm not receiving. If I could give it 0 stars I would . In the last year, home delivery in my area has almost become non exsistent. All the paper will do is gve you a credit. when you call CS. They will not let you cancel and get a refund. Customer service always says they will esclate the problem to a supervisor or manager but I never get a follow up call. Would not recommend ever taking a home delviery subscription after being a customer for more than 2 decades. read more

I am more than disgusted with the Denver Post. I was getting the paper twice/week (Wednesday and Sunday). It started out $8/month a couple years ago. It increased several times to the cost of $18.42/month (paid via autopay on the 10th). I called to cancel May 19. They call me almost every day for a backcharge of $8.52 for two newspapers in which one had a "special edition". I spoke to customer service today. He said the special edition is $5 and I would have had to opt out of it to not get charged. He informed me that it is in the small print of the original paperwork I received with my automatic payment. I am sure they are not doing well financially but this is a foolish way to get additional money out of people. Please don't spend your money on this paper. I know I never will again. read more

My elderly parents got 'placed' into a subscription charging them $101 A MONTH! When I called to cancel, the Post first offered 'what you had been paying' $79 a month. No. Then they 'found' a discounted rate of $60 a month. No. THEN they found a 'special rate' of $41.60 a month! If you go online and check prices, the MOST expensive subscription they have is $41.60. AWFUL way to treat your loyal customers, and predatory on the elderly. Oh, and they reduced print size, making it even more difficult for the elderly to read. read more

Your new browser and app is not compatible with my Amazon fire tablet. It skips articles and does not show the puzzles or comics. Difficult also to navigate on my Samsung android phone. They send out a flier in the mail letting you know you are getting a Special % Week Sample but IF you read the fine print, you have been given a subscription that you have to pay for unless you call within the five weeks and cancel. And if you don't call and cancel - you have to pay for a subscription you didn't ask for... UNBELIEVABLE!! They are basically shoving a subscription down your throat!! This can't be legal. Don't subscribe with the Denver Post. I subscribed 9 weeks ago with Sunday delivery and I have yet to receive a physical paper to my house. I have reported this every week and they say they will send out a replacement, give me a credit and report the problem with the delivery team. My neighbor across the street gets the paper but yet the delivery person cannot turn around and deliver one to my house. And when you ask for a refund, they tell you they don't provide refunds. So I paid for a service and they refuse to deliver that service but they won't give a refund for that service either. This is ridiculous! This is a crime that they take your money and don't provide the services you paid for. All I want is my money back since they refuse to deliver a paper to me!! read more

Let's start with the rag itself. It has become so skimpy that it feels like you're picking up one of those little suburban newspapers. Westwood is bigger! The Sunday edition is a little bigger but it's mostly advertising. The focus has shifted, too. There are way too many articles that are rife with sensationalism and way too much focus on marijuana. Come on, folks. We have elderly parents in our home so we need to have the print edition for them. If it weren't for them we would just be going digital. We are also currently receiving The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, delivered by the same carrier. We have had many, many delivery problems in the past several months. We didn't receive the papers today at all, and they can't schedule a "redelivery." Honestly, if they weren't the only game in town we would have jumped ship by now. read more

Terrible customer relations today. No digital edition available to me. trtied reboots, etc., error kept saying "internal server" problem. Finally called customer service, they said they had "heard" that there is a vendor problem, and that an email will be sent when the digital is available. Why wasn't an email sent to tell us what was going on, rather than have to call customer service! No email by 6 PM, so tried calling CS again.....automated response is that inquiries about digital service are only handled during normal business hours. Thanks a lot Post! I'll be calling for a refund of the days service since I did not get what I paid for. I can accept a business having a problem and I can be flexible and patient, but I expect better communication when there is an issue! read more

I am so angry at the Denver Post! Just because this is the only local newspaper, they think they are above giving customers good service. The business office has messed up my account more than once. I am a senior and I was told the paper doesn't offer senior rates anymore. He said I would have to pay $150/ month for Sunday-Saturday!I told them I didn't want to subscribe to the paper anymore. The person said "let me see what I can do for you!" He came back on and said that I could get the paper 7 days a week for $36.00/a month! I did subscribe and opted for auto pay on the 24th of each month and gave them my card number. This was going fine for a few months until they stopped taking my payments out and told me that I canceled my subscription...which I did not! I got it straightened out and it was ok for about 6 months. Two months ago they emailed me that I hadn't paid for 4 months and I owed them $135! They said that I canceled my auto pay! I didn't and I wanted the account current. They said the only was to re-instate my account was to pay $135! I told them to cancel my subscription. Two days ago I called to ask what the cost for senior 7 day a week and they said I could go back to $37/a week and the paper would start delivery on December 7th...today.I looked for then paper today...not there. I called the Denver Post office and I was told the driver was no longer in this area but I would get both today and tomorrow paper tomorrow! I am really angry about this. I moved to Denver a few weeks ago, maybe a month and have been surprised by traffic in the city, unable to get to where we were trying to go because of a total lack of local knowledge. The first time is was a huge art show in Cherry Creek, the second time it was a bike race. So clearly there needs to be a solution.... AHA a newspaper! So I subscribe to the Wednesday and Sunday Denver Post. Genius right, I get local information about what is going on so that I can maneuver around the city. It's been two weeks and my "paper boy" and I have developed this little game... it's called Find The Paper". I have to look around in the bushes to find where it is. No matter, I've found it all 3 times to far. So today, I was looking forward to The Sunday Paper. (The romance of The Sunday Times is something I remember fondly as a kid... I didn't subscribe to a paper when I lived in SoCal, we were on the beach or something) So today I search and search and search... no paper. The Husband checks up on me in case I'm a moron... no paper. I try to call customer service. HA! lots of button pushing later I get a computer to give me credit but that's not what I want... I mistakenly took the Denver Post up on an ad for savings on Sunday paper delivery. My payment cleared immediately but no paper for 2 weeks so I called. I got a paper late in the day that Sunday the next Sunday after a call of no delivery. Since then no amount of calling and being told the complaint was being "elevated" has resulted in receipt of a paper. I have not had a paper in 9 weeks-it is clearly a scam for delivering nothing. Do NOT waste your money on home delivery. The paper does not arrive with any kind of regularity. When you call customer "service" you will wait on hold forever. In fairness, they say you can press 1 and enter your phone number for a call back but that doesn't work. When you tell the representative you want to cancel, he will transfer your call, so you will wait another 15 minutes on hold. The customer service supervisor will tell you they will give you more days of not getting your paper, but they won't give you your money back, so you will probably get angry and ask for the supervisor's supervisor who's name is Ryan, but Ryan doesn't have a last name, so you will have to hang up still angry and try to find another number to call. Save yourself the frustration and do not ever subscribe for home delivery. read more

We were solicited to sign up for the post on 9/30 at Walmart. I selected twice per week (wed/sun). On 10/5, I was contacted on how my delivery went. I informed the agent that I had not yet received a paper. I was asked to contact them again if I missed more papers in the future. Fast forward to 10/11. I did not receive any papers the second week so I called customer service after work. I was kept on hold until after 5 pm then told I had to call back during business hours and was disconnected. I called 10/12, and the rep was yelling at me for not calling earlier about the missed Sunday delivery. After a heated exchange, I cancelled my subscription, never having received a paper, no refund offered nor given. My wife and I wanted to get the paper but they couldn't manage to do it. We signed up for Sunday's and received it the first one after we subscribed, after that nothing. I called every week and told them we didn't get it. I really wanted to give them a shot. They said we had a new carrier in our area and they would make a note, then they said they would pass a note on to the manager when I called to cancel and gave us 2 free weeks. After I didn't get those I told them I was tired of calling and was done. That was 1 out of 6 weeks. We really wanted some print media to read on the weekend because we get tired of looking at screens all week. If I could give this 0 stars I would. They never delivered a single paper, never notified me of my subscription ending, and then called me endlessly afterwards. I was called at 5:15pm and they begged me to extend my subscription and pay a 50cent overdue balance. And then I was told that I would have to call during business hours to cancel my subscription and pay the balance and this cannot be done online. This individual stated they were unable to do so. I then waited on hold and was bounced around to 5 people before I was able to close my account. And then spoke to the same person who "couldn't" the day before. I was under the impression the fee would be waived since I NEVER GOT A SINGLE PAPER. I was told my account was closed and I would receive no further correspondence. The next day I received ANOTHER call begging me to extend my subscription. And also letting me know about the "small fee" on my account. At this point I gave up and paid it because I would have paid them to stop blowing up my phone daily. Terrible service. Don't do it. read more

Not a great newspaper, they also commit fraud. If you sign up for a year subscription at a promo price but don't want to continue, make sure to cancel a month in advance. They charge well before your subscription ends and they won't send you a renewal notice first, which is required by the FTC. What entity can never deliver the paper on time or at all, raise your rates and ignore customers complaints? The DENVER POST is the answer. If you call their customer service line (303-832-3232) you will have to say you did not get the paper 3 times in order to get to a person. That person cannot do ANYTHING for you. Ask to speak to a supervisor...they will do even less! Ask to speak to the manager, Tom Delaney- good luck with that!! And then the delivery person will either skip your home or throw the paper so hard it would break a window!!! They really do not care about the individual! read more

Like so many others I am tired of the absence of consistent delivery service. It is actually a surprise if I find a newspaper has been delivered on any given morning. Worse still, they also don't deliver my NewYork Times which is harder to find locally, especially on Sunday. Today the representative was surprised to learn that I would like a morning paper delivered in the morning and not 3pm, the next day, or not at all. Denver Post suck. I paid for a year subscription with them. After 3 months of service, they stopped delivering my newspaper. I called the customer service line to report missing papers, 3 weeks in a row I spoked to several so called managers (Joey was one) and was promised a paper delivery of newspaper the same day or credit neither has happened yet. Today ( Mothers Day) is week 4 no Sunday paper. I guess because they are the only news carrier they think they can treat their customers anyway they choose to. Bought a Groupon for Sunday delivery and $20. Amazon gift card. So far, out of 4 weeks, didn't get the paper twice, and no gift card. BTW, Groupon has removed its customer service number, so you really have to hunt for their live chat. Don't expect much; they will not intervene with a provider (like the Post) who has not fulfilled an offer. Update - got the Amazon card today (email from DP yesterday said it would take 10 - 14 business days). So rating improved, but delivery still spotty, with no replacement, apology, or any contact. I'm giving this trainwreck one star as i couldn't give it a fraction of a star. Paid for a subscription to my new house and gave them all the pertinent info for delivery. What a cluster. Every week and 2x a week wondering where the paper was. Was delivered to 2 different addresses but not mine. I delivered papers when I was a 11 year old kid. It's not brain surgery. These people are horrible. On April 13th, I signed up for a "30 day trial for $.99". I put a note on my calendar for May 10th to remind me to decide whether I wanted to go with the subscription or cancel while in the trial. Then, on May 7th, Denver Post charged my account $11.99 for a full month subscription. When I called customer service to ask what happened to the 30 day trial, the lady told me I was lucky they didn't charge it earlier because they normally charge for each month a full month in advance. What an obvious crock. It's not the money, it's the principle of the thing (although I'm sure they must make a boatload of money off this scam if they similarly stick everybody who signs up for a trial).
