I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Ellisville Dental. The only issue…read morewith my teeth was a small gap between my front teeth. Treatment began at the beginning of 2023, and I was charged $4,800 upfront. I paid 50% out of pocket, and the rest was billed to my medical insurance. They set up an auto-pay plan that was supposed to last 12 months at $200 per month. However, they continued charging me for more than 14 months without clear explanation. I requested a full payment and charge breakdown more than 20 times, and they repeatedly refused to provide it. Over the course of nearly 3 years, I was required to attend more than 30 appointments and wear over 50 invisible trays. During this time, I was charged additional fees multiple times for "extra trays" and "lab fees." In total, I ended up spending over $6,000. Despite all of this time, money, and effort, my teeth look essentially the same as they did before treatment. The gap was never fixed, and instead of taking responsibility, they told me I would need to wear a retainer for life. To make matters worse, when I requested a replacement retainer at the end of treatment, they asked me $360. I later confirmed directly with the lab that the actual cost of the retainer is about $10. Ellisville Dental takes no responsibility for failed treatment outcomes and refuses to provide transparency regarding billing or payments. I endured 3 years of discomfort, over 30 appointments, and even a minor surgical procedure, only to end up with no improvement. I have gathered all documentation, including before-and-after photos and payment records, and I am preparing to file a lawsuit. I would strongly caution others to think twice before choosing Ellisville Dental.

I never felt uncomfortable on my visit everyone in her office made me feel at home. Who would believe you could feel comfortable at your Dentist office. I first went here five years ago and liked the dentist so would get my routine cleanings and work done despite the rude staff. A big thing I did with them was get a mouth guard for my teeth grinding and pain. When you do a service here you pay directly after, they do not send it to your home for billing. So inquired before the mold was done if it was covered and it was at 80%. I received the mold and paid my bill. I went back a couple more times for a cleaning before the office said they don't take my insurance and I ended up moving states anyway so no big deal. I moved twice since seeing them and had mail forwarding for years and did not change my phone number or email. 4 years later I get an email from a collection agency claiming I owe almost $500 for an outstanding bill. I'm confused because it's been 4 years and have not received any notice. When I call the office manger Christine she starts out very rude and dismissive and says that I was notified and that the insurance would have sent me an explanation of benefits saying my original claim for the guard was denied and I need to pay. I state that I have not been contacted and asked why it was denied she claims she does not know and I could call the insurance company. I call my insurance and they state they sent the dentist a claim why it was denied because they didn't state my condition and all they needed was to resubmit (sent from initial claim years ago), and they never heard back. They also stated the amount I should have paid and I have a receipt showing I paid that amount the day of service. I told the office about this and that they should resubmit. I also asked them to send me the proof that they contacted me in four years since interest was added to the bill and the original bill. They ignored my request for the contact and sent the initial bill. The office re-submitted and called saying that my insurance paid the rest and that they would call collections. I asked if they could also follow up with an email stating that I have a zero balance and that this situation is taken care of with collections so nothing further comes of it in the future and the office manager refused and said insurance would send me and explanation of benefits. After explaining that I don't want this situation to happen again she said she can't email but she can mail and hung up without getting any of my information after her knowing I no longer live there. Save yourself the drama and stress. Go to a place that values the customers, treats you with respect, and knows the job.

Dr Best has an oxymoronic name. My experience with her and her office were awful. She wasted over 2 1/2 hours of my time and never presented a treatment plan to me. My second visit was a sales meeting they forced me to attend, rescheduled and then made me wait an hour before I left. My advice if you have a similar experience is: 1. Demand they refund your evaluation fee, they refunded mine. 2. Consider retaining legal counsel if they refuse to appropriately handle your dental needs. My guess is you will be far from alone. Also understand how much you are going to pay for implants it is likely 5 figures. You are basically investing in a luxury product. Demand good service or go elsewhere. Many dentists want implant patients at $20k-$100k, so don't put up with Dr Worst who could care less about you or your time. That was at least my experience. Dentists can make millions a year. They deserve to be harshly reviewed if they decide profits not patients are more important.
