My first impression was negative and I should have walked out right then: the barber's cape. This thing was CRUUUUSTY. Tored up a bit at the neck and with residues of many other people's DNA around the neck Then there was the issue of the roughness. It felt like I was in a boxing match, with my head being knocked around every other way with his hands and the machines he was using. About the cut itself, Mr. Ray basically did whatever he wanted. He Give me a "conservative gent's" cut, as he called it: not nearly as much as I requested him to cut. And the cherry on top: when shaving the back of my neck (with trimmer) it felt as if he was doing it with needles and knives, with the end result being huge, raised, furious RED WELTS on my neck that I still have three days later. So bad that I have been applying antibiotics to them. In conclusion, if what you enjoy is a dirty, incredibly overpriced, Rough, underwhelming, and potentially infectious haircut, then Sugar Ray (and this place) is your man.

I also prefer a barber who can scissor cut along with the clippers. Legends has "someone" for everyone. Both Men and women barbers. All of the barbers are highly skilled with various textures & curl pattern. This barbershop represents Howard county and it's amazing diversity. I've never seen anything like it. My barber Dani knew exactly what I wanted. My little guy felt extremely comfortable and loves his haircut. I highly recommend this barbershop for Everyone!! Moms especially who have children with finer textures or biracial children will benefit from Legends. Five stars across the board!!

Looking into the mirror wondering how to rectify the uneven mess of hair that fate and the stylist dealt me. I inquisit to myself, "Did I not ask the stylist if they could cut my hair as depicted in the picture? Did I not give clear and simple feedback about how I wished for my hair to look?" With each hollow question I asked, I was filled with the simple answer... "I did." The stylist seemed to have something to hide as they pointed my fearful eyes away from the mirror that would have at least offered me the devil I knew as an option in my pursuit of confidence. I was allowed glimmers of truth at the occasional spin of the chair allowed me to see the, yet remaining, unfinished work in progress. I tried in vain to offer my desires through the vehicle of communication, speaking simply and as the common man to make my heart known. My words received with confirmation yet unacted upon. I remain yet, unsatisfied. My sweet $17 +tip gone to the pressure of approval as I cowered from the truth. The truth that begged to say, it is UNFINISHED. All silliness aside, I still lack the confidence to ask for it to be fixed as my communication was clearly not followed in the first place. I don't mean to be harsh, and maybe this is just my personal experience but this was really not a good hair cut. It was uneven and rushed and the communication was labor-some and at times simply ignored.

My uncle taught me exactly what to look for--precision, consistency, and that innate sense of style that can't be faked. I've been going to US Barbers for over 25 years now, and from day one, I approached it the way I was taught: I observed every barber in the shop before making my choice. It didn't take long to see that this place was full of skilled, talented professionals. Once I found my barber, I never looked back--I've been completely satisfied ever since. The level of service and expertise at US Barbers rivals any high-end salon, but at a fraction of the price. To me, a haircut is a personal service that deserves appreciation, which is why I always tip $5. It's my way of recognizing the craftsmanship and care that go into every cut. US Barbers isn't just a neighborhood shop--it's a hidden gem full of genuine talent.

That's what we pay in our hometown so we were well satisfied. Yesterday, my husband sat in Julius's chair and for the exact same service, he charged us $50!!! I thought this was outrageous but we were on a time crunch and I didn't have time to go back & forth. But later after speaking to a few men after seeing my husband, they informed me that we were definitely taken advantage of...probably because I am a woman caregiver for my disabled, post-stroke husband. I am so disappointed that we were treated this way so that's why I felt the need to warn others of how you may be treated here as well. As we frequent Columbia in our travels, we definitely will not be patronizing this business again unless something is done to rectify our situation.
