I also prefer a barber who can scissor cut along with the clippers. Legends has "someone" for everyone. Both Men and women barbers. All of the barbers are highly skilled with various textures & curl pattern. This barbershop represents Howard county and it's amazing diversity. I've never seen anything like it. My barber Dani knew exactly what I wanted. My little guy felt extremely comfortable and loves his haircut. I highly recommend this barbershop for Everyone!! Very professional atmosphere mixed with a laid back vibe. Thuan is one of if not the best barber in the area. San, the owner, is polite and you can tell that he loves his shop. They offer free adult beverages and water and juice for the kiddos. They engage in good conversation, whether it's sports, what's in the news today, or just about life in general. Sorry Tee, but you did this to yourself. So I never ever ever post negative reviews cause I'm all about client experience and leaving positive stuff. But today I had one of the most embarrassing experiences and I am very disappointed. My fiancé and I came in to get his hair done for OUR WEDDING in 4 days and no it wasn't smart to get his hair done by someone who has never touched his hair but that's a different story. I wanted to sit next to my fiancé as he got his hair cut just incase. Pretty reasonable since it's for our wedding lol. But Tee made it very clear I wasn't able to. She said "can you please go to the front I can't have you breathing down my neck" .. so I asked to sit in the chair next to him, she said "no someone is coming back" okay so I asked to sit in a few other chairs and she said "no I can't have you in this space" and that my fiancé is a "big boy" and can "get his hair done by himself". Okay so at that point I sat from a distance, but in a salon chair. Because she disrespected and already started my fiancés hair. She went way too short like my god. I couldn't stand it so I left. He came out of the barber shop and all I thought to myself was wow that's short but is she done? His hair doesn't look finished. It still needs to be blended from the fade. The sides are uneven. I am no barber, but I know what blending is. I'm giving this a one star cause we have to go somewhere else to get his hair fixed for our wedding. And also because Tee was rude to me. Client is always right. Even when they are annoying or whatever. I know this because I work with people. Tee did not even show me that my opinion mattered and that client is always right. Im bothered by our experience there because my fiancé used to get really good haircuts there but with someone who no longer works there. Tee, please have some sympathy for people and especially for people who are getting married. Not a single "oh congratulations" lol. It was just "please stop breathing down my neck". Gooooooooood. My usual barber was out of town and she's been cutting my hair for years, so I went to their new facility to a new barber. Worst haircut of my life asked for a half guard fade... one of my sides was faded up to middle of the top of my head. The other side wasn't even faded. I got home and had to cut around my ears cause there were hairs everywhere. Only reason I gave it two stars is because my usual barber is amazing. I'll never go to their new Jessup place again. read more

Was visiting Ellicott City, and needed a hair cut. I was a walk in, got seated within 15 mins of getting there. The haircut itself was quick too - another 15 mins. She was friendly and efficient. She did a great job with my hair, and even worked on my beard. I was super happy with the outcome of both my beard and the hair. A super job for $35! Came in as a walk in, wasn't aware they are more of an upscale barber shop. MAN, was this place set up. Offered a (NA) beverage when I walked in a luckily found an open chair. Now, I'm a military guys so I usually just get the back and sides straight razored so it's usually the same old same old. BEST.SKIN.FADE.EVER!! Great place, super friendly with a great staff!! My 6 year old decided he wanted a fade with a hard side part so I figured it would be better to take him to a barber rather than our usual salon. Looked on Yelp & found Legends...they did not disappoint! Prices are fair, $15 for a kids cut which is less than I usually pay. Their service and skill is superb. They had a variety of drinks and donuts for customers. They are also kid friendly, had tablets for the kids to watch while getting their hair cut. I started a new job in a nearby office park in Elkridge and decided that I needed to find a new, convenient barber close to my new office. After doing some research, I decided to give Legends a shot. Their website is nice and professional and the pictures and reviews were solid. I stopped by around lunch time and Thuan was available to give me a cut. My first impression of the shop was that it is super clean. The decor is a great mix of industrial and traditional barbershop. They greet you when you walk in and they'll even typically offer you a beer or other drink. Thuan was super friendly. He was happy to converse with me during the haircut but wasn't the kind of barber that forces conversation, either, which I really appreciate. He did a great job on my cut. It took a little longer than most places I've been, but his attention to detail surpassed those places, as well, so it's definitely a worthy trade off. They welcome walk ins but I definitely would recommend calling ahead to make an appointment, as they seem like they get fairly busy throughout the day. I called in for my next appointment but Thuan wasn't there, but they gave me his cell phone and he was more than happy to make an appointment for me later today. As long as I'm local to the area Legends will remain my go-to place. read more

The decor is very beautiful inside upscale barbershop made to make you feel like royalty. When walking in I was offered a beverage, they even had doughnuts set out for the customers. We've always wanted to try Thuan and he does not disappoint. Great cuts and conversation. My kids are comfortable and love it here. I went there before I had a conference to go to. My usual barber was closed and my second option was too. I looked on yelp for a place that could cut a black man's hair, thus I found Legends Barber shop. The reviews were great and when I got to the place it seemed like she knew what she was doing. She was boasting about how she can cut a full head of hair in 15 minutes. However, it was a disaster. My fade was uneven, she pushed my sideburns back 2 inch's, and my hairline was uneven. I did not really notice how bad it was until I got home because I was in such a hurry. When I got home I was immediatly enraged. I do not recommend Legends to any black man because of what they did to me, and I will NEVER EVER go back to that place. Not to mention she cut me with the razor. read more
