Moved in the building 2 months ago and it's been a smooth transition. The building is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful.

What is home? Long have I searched for the answer to this…read morequestion. My thoughts fill my head as I make my daily walk back. Most of my life I have felt a constant restlessness, a yearning for more. The days have begun to blend together as I journey through life unsatisfied. I am a slave to my emptiness, an itch deep in my spine that I continue to reach for but never will. I wasn't always this way. There was a time before when we were all together there, before I was on my own here. My dreams now consist of fading memories of that place. The same loop plays that I refuse to change in fear of letting something new replace all I have left. I stop walking. I come back here each day to start over the way I began before. The sun is rising slowly, casting away the shadows of the day before. The morning is quiet as it waits for the new day to begin, prompting me to close my eyes and drift into the depths of my mind. Suddenly, a hand rests on my shoulder bringing me out of my solitude. I quickly look around searching for the source of the disturbance when something catches my eye. There is a path I had not noticed before. It looks familiar, but I have never seen it. A feeling of curiosity and purpose overcomes me as I make my way down the path and further from where I came. It it occurs to me after awhile that I cannot remember how to get back. Thoughts of the past flood back in an attempt cling to something, but I shut them out, focusing on the task at hand. I need to keep moving. Instead of fear, only calmness greets me like a patient friend. I am ready. My steps come to a halt as a door remains. It says something on it. "Silverado Apartments: a great neighborhood, nice luxury apartments, and has a homey feel to it." I pause and take a deep breath, pushing the door open as I walk through. This is home.

Management and maintenance are very sweet, helpful, and generally just great at what they do. Griselda regularly brings vendors to the complex and hosts events for the residents, which are both great at community building. If you have pets they're very accommodating, and you can't beat the variety of walking paths that branch from the apartments, I have atleast 15 different walks I can rotate. There's really nothing to complain about, my 3 years here had many great memories. And may as well mention rent was never drastically increased. Highly recommend.

UPDATE (after seeing owner response): I haven't received any…read morecontact via phone or email from The View since this review yet the owner claims they attempted to contact me. I wanted to clear that up before someone gets gaslit into living here based on the owner's response to my experience. The cost of utilities I was charged here have still been the highest I've paid in utilities in all of the apartments I have lived in to date. I frequently called to make sure they weren't reading the wrong meter. We had moved out a month early and the utility bill remained as high as months when we did live a full month there. Also, I feel the way trash and sewer is divided amongst tenants is unfair. It was explained to me that trash and sewer was split equally amongst all of the units, this did not differ between one bedroom units and three bedroom units. So unfortunately if you are a two bedroom household you're still getting charged the same amount of trash as a family of four. I understand this is policy but I just want to warn others that their utilities will run high. As far as the fees I mentioned that are impossible to get out of. Although the fees are small the cost range depending on payment type, (ACH, Credit Card, Check) and all of them had a fee. I am personally one to try and avoid unnecessary fees and had emailed a leasing manger at the time of living there who told me that all of their payment options had fees. So if there was a free option, the leasing manager neglected to tell me and it was not an option in the booklet they provided at move in on how to pay rent. I was not given the option to walk the apartment before signing our lease but I understand how I should've asked. It should be policy to walk the unit before signing so future residents don't need to ask. My move in inspection form included many issues I had with the apartment including the scuffs, missing items, dents, etc. We did the inspection immediately upon move in. It wasn't until a week later when we fully moved that we found tampons behind the drawers of the bathroom cabinet, tampons and socks under and around the washer/dryer, bugs and crumbs on the top of the cabinets and in drawers. For the toilet concerns, I didn't know Reno was known for hard water which contributes to the mold growing in the toilet. I have never had a mold issue before or after moving into the apartment. I won't be blaming the hard water. I had to bleach clean the toilet at the end of every week to keep it from taking over the toilet. I understand you having your staffs back and admire that but I did indeed get yelled at by (I believe Michelle) when requesting a maintenance order for the black mold growing in my toilet. When I explained to her that I attempted to clean it with bleach but it continued to grow back she yelled at me that I should have never tried to fix the issue without consulting management first. Maybe we interpreted the conversation differently? After the conversation I stopped bleaching the toilet only for the maintenance guy to tell me that it was definitely black mold and to buy bleach tablets to fix it. What's the point in discussing the concerns if you're just going to lie and deny them? At the end of the day I would not recommend these apartments. The staff is not friendly and they do not care about your safety. Again, there are plenty friendlier, affordable, and cleanly apartments near UNR. Don't let these people take advantage of you or lie to you!

The gym, pool, and jacuzzi is nice and clean. There is night security that roams around property which is also a plus for safety. Trash pick up is everyday, leave outside in front of the garage between 8am-11am (this is what you pay in the contract along with utilities - sewer, trash, and water). The attached garage parking or detached covered garage parking is a plus, as many other competitors do not have that. There are no carports, you get a garage. The view is nice and they are expanding with additional buildings in the future. There are many competitors around the area and are opening new apartments, but I stuck with Homecoming At Kiley Ranch because of it's peacefulness and elite customer service. Collette and the team cares and do their best to accommodate your requests. It's not going to be always perfect, but very close to tailor your needs/wants. They also take feedback and criticism well, and the property manager may consider fun things in the future and ideas to make the property always safe. Work with them and they will work with you. In Summary, I enjoy the apartment complex as other properties are not up to par with the customer service and care. It is a new property and they are willing to adapt. Hopefully, prices do not go up is my concern! Thank you Homecoming At Kiley Ranch Team!

I've been here for a year and I have gotten nothing but harassment by everybody. I get notes on my door weekly from neighbor saying that my kids need to "shut up"teacher children to behave better "teacher Dawg to shut up "make sure you stay more quiet I have a five-year-old and a three-year-old and I get constantly harassed and then today at the pool I got harassed by one of the security guard stating that I needed to be leaving my three-year-old child in the pool and stay with my six-year-old in the hot tub when I had witnesses showing that I was a very active mother let me add that single mother watching both of her children staying consistently in the middle between them, ensuring their safety at all times also they had a lifejackets on nevertheless, this is by far the worst place I have ever experienced. I constantly get harassed by neighbors. They treated like a 55 and over communities so heaven forbid you have children because they do not like having kids here they say that they like dogs, but they don't. I frequently put my trash out and they will consistently ignore my trash and not pick it up. I consistently get notes and complaints on the door. This place completely ruined my rental history now that I'm trying to find a different place to move, they have completely destroyed. My credibility as a renter and all I have done is done my best to be a good tenant and keep to ourselves. I've always paid rent on time. I've always paid utilities on time. I've always picked up my dog poop I've always been my very best to be cordial to other people but apparently when you're a single mom who has a five-year-old and a three-year-old with severe ADHD and on the spectrum, you will absolutely be hated in this Little what they wanna call community. It's absolutely terrible. Do not move here. I beg you do not move here. Oh, and to add an extra complaint, the security gal who has seen me there multiple multiple times since I've been here an entire year and I'm there with my kids at least 3 to 4 times a week. She took a picture right in front of my face and then took my child's picture and walked away not OK. And you would think that when I bring these issues up to the office, they would actually help but unfortunately all I got from them was more harassment. I got ignored and told that I'm the problem, even though I I have witnesses and evidence funny thing is I'm barely even home cause I work a medical job about 60 hours a week and the only time that we're home is at night on the weekends and yet I get harassment on my door and let me tell you something you go to complain about them they will not help you. I even had a neighbor saying that my dad, my dog attacked them even though my dog's a service animal and hasn't even touched anybody in this neighborhood. Needless to say they treat this place like a 55 and over community so if you have an active lifestyle active kids go look somewhere else.
