What is home? Long have I searched for the answer to this…read morequestion. My thoughts fill my head as I make my daily walk back. Most of my life I have felt a constant restlessness, a yearning for more. The days have begun to blend together as I journey through life unsatisfied. I am a slave to my emptiness, an itch deep in my spine that I continue to reach for but never will. I wasn't always this way. There was a time before when we were all together there, before I was on my own here. My dreams now consist of fading memories of that place. The same loop plays that I refuse to change in fear of letting something new replace all I have left. I stop walking. I come back here each day to start over the way I began before. The sun is rising slowly, casting away the shadows of the day before. The morning is quiet as it waits for the new day to begin, prompting me to close my eyes and drift into the depths of my mind. Suddenly, a hand rests on my shoulder bringing me out of my solitude. I quickly look around searching for the source of the disturbance when something catches my eye. There is a path I had not noticed before. It looks familiar, but I have never seen it. A feeling of curiosity and purpose overcomes me as I make my way down the path and further from where I came. It it occurs to me after awhile that I cannot remember how to get back. Thoughts of the past flood back in an attempt cling to something, but I shut them out, focusing on the task at hand. I need to keep moving. Instead of fear, only calmness greets me like a patient friend. I am ready. My steps come to a halt as a door remains. It says something on it. "Silverado Apartments: a great neighborhood, nice luxury apartments, and has a homey feel to it." I pause and take a deep breath, pushing the door open as I walk through. This is home.

Management and maintenance are very sweet, helpful, and generally just great at what they do. Griselda regularly brings vendors to the complex and hosts events for the residents, which are both great at community building. If you have pets they're very accommodating, and you can't beat the variety of walking paths that branch from the apartments, I have atleast 15 different walks I can rotate. There's really nothing to complain about, my 3 years here had many great memories. And may as well mention rent was never drastically increased. Highly recommend.

Thank you to The View for a great 3 years! We have lived at a few different apartment complexes…read moreover the years and this one is hands down the best! The staff is friendly, the area is quiet, maintenance is always quick and helpful, and they have community events like food trucks and a cornhole tournament!. We've truly enjoyed this place over the years and it's been a great place to live!

UPDATE (after seeing owner response): I haven't received any…read morecontact via phone or email from The View since this review yet the owner claims they attempted to contact me. I wanted to clear that up before someone gets gaslit into living here based on the owner's response to my experience. The cost of utilities I was charged here have still been the highest I've paid in utilities in all of the apartments I have lived in to date. I frequently called to make sure they weren't reading the wrong meter. We had moved out a month early and the utility bill remained as high as months when we did live a full month there. Also, I feel the way trash and sewer is divided amongst tenants is unfair. It was explained to me that trash and sewer was split equally amongst all of the units, this did not differ between one bedroom units and three bedroom units. So unfortunately if you are a two bedroom household you're still getting charged the same amount of trash as a family of four. I understand this is policy but I just want to warn others that their utilities will run high. As far as the fees I mentioned that are impossible to get out of. Although the fees are small the cost range depending on payment type, (ACH, Credit Card, Check) and all of them had a fee. I am personally one to try and avoid unnecessary fees and had emailed a leasing manger at the time of living there who told me that all of their payment options had fees. So if there was a free option, the leasing manager neglected to tell me and it was not an option in the booklet they provided at move in on how to pay rent. I was not given the option to walk the apartment before signing our lease but I understand how I should've asked. It should be policy to walk the unit before signing so future residents don't need to ask. My move in inspection form included many issues I had with the apartment including the scuffs, missing items, dents, etc. We did the inspection immediately upon move in. It wasn't until a week later when we fully moved that we found tampons behind the drawers of the bathroom cabinet, tampons and socks under and around the washer/dryer, bugs and crumbs on the top of the cabinets and in drawers. For the toilet concerns, I didn't know Reno was known for hard water which contributes to the mold growing in the toilet. I have never had a mold issue before or after moving into the apartment. I won't be blaming the hard water. I had to bleach clean the toilet at the end of every week to keep it from taking over the toilet. I understand you having your staffs back and admire that but I did indeed get yelled at by (I believe Michelle) when requesting a maintenance order for the black mold growing in my toilet. When I explained to her that I attempted to clean it with bleach but it continued to grow back she yelled at me that I should have never tried to fix the issue without consulting management first. Maybe we interpreted the conversation differently? After the conversation I stopped bleaching the toilet only for the maintenance guy to tell me that it was definitely black mold and to buy bleach tablets to fix it. What's the point in discussing the concerns if you're just going to lie and deny them? At the end of the day I would not recommend these apartments. The staff is not friendly and they do not care about your safety. Again, there are plenty friendlier, affordable, and cleanly apartments near UNR. Don't let these people take advantage of you or lie to you!

I pay $1700 a month for a one bedroom which I've been at for 6 months. "apartment 1318"…read more Before my rant i should say, I've been trying to move out for months but for the charge of $3000 to opt out of my contract that just isn't happening lol The staff is friendly and it's located in a decent area buuut the bad is insane!! I hear absolutely every step from my upstairs neighbor which includes the walls and ceilings squeaking, then there's 6 people living in the two bedroom next door that have music playing at least three times a week until 4AM or the barking dogs from another neighbor all day long keep me awake or away from this place. everything ive mentioned has been documented and reported. My gutters leak since the day I moved in so every time it rains or snows i Don't have a walk path to get to my vehicle. The ac/heater is so dated so you can't sleep at night with it running or it will probably wake you up from how loud it is. It turns on about every 15 minutes so now I just shut it off and hope for the best weather. Helps keep out the marijuana and smoking smell if you just leave it off. You are literally forced to pay for their WiFi and cable plan (no questions asked) for about "$100 a month" although there are much better deals out there. Plumbing and electrical issues are pretty constant but not too bad for the price I'm paying pretty stressful though. There's absolutely no security. No cameras or gates so anybody can just come in. I had a dog scratch the heck out of my truck and a neighbors buddy's vehicle was broken into and robbed. Neither of us had any luck finding out who or how. I'm not mad, it is what it is. I think/hope you get it. Just being 100% honest here. I have neighbors you can speak with and my number is 7753017864 if you have any questions or if you are adamant about moving in please take over my lease! :) Oh keep in mind no ceiling fan/light in your bedroom so that's always cool! lol I'm sure there's more im forgetting. Every single thing I've mentioned is the honest truth. I have documented all of this with photos and videos. $20,400 a year to live like this in a one bedroom in 2024 lol.
