It is about twenty minutes up to about half an hour away from Cardiff. It is such a unique toy shop and shop alone, which is what, does make it stand out from the crowd and all around it. It is the utter most perfect and ideal hand-made gifts for children that you simply will not find anywhere else. They do sell items such as; teddy bears for your glorious delights in wonder at the most perfect teddy bear friend to go on a picnic down to the woods with. Neatly; crafted hand-made toy soldiers all wonderfully lined up in a row; all that are ready to go marching in battle or up and down a hill to follow their King wherever he may wish to go and wherever he may wish to take them with him. This is the most wonderful ideal toy shop in the world for children as there are many more items in stock there with the same beautifulness detail that were marvellously crafted from their craft makers. The staff are polite and friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable enough considering the fact that all the effort that was gone into creating them would have cost a fair bit. But they are worth their money I assure you.

From riding clothes, to helmets, to saddles (of all prices), to hoof picks etc. they sell everything you could possibly imagine except for the horses themselves. However if it's a pony you're after (lucky thing) there is a noticeboard, which advertises local horses for sale. Additional it also lists a schedule for local riding events and competitions such as show jumping and dressage. Pritchard's isn't just a shop it really is the centre of the local riding community. I wouldn't exactly call the proprietor friendly, however he really is an expert when it comes to riding gear and accessories. If you're into horse riding, or perhaps planning to start, Pritchards is undoubtedly the best saddlery in South Wales (or perhaps even Wales itself)!

Ornaments; expensive watches, china, vases, paintings, a grandfather clock or two, jewellery, furniture and some stairs slap bang in the middle of it all leading up to a second floor, where there is a... a tiny, busy little cafe all springing and is full of wonderful life and joy. Down stairs you can hear the chattering of female voices; the old baby or toddler crying, plates, knives, forks, and cutlery cluttering together, and sometimes the odd smashing sound of china, but that is extremely rare. A small cafe that is very popular; making it very busy regularly, depending on the time of year perhaps. It is a quaint and neat building and cafe and I have enjoyed going there every so often. It is out of the back and beyond almost, but there are some other shops and places to visit around there. The food prices are brilliant and I always enjoy having crisps with every yummy sandwich order and the delicious creamy cakes. The staff are very happy and smiley people and they welcome you to their hubby hole, that is very cosy indeed.

There is a shoe place but quite small and we have never really liked anything in there. For accessories it's pretty good with some conservative and some quite wacky. The changing room has enough capacity for everyone.

I know a lot of people don't care for Peacocks by I really like it. It's come a long way from the…read moreutilitarian drab stuff they had twenty years ago when I used to just buy cheap baby clothes. Now they've gone in for the sort of hippy look which, when you're my age takes you back to a life when clothes were important. It's incredibly cheap and, although there is some rubbish there also always seems to be something I'm quite tempted by. It's also a good place for some standard underwear, socks and T-shirts. They like to do those '3 for 2' sort of deals which is fine when you are trying to replace old strappy tops. The swimwear is also good and in a bigger range of sizes than most.
