I had the worst experience at [Barbershop Name] in Savannah, GA, on 12/14/2024. As a first-time customer, I called ahead to confirm their availability and expertise in fades. A young man named Will assured me they specialized in the service. Upon arriving, I showed a clear photo of the style I wanted. What I received, however, was a haircut that was the complete opposite of what I requested--poorly executed and nowhere near professional standards.
To make matters worse, I paid $40 for this subpar service. I contacted the owner immediately to explain the issue and request a refund. While he initially seemed understanding and asked for photos, his follow-up was vague and unhelpful. He even made excuses, saying the barber was an independent contractor and that he simply rents out the chairs. This is unacceptable--he still owns the shop, and as the business owner, the responsibility falls on him.
The lack of professionalism and accountability from this barbershop was extremely disappointing. I've received no resolution and no communication since 12/15/2024, despite the owner's promise to address the situation within 24 hours.
I wanted to support a Black-owned business, but this experience left me feeling disrespected and disregarded as a customer. I regret trusting this establishment, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before visiting. read more
