Kalia is such a lovely gal, full of fun, happy to help out at any point, full of interesting info about Hawaiian culture and enthusiastic about sharing her skills with others. She is an excellent teacher and so friendly. Everyone enjoyed talking to one another, sharing ideas, and advice about other classes we had taken an Hui No'eau previously. The gardens, gallery and gift store are all lovely to walk though so make sure you don't miss out. Plus it is the perfect place to take a post class picnic in the shade and relax.

Over the years we have purchased paintings, glass sculptures and jewelry from Lynn at the gallery. In May of 2023 I visited the gallery with my friend Renee, who lives in Lahaina, and she admired the work of Tracy Dudley. In August of 2023 we were devastated to hear of the fire in Lahaina, and we knew that the gallery was lost along with all of the art. Fast forward to 2026 and Renee is getting married to James and I reached out to Tracey and Lynn to see if there was any art by Tracy that I could give them as a wedding gift. Sure enough there was, and I was so excited to give them two beautiful, framed prints with Tracy's and Lynn's help. As a fun note, when James saw the prints he commented, " hey isn't this the artist whose postcard has been on the refrigerator for years?" Indeed. I was having a normal, room-volume conversation with an elderly veteran when the owner came out and targeted me with a completely fabricated story. She claimed I sit there for "hours," when in reality, I've only used that bench three times ever. She then attempted to gaslight me, claiming my voice was "piercing her ears" and triggering her tinnitus--completely ignoring the loud, laughing family sitting right next to me. To top it off, she told me to "leave her property," despite these being benches on a public-facing tourist street where hundreds of people sit every single day without issue. I spoke with several other shopkeepers in the immediate area afterward, and they were all shocked to hear about her behavior. The shop looks inviting, but it is run by someone who is dishonest, exclusionary, and seemingly looking for reasons to harass people. If you have a service animal or just want to sit for ten minutes without being harassed with made-up stories, go somewhere else. The workers down the road have said she's done this numerous times to families and folks like myself. Complaining that the public irritate her tinnitus. Completely rude woman.

When you first walk in, you are treated by lots of local art in vibrant colors. In the back there are cases with eclectic jewelry, goddess style dresses, t-shirts and small gift items. The prices are on the high end, but this is a tourist mall and the items are unique. I've been searching for a pair of Sterling and Larimar earrings to match a gorgeous pendant and ring I have. Larimar is a sky blue stone from the Dominican Republic. It's rare and very very striking. Most earrings are small drops but I like long dangling earrings that make a statement. I found them here and didn't hesitate to by them immediately! The stones are large and a perfect shade of sky blue hanging from a curved hook so they hang at cheek level. Perfect! They were $138 and I already treasure them. Wish this shop had more jewelry, gifts and clothes! A gem amongst the stores at this mall. The woman waiting on me was super friendly and we easily engaged in conversation. I'll be back!
