One particular item that caught my attention was her painted rocks with charming animals on them. I snagged the "pussy-n-boots" raccoon (not called that but if you've seen Shrek, those eyes are totally there, haha) rock. It's a nice smooth little boulder that makes these painted animals look really cute and pop. I may have to line my entire studio front's sidewalk with these things! Things like spontaneous day trips going to small towns like this to support them put a big ol' smile on my face.

The staff here were extremely friendly and very helpful with whatever questions we had. Steve and I have been wanting to do a beach themed room for a very, very long time and were trying to get ideas as to how and what kind of decor we wanted to make that happen. For the longest time we just had bits and pieces for ideas at various stores but at Conservatory Coastal Home we had a good idea about a lot of the things we had in mind for such a room come all together to give us a fresh perspective as to how to go about creating our beach themed room.

The flatbread was nice and crispy with a good flavor for something pre-made and just needed to be heated. But the highlight of my visit was the Autumn Heat tea. The "Heat" refers to the spice level (one of the ingredients is Hot Honey), you can choose for it to be served hot or cold. I chose to have it served hot. I really enjoy spicy food and drinks. This tea was very spicy! If you enjoy spicy foods you should give this one a try. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this one! In addition to the technical books, it had a great selection of antiquarian books on other subjects. I spotted vintage children's books, classics, and poetry. There's a small selection of truly antiquarian books (prior to 1700) in Latin and Greek, as well. I need to go back to do quite a bit more digging around. The owner of the store is very pleasant to converse with. It's true that she prefers cash over credit cards, but as a small business I can't blame her at all. Credit card processing takes a big chunk of every transaction for the merchant.
