Oh man what a horrible experience I had here. After years of living in Florida I finally decided to travel back to the town of my youth and a place where I used to get the sweetest of treats. Well the nostalgia of my youth was split asunder. In my time away the replaced the workers with callous youth. I went in and wanted strawberry ice cream a simple request. The kid with the worst hair cut since the 6 7 boy meme came to me with an open gen z mouth stair. I asked do you have strawberry? He just said "huh?" In a sardonic uninterested voice. "Strawberry!" I said. Oh were out of hard ice cream bro so I ordered a root beer float instead. And let me tell you that root beer float while good gave me the most horrible bout of gas. I was visiting the Mokena Creamery 6/11/25 and ordered a strawberry sundae with whipped cream nut..which no designation was given..I'd expected pecans as with every other time I'd ordered. Received an overabundance of peanuts a half scoop of ice-cream and Carmel for days. Having designated a small amount. I literally threw the sundae away barely eaten. The young man that made it surely didn't represent your establishment well by his lackluster preparation of my 7.00 sundae. It should be noted i can buy a half gallon of ice cream at the near by Betkots for 7.00. Remains the highlight of my route. I've been watching how much I have been spending and eating recently, so I don't make it as much as I would like, but when I can they always knock it out of the park. Every bite filled with flavor. Every bite having a little cookie dough. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any possible question. They are quick too. I don't think I have ever waited more than 2 min to get my order. Quality is as good as the first time I came here years ago. the ice cream is good and the food is too but the service is ok. i ordered ice cream with my friends and they messed all of our orders up. i wanted a chocolate ice cream MEDIUM in a CONE and they gave me a small in a cup. my friends ordered a small blaster with brownie and oreo and they put cookie dough in it and the other one was only cookie dough and brownie and she got cookie dough brownie and oreo in hers. someone else got a large cotton candy with no whip cream and he got a small with whip cream. and we got a caramel sundae with peanuts and whip cream and he didn't get any peanuts. this place used to be good but now they're messing up orders. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I ask them to make a Oreo blaster peanut free and they said they can not wipe down the machine do to the new policy. The lazy staff wont take the time to wipe down the machine. The management is not smart enough to accommodate the needs do to allergie. What a joke of a place. So so so good. I go there year round (thank God the Mokena location is open all year), and often eat a dipped cone for dinner when I'm in town visiting my family. Drive through is fast and efficient even in the summer. A lot of people seemed annoyed by the prices, but they seem fine to me. Maybe I've been living in Los Angeles too long. Covid precautions taken about 90% of the time. A couple times the same employee handling my money also handed me my change and my cone. Kind of gross whether we're living through Covid or not. I just don't eat the cone and tell them to keep the change when that happens. read more

The soft serve is pretty much like everyone elses but there are two nice specialty treats. First is the turtle sundae - topped with lots of fresh nuts ... second is the rainbow cone/cup. Rainbow ice cream on the southside of Chicago was pioneered down on 92nd and Western on the edge of the city. It is now sold through Creamery stores also ... try it and you'll see the attraction. I've only been here a few times, but I've enjoyed it every time. It's only a little more expensive than DQ since the treats I order here are about $3.50 versus $3 at DQ. I've only tried two things here: the mint boston shake, and the Original Rainbow Cone. The mint shake is delicious, and I love this place because they serve it all the time - not like McDonald's one month crap. But what I really love here is the Original Rainbow Cone! It's four different ice creams and one sherbert layered on top of a cone. I was intrigued by the cone, but thought that the flavors might not be that great together (chocolate, strawberry with stawberry pieces, "Palmer House" - venetian vanilla with walnuts and cherries, pistachio with real pistachios, and orange sherbert). It tasted great and the flavors really worked together! The Creamery was someplace that I went occasionally, but now I want to go back even more for that cone! read more

Just have to say their new edible cookie dough is out of this world! I'm a huge fan of cookie dough and many establishments try to get in on the craze with their version of it, but most fail, various cookie dough concoctions taste cheap and mass manufactured. I am only giving one star because they do not have a ZERO Star option Having loved Rainbow cones for decades, I was served a $4+ small rainbow cone last Saturday 2/27/16....it came to me as a pile of mush and dripping before it came out the drive-thru window ! In addition, there was a small amount of the ice cream on it as well. Quantity/quality-pricing did not match at all! Fix your freezers and then teach your staff how to make the cone the way it is intended to be made. I may gladly make the trip to Chicago to get a "REAL" "Rainbow Cone" made properly. I just don't get it. As the previous reviewer stated, it's PACKED. So much that I'm certain I will mow down about seven kids while manuevering through the parking lot. Full sized SUV's plus children darting in and out plus a hilly curvy parking lot equals mowing down seven children. Children and bikes and strollers galore. Some better tended to than others. Once you plod through the drive thru line thats wrapped around the building you will recieve your SOFT SERVE ice cream. There is nothing unique or particularly tasty about this place. They feature their version of The Blizzard and other such nonsense but add a premium of about a dollar to a dollar fifty more per item then DQ.
