Great local summertime ice cream shop. Lot of delicious options. Kids running the place did good. Will return when in area when summer and ice cream bug comes again. read more

I used to take my grandkids there quite often. We don't go anymore because the prices are ridiculous and the portions are a lot smaller.

Really nice teenagers working the window, very polite and professional. Milkshake varieties are endless and always excellent. read more

Creamery - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

We were in the mood for ice cream & my colleague loved that they said they had chocolate covered bananas, so we took a drive to indulge.... Pulled up to an entire little league team AND their families staggering up to order as we stood in line. Team Mom, or the lady who was paying, kept calling more and more kids & their families over as they pulled up......it bordered on beyond annoying. We finally got to the front of the line & ordered an ice cream bar & a frozen banana...... had to wait until all the kids were served & we were given our two items sealed in plastic straight from the freezer. Given they didn't have to "make" or scoop anything, not clear why cashier just couldn't pull our items out of the freezer & give them to us.....instead we waited 30 minutes for this entire team to be served! I was disappointed that the ice cream bar wasn't hand dipped after I ordered. I could have just pulled into the grocery store to pick up a frozen ice cream bar! Some of the other items looked interesting, like the rainbow cone, but way too big for what I was looking for. Not sure I would find my way back here again...... read more

Creamery - a menu for a creamery - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

I would really like to give the creamery in Frankfort 5 stars because like the other Creamerys in Mokena and New Lenox their ice cream and services are terrific! We visit all of them frequently. However, after my experience yesterday afternoon around 2:00 pm, the truth be told. During this time the Frankfort Creamery had only one young man servicing the entire facility. He was great and very polite. But obviouly he was working with a large croud of customers. He had just finished serving 8 people, and I was in line with another 9. Obvious overload. I actually felt sorry for the guy. And of course the people can't understand why there is only one person working. I didn't either. Minimum wage is $15 an hour and the cost of a basic Sunae $4.89, 24 basic sundaes would cover another person's salary for an 8 hour shift and keep the grownig customers happy. There is a cowbell at the purchase window to ring for service. How annoying was that knowing that the poor guy did't have any help! Anyway, you get the point and hopefully the owners will too. If you plan on going to the Creamery (and you should) my suggestion is to visit the Mokena or New Lenox one. The poor worker (if he hasn't quit yet) needs some rest, and definately needs a raise!!! read more

i always get a dipped cone or a shake and they always come out great. good amount of seating and you can park across the street if there isn't parking close up. such a great summer spot! read more

Creamery - What a bargain - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

We had driven past Creamery before and seen plenty of them around. They're always packed with people and we'd been making plans to give Creamery a try. Perhaps the time of day we went or the anticipation ruined the experience, but to me, at least this location, is nothing special, and nowhere near on par with Oberweis. We made a quick stop here while in the area. It was a bit chilly at the time so there weren't that many people in line to enjoy ice cream. Usually there's literal lines of people waiting to place their order. Although it's nice not having to wait, it's a less social experience, and I think the social aspect is a big part of what the Creamery is aiming for. Just like most other locations we've seen, you can't enter inside the building. There is however plenty of space in front, to sit down and enjoy some ice cream, even if there's no actually seating right now. The actual menu could use a rework. It's not very straightforward in my opinion. There's also little to no detail given on the menu items. I ordered this apple caramel sundae and was expecting real slices of apples, since they have apple bowls that include real apples. Instead I got vanilla ice cream with that nasty green apple flavoring. If that's your thing then great, but it's just not for me. My wife had a snicker sundae and she also found the chunks of snickers to be too hard because they were frozen, and overall the sundae was way too sweet. I'm sure there's other things on the menu we'd enjoy, but it shouldn't be a guessing game. If something sounds like you'd enjoy it and then you get it and it's something totally different, then that's a menu issue. Perhaps we also went in with the wrong expectations, since I was originally thinking Creamery directly competes with ice cream shops like Oberweis. I was expecting ice cream flavors unique to the Creamery. I don't think they had a single unique flavor, it was mostly just vanilla or chocolate and just the toppings added flavor. The pricing is also a little bit disappointing. I feel like they are a little bit more expensive than Oberweis, but don't offer anything truly unique. I used to have the same critique of Culver's custard and concrete mixers, but even Culver's has a flavor of the day and comparatively you get more for your money. Overall, Creamery isn't bad, and in fact, if this is your closest option for some good ice cream, you could do much worse. It just wasn't what I had envisioned and the whole experience ended up being mediocre to me. read more

This location is not good. You order something and you are lucky to get some ice cream and barely get toppings and candy mix. Maybe one scoop. Plus prices are high. They need to be more generous with toppings. read more

Waited in line with three grandkids that are dairy free only to find out that dole whip machine has been broken for days and they ran out of oat milk ice cream. No sign on window which would've helped. So disappointed. read more

The Creamery opening is the first sign of spring - it's like spotting a robin only a lot better tasting. If you live in Frankfort, you have to come here, I think it's a rule. It's crowded sometimes with all of Main Street America in line - baseball teams, Grandparents with all their grandchildren, Jr. High kids flirting and us, just wanting some ice cream. If it wasn't THE ice cream summer place in Frankfort, would I love it so much. Probs not, would you love your Mom's specialty if she hadn't cooked it? Great, now I want a small twist dipped in chocolate. Gotta go... read more

Decent ice cream, sundaes, Italian Ice, and shakes. I'm not sure about the food served. The staff is friendly and quick. Coming on a holiday like the 4th of July, however, means a couple of long lines. read more

Creamery - Brownie sundae. They put the nuts on top of the whipped cream. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

This place is good for icecream as long as you don't have to wait for a team of kids after a game. Don't bother with the nachos- not enough cheese (and the cheese is awful) and it all goes to mush in about 2 minutes. read more

I nearly always get the Root Beer Freeze but sometimes I mix it up with a Root Beer Float, whoa! Variety! I have been known to get a small twist with crunch when I am feeling particularly frisky. I like their product, I just hate their parking situation. Obviously everyone copies us and comes here in the summer and the lot is tiny. The problem is that it is on the intersection of two main streets so you have to park in the Village hall lot and hoof it over. I want ice cream with less effort. The other night we came here when it was drizzling and we were able to score a spot in the lot. We'll be back, just waiting for the next rain storm. read more

I went 2 summers without the creamery. I didn't honestly think I would miss it. I was so wrong! Now I find myself making deals in my head. Bike down there and you can have a small cone. Deals like that. The truth is I want one of everything every single day. I love that they serve both soft serve and rainbow cone. It makes it difficult when it's time for my decision. Dipped cone, sprinkle twist cone and rainbow are always possibilities. The slushes are sweet and delicious too. The parking lot is crazy but the line moves fast. It's the perfect spot on a summer night. read more

This place is one of those cute ice cream parlors in Frankfort. It's actually a branch of a small chain stores around this area. I have always gotten the soft serve ice cream cones here. It's good not great. I was expecting homemade ice cream. The biggest downside was I asked for chocolate sprinkles and they didn't have any. It's definitely something you want to try at least once. It's a good place to take a break in the summer time. To my surprise they have coffee and donuts for breakfast and random things like hot dogs for lunch. read more

Creamery - Vanilla ice cream cone! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

You get a lot for the amount you pay for the soft serve ice cream. I like their butterscotch dipped cone. I did see a family order the rainbow ice cream in a cone and will be trying that the next time we come here. Awesome place for a summer soft serve! read more

So I guess the problem is just that they can't make shakes. I would avoid them at all costs. The regular ice cream like they use in their sundaes is good and creamy. I don't understand the difference and would think the same ice cream is used for both the shakes and the sundaes but something is different when it comes to the shakes which are gritty and terrible. I got the Turtle sundae and it was great. read more

Close to the house and Plank Trail. This is a nice spot to stop in and have a relaxing sweet treat! They tend to do quite a business so the parking lot and area can get quite congested. We have tried the sundaes and the common soft serve twist cone. Nothing special there but we enjoy the basics. We have seen many people enjoying some other items but usually we do not go there for a full meal (hot dogs, burgers, etc.). Stop in for a nice treat and enjoy the local pond with a water geyser. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the proximity to the main road. Good for business but both a hazard for small children and pets. read more

This is the most delicious chain ice cream parlor around! Accommodation and products are outstanding!!!!

I had ice cream delivered and the vanilla was put in milk shake paper cups and not a container like the rainbow ice cream. This is not good It will not keep well in the freezer. Waste of my money read more

So, can I just say how much I love Creamery?!?!? The service is great, yes, even all the high school teens in the summer. The ice cream treats always hit the spot. I like the location because we can go across the street to the parking and enjoy our ice cream. My favorite menu item is the caramel sundae with extra pecans. I wish this location was open year round but since they aren't, we visit the one in Mokena and appreciate the consistency of service and taste. Take yourself. Treat the little ones. Just go! Never been? Start with the rainbow cone. read more

Saw this place by chance on my way home from Champaign, taking the "back roads". This is just the type of place I love. Local, unique and good! Saw plenty of people there, and just had to see for myself. They have sundae specials on Sundays, and since it was Sunday, decided to ask what it was. It was actually a Boston shake made using their mint shake, with vanilla ice cream up the side and topped with whipped cream. I think the size was about 12oz, and was only $1.59! Sucha deal. Next time I'm out that way I'll try to visit again - yum! Oh, BTW, they had a sign stating they are no longer serving Rainbow ice cream due to a mutual agreement with Rainbow :-( read more

Very disappointed! In all the years I have been going for rainbow cones this was the worst, I grew up in Evergreen Park Il. I know what there supposed to look like we took a ride with out of town company to share what we grew up with our rainbow ice cream barely came to the top of the cone! $25.00 for 4 cones, drove for 1 hour from Crown Point In. For nothing Come on, give us our money's worth! Unhappy customer! read more

This is my family's go to spot for ice cream in the summer. While the lines can get pretty long, the staff is quick and efficient. I love the blizzard equivalent of the "blaster" (ice cream with a choice of a mix in) For my fellow cookie dough lovers... theirs is some of my favorite! They have tons of flavors and sundaes. Ice cream is great except after a while you start to realize that everything tastes very similar.

Back at the creamery. Service better and staff more friendly. Glad to see the improvement!

If for some reason you are in Frankfort, IL I would recommend this little soft serve ice cream place. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Their soft server was delicious! I had the ET sundae, which is Reese Pieces, fudge sauce, peanut butter sauce over vanilla ice cream. I added Reese Peanut Butter Cups to it, and it was AMAZING!!! Sugar overload!! My vegan partner had a lemon lime slush which was also delicious! The Creamery has a variety of sundaes, cones, and ice cream sandwiches, there is something for everyone!! read more

Our friends took us for a treat after lunch, and it was delicious! I had a banana split, and asked for no pineapple but got extra strawberries! My husband got the rainbow cone..a must if you are going! Great food and service! Lots of kids there so you know its good. We'll be back! read more

It's a nice ice cream stop, with a variety of different flavors. Staple to the community!

We stopped quickly when we were in the area. Even though it was snowing, so many ppl came while we were there! It's a walk-up order type of place with only outdoor seating or to-go options. So, I know it must be a local favorite :) I got a butterscotch sundae and hubby got a pb malt. They were both ok/good, but not great. I think there's prob more community and nostalgia draw than taste draw to this place. If I lived around it, I'd prob become a regular, though :) read more

Best neighborhood ice-cream shop, hands down! My family loves this place so much! Prices are fair, tables are clean, and the ice-cream is goooooooood.
