You may have noticed gelato places popping up in South Jersey the last 10 years. But the truth is:…read moreTHERE REALLY IS ONLY ONE gelato shop worth going to... and this is it. I walked in soon after they opened in 2023 not knowing what to expect. But what I found is a family-run business with an amazing array of delicious gelato flavors, a mix of traditional staples, combined with other seasonal and unique flavors. I visit their website on Tuesday and see what the selections are for the week. Trust me: there are new flavors all the time, using a variation of ingredients such as dark chocolate, cannoli, olive oil, figs, all different fruits, etc. There is so much variety in their display... It is impossible to choose what to pick! So my family ends up usually getting two different flavors in a large cup, or more in a jumbo cup order. The product is so rich, creamy and tantalizing, we buy enough for the entire week. The gelato can be kept in your freezer so you can buy a variety with more cups at one time, just bring a cooler with you. They also began hosting small events and parties this year. You will love the scenery and music that is played! It truly is our "GO TO DESSERT" while watching movies or ballgames. They expanded into cappuccino and espresso soon after they opened which I also highly recommend! You will love the service, as the husband and wife team are so much fun and knowledgeable when it comes to their menu. I can't recommend this place enough to my friends and family. It is a treat ALL year round!

A decent first showing. I got wind of this place from that Instagram goofball that runs out of…read morebreath talking, but the cheesesteak looked great, and I can't resist a well done cheesie. SO, decided to give them a try, as they aren't too far from me. (about 15 minutes.) Ordering was easy enough, but this process is what actually cost them the 5 star. I'll circle back to this.... The building is nice and spacious, with a very modern look and feel. Something that is awesome, if used as it should be, is basically a wall of hot boxes; lockers where they put your food that you can retrieve with a QR code. A GREAT idea, with a fatal flaw. Circling back now, that hot wall locker was actually my meals undoing. I placed a future pick up order a little bit before 5 pm. The pick up time was for 5:30. At 5:06, I get a message with a QR code, telling me that my food is ready to be picked up from the locker. Now, it's great that they wanted to keep my food warm for me, but they made my order almost THIRTY MINUTES EARLY, and put it in these sweat boxes. By the time I got to my food, my fries were INEDIBLE. The cheesesteak wrapper had condensation all over it. My meal was a sweaty mess. There is no reason to prepare food that early in advance, but with the lockers available, I'm sure it's something they do fairly often. Also, the sandwich is a slightly fancier version, with fried mushrooms and garlic aoili, but the mushrooms were soggy and pale and I couldn't taste a DROP of garlic aoili. Still, a decent sandwich so I'm not mad, but Waffa isn't good enough for me to drive past better places. This is supposed to be a DESSERT place, so maybe that's their wheelhouse, but I have a ton of those options near me as well. If you do go, they are weirdly situated next to a traffic circle, so you gotta pay attention to where you're going.

I was warmly met and greeted, absolutely did not feel rushed, and left with a collection of different flavored marshmallows to try out. Mostly because I like marshmallows but I didn't think I was a big enough fan to warrant a trip to a place dedicated to them. I am here to tell you, I was wrong. Upon stepping foot into the little marshmallow cottage, I was greeted warmly and that is usually enough for me to warrant purchasing at least one thing to support a small business, but when I say I walked out with over $50 worth of marshmallowy goodness and have zero regrets, I am not kidding. We started out perusing the wall of jams, spreads, coffees, and non marshmallow items. We snatched up the carrot cake spread because my husband is obsessed with carrot cake and we felt this would make some amazing stuffed french toast in the fall. We also grabbed a bag of the sunset blend coffee beans from Hallowed Grounds Coffee Co. I then saw their signature marshmallow, which has caramel and is enrobed in chocolate with sea salt. These reminded me of a candy I love to get from a well known confectioner on the West Coast, so I had to grab one. Then I found out they make their own caramels, so I got a bag of them. I also chose their special marshmallow of the week with caramel and stroopwaffle pieces, the coffee dreams marshmallow, the mini smores, and the kandy kake marshmallows. Finally, we grabbed a bag of their puppy marshmallows for our dogs. We tried the Kandy Kake marshmallow and OOOOO WEEE was it amazing! I never would have imagined it would be this good. In fact, I am scared to try the rest because I just KNOW I am going to be in trouble. If you have avoided this place thus far because you think you don't like marshmallows enough, that may be a good thing for you because I guarantee you like marshmallows after you try these.

And the server was great i wanted to try a certain one based on the description of flavors in the menu but when i asked her about it she did say it basically has a candy taste which i did not want so in glad she informed me. The food isnt good. Its not bad either. I think this is a good tea and afternoon tea spot. I wasnt crazy hungry for all the sweets that are part of the afternoon tea menu so i ordered a la carte and was disappointed. The chicken sandwich tasted like it was a cooked frozen patty, boring flavors. The crepe cake i had high expectations for but it tasted like it was from a day old grocery counter.

Communication with the events coordinator Austin was good. He presented all of the package options and then sent a video to me depicting the package I chose. In the video, each savory food item was placed on a separate platter, set atop a gold stand with a sign in front, so you knew what everything was. All the desserts were on tea towers. It was simple and elegant. This is a non traditional tea house so it's not tea, cucumber sandwiches, scones, and clotted cream. There are appetizers like fries, buffalo wings, fried cod and shrimp lollipops, spring rolls, different filled wontons, lobster avo sandwiches, etc. There is a vast array of desserts like custards, different flavor cheesecakes & crepe cakes, chocolate lava cake, strawberry shortcake etc. However, the platters were just placed on the table (like a casual house party) and different items were on the same platter like chicken with shrimp with one set of tongs, and all without any signage. So it was a cross contamination concern and it looked tacky. I heard people asking what was what and quickly grabbed a server and pulled her to the side to inquire where the stands were, and why are certain items together on 1 platter. She didn't address the stands, but clarified what each food item was, brought out additional tongs, and then started to utilize the tea towers for the rest of the desserts. Everyone loved the food and the different teas, so I didn't let the food setup snafu ruin the party. Afterward, I received a lot of compliments and some were saying they would like to host their own tea party there. Austin was not available once the food was brought out. I spoke with him the next day to thank him for a mostly seamless event, the usage of the beautiful space, and the concern with the food setup. He apologized and advised the stands are no longer used because a platter slipped off a stand and fell on someone's foot. He said he would speak with the kitchen manager about placing land and sea food items together and the lack of signage. I will return, and I would recommend them for tea service. If you rent the space I would just suggest clarification on the food setup beforehand.
