Everything went OK until they dropped the ball on something and I had to complain to get the problem solved, but I tried to be professional about it. Sanjay's reaction was so scripted and over the top I would have laughed if it didn't tick me off so much. He said he felt threatened by me, which is a classic HR tactic to shut down dissent. Also that they already put a lot of time into me for free. What? I'm a potential new customer who needs to know what you have to offer before I decide to do business with you. Your job is to impress me in a process otherwise known as sales. I owe you nothing. They probably do a good job otherwise but you would have to like their style. I wouldn't expect great treatment of my employees, though, if they can't manage it when the owner who pays the bills expresses some small amount of dissatisfaction. It used to be that very small businesses could only find affordable insurance rates by going through one of these PEOs, but that is no longer true. Laws have changed and there are less expensive options now. So I'm back to doing everything myself, but with the help of standalone apps for payroll and HR, and that keeps it all manageable.

Which I thought was unusual because with other temp agencies, this was never the case. In several attempts with getting me back to work in 2020, with no such luck as the hiring companies also had to pull back positions. And even during all of this, when I did get an "internship" through another entity to acquire technical experience because of the pandemic impact, I needed Aerotek/Aston Carter to provide a letter stating that the position I had applied for fell through. I received a call the same evening I requested such letter at 8 pm. This blew me away as I expected this process would take days or weeks for me to get a response but this wasn't the case. In January 2021 after my internship was completed, I took a week off to before restarting the job hunt. But instead, I got a call from Aston Carter asking if I was available. The job? Patient Service Representative at the mass-Covid Vaccination site at Pier 2! And honestly folks, when the news first came out about this event a few days prior, I knew I wanted to be part of this historic occasion, so my answer was a resounding YES! I wanna help. For the 6-months that I worked at Pier 2, the Aston Carter Account Manager was there, every morning before we started at 7 am. He was always available for us as well as the hosting company. Three-months into the gig, the hosting company allowed us to apply for positions with them. It took me a while to decide as I really enjoyed working with the people at the Pier. As things started to slow down at the Pier, I made the decision to start apply for a position with the hosting company which wasn't hard to do as managers and supervisors from the hosting company were actively recruiting new hires at the Pier. When it came to professional recommendations, our Aston Carter Account Manager was there for each and everyone of us, quickly responding to the hosting company's surveys. And although I am happily employed full-time with the hosting company, this Account Manager allows us to keep in contact with him and responding to messages within an hour. As far as benefits, Aston Carter provided the best and I got my health, vision and dental benefits as soon as I started. No waiting period like other contract agencies. I am thankful to all the team members I have been in contact with at Aston Carter, for all the professional help and advise they have given. They asked deep and good questions, and explained things to us. My husband has been going here for years, but this was my first time. I have gone to H&R Block, as well as other tax accountants. CAUTION: HiAccounting - Cannot Recommend…read more I am not a current client of HiAccounting but I requested help from them with tax preparation and a more urgent tax planning project. I called numerous times before leaving two (2) voicemails and NOT ONCE did anyone pick up the phone when I called at different times on different days. NEVER. Ridiculous and awful. Two (2) voicemails left on August 19, 2026 and August 25, 2026. I slowly, clearly, and competently left my email address and phone number both times. HiAccounting NEVER responded. Please note: I check my email spam folder 2-3 times per day and the spam setting is set up to ONLY delete messages that are 30 days old. My voicemail setting is set up to show all calls AND attempted calls even if no voicemail is left. The HiAccounting phone system was ALWAYS malfunctioning EVERY single time I called, directing callers to push extension numbers that led nowhere. Today's advanced technology currently exists that can place visible pop-up messages on websites, and/or send automated responses to inform people of companies' intentions or ability to respond, if they are accepting new clients or not, and if delayed responses should be expected, etc. NONE of this on the HiAccounting website. I also did not receive any automated responses to my messages. Disturbing and puzzling. The Key Question is this: Is HiAccounting tax software and accounting programs, guidance and other technology also incompetent, useless and unreliable? Of course, the HiAccounting website includes all the usual boastful, sentimental and pretty language stating how great they are and how devoted they are to customer oriented service. Big talk. Actions are what matters. So what do we have here? What should we make of my experience? What impressions and conclusions should be drawn? HiAccounting: Lack of professionalism Lack of basic, common reasonable courtesy Lack of a conscientiousness, caring & concerned attitude Lack of organizational skills & management Lack of time management skills Lack of adequate staff Lack of cutting edge technology Are these fair and reasonable impressions and conclusions? One, some or all of the above? Ok, we agree. Tax preparation, tax concerns, IRS problems and issues, and accounting all require tax firms to possess timeliness, effective technology, proper communication and responsiveness AND NOT LACKING in any of the skills and qualities that I mentioned directly above. Am I right? HiAccounting can just as easily fail you as they failed me, client or not. Given my unacceptable experience, what do you think the odds are that HiAccounting will also fail you? Will they ever call back after they take your money? Will you be able to connect to anyone's extension? Is the gamble worth your hard earned money and potential IRS problems and fines? If and when HiAccounting responds to this review: Please ask yourself if the HiAccounting response adequately justifies their failure to respond to me.
