It's club volleyball and their know-how of the sport is pretty amazing and they break it down to you. The owner, Dennis cares and is so helpful along with coach Kym. The league takes player safety seriously and since this is flag football they are very strict regarding contact. That said, they're still kids playing hard and injuries can occur though I've never seen anything serious. The kids have fun and still compete hard. The league is competitive and divides the kids according to grade level (1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and so on). I also really appreciate that only division champs EARN trophies. The little kids all get trophies but once you hit the sophomore division, you have to win to earn a trophy. I really appreciate that as a parent and coach. It teaches the kids some real world lessons that victory must be fought for and won. Not everyone can win! We've already signed up for fall 2019 and we can't wait to get back on the field. My daughter was interested in competing in sparring on the national level so we switched from our previous school since they focused on team competitions. We have been very happy with Sparks since switching. It is very community focused and feels like a family not just a studio. Everyone is very welcoming and you can truly tell that Master Jef and Miss Amy and all the coaches really care about the athletes. Its a good balance of hard work, discipline, and fun. I cannot get a hold of the director of the program directly and they keep leaving messages and emails for them. The most disappointing part of it is the lack of communication. I would have some relief if there was some resolution but I will be going into the weekend with the program starting Sunday and no idea if they will be flexible with granting a credit or refund. I'm sure the program is great if everything goes as planned but the lack of communication and care for their customers is upsetting when the unexpected occurs.
