I spent $400 on a bat that was sitting right in their "USA Bat" section. I trusted the sign. I trusted them. The very next day I realized it wasn't a USA bat at all--it was a USSSA bat. Completely the wrong one. My son can't even use it for the leagues he plays in. Brand new, still in perfect condition, just... wrong. I went back that same day. The same guy who sold it to me was working. I didn't even get the chance to show him the bat or explain. He just looked at me and said, "We don't accept returns." Then he turned and walked to the back of the store like I wasn't even standing there. Like the last few years of us coming in didn't matter. Like I was just some random person he had never seen before. When he finally came back out, I tried again. I told him it had been marked as a USA bat, that it was brand new, that my son literally can't use it. He just stared at me. No apology. No offer to help. No nothing. Just silence. Then he walked away again. I have pictures of the bat sitting in the USA section and of the brand-new bat itself. They put the wrong bat in the wrong section and then acted like it was my problem when I tried to fix it. I'm not asking for special treatment. I just wanted them to care a little after everything. Instead I left feeling completely dismissed and stupid for trusting them. It really hurts when a place you've supported for years treats you like you don't matter the second there's a problem. Horrible customer service. Just... don't.

Hey NumbNuts, this was his first experience with the sport and that specific gear requirements were not mentioned during our introductory call, this greeting set an unprofessional tone for the meeting. More importantly, I was deeply concerned by your physical conduct and the way you handled my son during the drills. His visible discomfort and nervousness made it clear that your coaching style is not a fit for a student who requires patience and encouragement. Jose, You need to tone it down and be easy with the kids, some parents are not going to be easy, wouldn't want to get your a** popped! Furthermore, I would suggest reconsidering how you present your professional background. While you highlight your history as a recruiter for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and Colorado Rockies, (Whack A** Teams) the quality of the experience did not translate into an effective or welcoming environment for a new player. Due to these concerns regarding your conduct and the lack of a suitable environment for beginners, I wouldn't recommend this clown!

I live here. I've been attending games here for almost 20 years. Nothing has changed! It's dusty…read morefrom the makeshift dirty unpaved parking lot. It's a sad day when you have to make plans to wash your car around the games. I've always had to think....Hmmmm, will I have to park at Pony Fields, after I wash my car???? If you do, don't bother cleaning it because it will come out dirty. There's probably about 100 spaces in the fenced in paved area with ONLY 3-4 handicap spots. Get here early if you don't want to drive your fancy car onto the dirt and pot-holed rocky filled, dirt lot. You can also take the chance of parking on the street but trying to unload Littles and baseball gear and crossing the busy street, WILL add to your stress and challenge. Pony fields sometimes charge a fee to enter. I don't know why. It's not a park worth coming into. What can I say? It's dirty, dusty and no shelter from wind or dust storms that seem to pick up every single night we are here. Trees are few and far between so bring your EZ Ups and be prepared to batten them down. It's windy here and will catch you off guard. I think the owners of this field need to invest some serious money and rebuild this park. The outhouses scattered about in the field are always so STINKY! When the wind picks up, trust me, you will need nose protection. It is unbearable. It probably isn't healthy to breathe this mess. Poor kids running around this field come home and need to be dunked in a tub. It's that dirty. True. It's a baseball field, but for those of us NOT playing baseball, spectators.... we shouldn't have to feel we went through a dust storm, at every visit. Do not park along the backside of the fields or you will get hit. So that takes away about 10-15 paved spots. On the plus side, the snack bar is reasonable. There are a few wooden picnic tables. Also, hilly patches of grass to sit on. Don't plan to lay a blanket down anywhere for the kids. It's pretty dirty. Dogs and pets are not allowed! Starbucks, McDonalds, Chic-Filet, Jack in the Box, Walmart, Target, and many others, are within 3-5 miles. In the 23 years I've lived in Murrieta, I will say this is the worst baseball park I have taken the kids to. It really needs to be improved. No stars would be my best rating. I am forced to give it 1. Really not deserving of even 1.

The league is open to Murrieta and non-Murrieta residents. My son played Pony for past 6 years in the Recreational Division and the Unlimited/ Competitive Division. Now, he is in high school and very competitive and well rounded. His baseball IQ difficulty increased with his experience and play at Murrieta Valley Pony Baseball.

I first stopped in here to see what sports programs they have for my 4 year old. I came in after…read moreschool and it was pretty wild. Kids were all over the place and there was once "adult". She was busy on the phone and I had to wait for a few minutes just to get some info for sports. While waiting I was surprised by the kid's behavior. They were running around, cussing, and some were outside in the front unattended to. I don't know if this the normal for this place but I know that I would never in a million years sign my kids up for their after school program. I am signing my kids up for some sports programs but I will be there with them. Hopefully they are more organized then when I stopped in. I will definitely update my review after we do a program. BTW, they have a lot of really cool (hopefully) programs for kids of all ages. If baseball goes well I will definitely sign all the kids up for something.
