She did a full head of highlights with toner and I left with my hair looking really healthy and shiny with a beautiful shade that really complimented my very pale skin tone. I have been very displeased with my recent experiences with getting my hair cut so I figured why not give it a try. I'm very picky and i usually don't like to experiment with random hairstylist. When i walked into the salon i instantly loved the atmosphere. The receptionist was very welcoming. I explained that I had just found the salon on Google, and that I wanted to know if they could recommend a stylist that would be comfortable with cutting my type of hair texture. The receptionist immediately said she had the perfect person for the job. I thought to myself can I really trust this or is she just trying to pass me on to someone because they're available... let me tell you, that wasn't the case at all. The Hairstylist by the name of Leyla comes over and introduces herself. She was very welcoming and gave me a consultation on the spot. I found that she was very knowledgeable and intentional so I decided to move forward with getting my hair cut. Mind you she was correcting a haircut that went wrong by a previous Stylist. On top of that, I wasn't even asked about the service I selected (Color Package 4, the highest package) to ensure everything was set up correctly. To make matters worse, while I was initially able to book a later time online, I was then asked to come earlier. This was fine with me, and I was told the technician would stay, and we wouldn't finish until 11 PM. By this point, my hair (or myself) hadn't even been seen yet. I understand that prices can change, but this situation made it hard to enjoy the experience, especially as a busy mom who rarely has time to pamper herself. Additionally, while the website recommends a consultation, the call felt more like reading the rules on the site rather than a personalized conversation, which I did take the time to read as it has taken me some time to try and find a new salon that is closer to my home. Better communication and a more thoughtful approach would have gone a long way. Overall, I hope the business can improve its customer service and communication so clients feel valued before they even arrive.
