I got some much needed laughs tonight. I've been looking forward to attending and lineup was amazing. Comedians were very talented, parking was plentiful and the drinks were strong! The unique thing about the Small and Mighty event is volunteers from the audience have a chance to take the stage and try their hand at stand up and they were all naturals! I love this, it keeps the audience engaged and eager to participate. Staff were very hospitable and the theater is an intimate setting, I'd guess seating for about 30 or so. What a great way to spend my Saturday evening. Can't wait for next weekend!

Had a Christmas party here and the service from start to finish was top notch! They serve local beers and wine. The sound is amazing. Impromptu class is super fun here!

Coronation Theater is the spot in Houston! If you love entertainment, artistry, and seeing some of the most hilarious talent out there, stop searching--you've found it. The performers? Incredible. The staff? On point. The vibes? Immaculate. Plus, they've got great drinks, snacks, and that St. Arnold's Ginger Beer that hits every time! Whether you're after non-stop laughs or unforgettable talent, this improv haven delivers. 1000/10 recommend--don't miss out!

    Killer business cards!

Went to my first show last night at Coronation Theater and it was a total riot! Everyone had such a great time and you best bet I'll be back for more. Give the place a visit ASAP!

A group of 4 of us visited last weekend for DL Hughley and purchased a "preferred section" table…read morethat was pricey but worth the experience as we sat right at the corner of the stage. Online you will see a ticket price and the fee, Google will tell you that if you go in person, you will not have to pay that fee but if you call, she will explain to you that the ticket price goes to the Comedian and the fee goes to the venue. We went to the 930 show that stated doors were at 9 PM. That's not really correct though because the exterior door opened around 9 PM but you're not able to go find seats l at that time and you're still in line. If you are in the beginning of the line at 9 PM, then you can wait inside the lobby, otherwise you have to wait outside which is kind of crazy. Luckily, we were in the beginning part that made it inside because one of our guests that arrived 10 minutes after the lobby opened is pregnant. She wouldn't have been able to stand in heels outside all that time and when she walked up to the line and told the older Caucasian man that her mom was in the lobby with the tickets he was adamant that she needed to go to the back of the line and wait. Very visibly pregnant she tried to re-explain that we purchased a preferred table and that we were already inside the lobby, and there was plenty of room for her and her husband to come stand with us -he still tried to stand in her way so she could not walk around the line saying " well if I let you then everyone will expect to be able to go ". This is why I had already spoken to the young gentleman that checked our tickets into the lobby and he said it would be fine for them to walk up when they arrived, so I told her to ignore the man and go ahead and come around, and she was able to walk right in. Right about 9:30 PM the doors into the theater area opened and it is first come first serve to the tables. Server took our order after a short while everything came out surprisingly quick. We had to send back the fried pickles as they were swimming in grease. I asked the server if he could just have the kitchen remake it as my prego daughter really wanted that however he said they would just come out the same way again. We tried to blot them with napkins, but as you can see in my photo that's just for me barely touching one of them and my fingers are covered in oil. Yuck! The southwest eggrolls were good just your standard run of the mill. Do not order an old-fashioned! They cut the rind instead of just using the peel, use a maraschino cherry instead luxardo ( which I can still settle for both ) BUT the basic 3 ingredient cocktail was wrong! Service was better in the beginning because we were seated before all those that had been in line- then it took a while. 18% grat included so they def need to step their game up The show itself was really good. It was with one opening Comedian and then the headliner so about 2ish hours. Very interactive the last 30 minutes and we were sitting right next to the stage! Definitely worth the extra money for preferred

The seating is comfortable with plenty of space so it never felt crowded or overwhelming. The food was surprisingly good for a comedy venue and the service stood out the most. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. The location is also a big plus since there are plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby, which makes it easy to turn your visit into a full evening out. Overall, this is a great spot to go with someone whether it is a date or just a night out with friends. I would definitely come back again.

We can't wait to go again, even to see the same show because I can tell it would be different every time. It's such a cute little tiny theatre, you need to get there early but then wait in line outside. There was full sound and lighting and the actors were all so talented and charismatic. It was entertaining with good comedic acting, improv and lots of audience interaction. You can run a tab and order drinks from your phone. It does take a bit of time to get served, but the drinks are really good with proper glassware and the servers are like ninjas trying to get them to your seat without interfering with the performance, so just order early and order again before you're empty! We were actually greeted and seated by one of the actresses, Anastasía Zavitsanos, who looked like a young Kathryn Hahn and put on a seriously talented performance that still fit the vibe.

The staff was friendly, and they give you a complimentary shot. You also have the ability to order drinks directly from your phone using a QR code on your seat. They have a menu of drinks available, or you can create your own. The drinks were really good and reasonably priced. The seating was comfortable, and our seats got upgraded giving us the opportunity to sit in the front on the side of the King and Queen of the night. The show itself was AMAZING! I loved how the actors went back and forth between the Shakespeare script and improv. The singing moments were incredible, and the actors were so creative, talented, and entertaining. You can really tell they know how to keep the audience engaged and laughing. This was definitely worth the time and money, and I would absolutely recommend checking it out.

This review is for their performance in Houston…read more If you've been to other Cirque Du Soleil in the race park before then you know that there's no way around paying for parking. It will cost you $12 to park. The good thing about the parking is it was super organized so even though there were long lines of cars trying to park, the lines were moving; and once I had paid, the attendees directed me where to go and it took me less than a minute to park. Before you can enter the Grand Chapiteau, you have to go through your typical security measure. There are no metal detectors but they will look inside your purse if you have one. I was here with my sister and she didn't have a purse so we didn't even get checked. She did have a jacket on her but they didn't check it. This means you could sneak in your own snacks/drinks should you be inclined to. Why would one be inclined to sneak in their own snacks/drinks? Well, a bottled water/soda will run you $5. Nachos will run you $10. A Cotton candy will run you $8. Hot dog will run you $7. You see where I'm going with this? If you're coming here with your family (kids, wife, girlfriend, whatever), then you be better be ready to be dropping some $$$$. As for the show, it's your typical CDS stage/seating. You have the round stage with the seats surrounding them. I was lucky enough to get good seats to the right side and three rows from the stage so I was able to see everything clearly. If you opt to sit toward the back, some times you can't even see the faces of the performers clearly. The show started at eight on the dot. Some of the performances are pretty typical CDS where it would amaze you what a human body can do with training (contortionist, balancing act, juggling). Some of the other acts were more creative (invisible circus, finger dancing, animal impression). One act in particular was a combination of both where you have this dude playing yo-yo in the middle of the stage, but holy cow, he could control them yo-yos like they were a part of his body. I felt like he should have been competing in international yo-yo championship or something. All in all, I was happy with the show. This was also my sister's first Cirque Du Soleil and so everything was brand new to her and she was thoroughly impressed with the performances. CDS is always a fun event to go to and I definitely will go to whatever other Cirque Du Soleil shows that would make a stop in Houston.

Houston parking was $12; I parked the furthest away and still it wasn't far from the tent. I was concerned that the AC might not be working from a heads up review 4 days earlier...but, thankfully the AC was on and blowing good!! Toilets looked like porta pottys but they actually had lights and hooks to hang your purse---speaking of...I walked in the stall and there hung a yellow bag and a Kurios souvenir! I was like...HOW can one forget ALL that? Turned it in to an employee...hope the lady got her stuff back. The seats are small and very close together...I chose an end seat so I'd only have one person beside me. My seats were stage right 8 rows back...awesome! Show was exciting...as usual, I was amazed. Do yourself a favor and attend a Cirque de Soleil soon...it's well worth the $$$
