When he went to pick it up, it was not decorated to what he asked for (it was supposed to have additional icing detail on the sides and adornments on top). I cut into it and it looks good but the cake layers are uneven/thin, icing layers are thick in ratio to the cake and the sugar paper wasn't adhered well (wavy). The icing is overly sweet and the white cake was supposed to be wedding white but it's a buttermilk white. It's tangy, tastes off and the blue icing had so much color it has that dye aftertaste. The cake is pretty but it's not good. I don't know what my friend paid for it but I am guessing it was pricey because it was custom. I love supporting local but not if it's a poor product. I was having trouble finding an item, and I stopped by the meat/seafood counter and asked where it was. It had nothing to do with the meat or seafood counter. There was a young man there named Isaiah, who came out from behind the counter, took me across the store and showed me the different selections for that item. After I had selected what I wanted, I was going back to that counter to thank him, but as I was headed back, he saw another customer that was having an issue and stopped to help them. I waited again then asked if they had it, and she clearly told me, "We don't have Boo Batter, but you can just get Cake Batter. It's the same thing, but without the food dye." I was fine with that, so I waited EVEN MORE. It was about a 35 minute wait before I could order. The girl who had told me they had the Cake Batter ice cream went to the back, then came out a second later and said that they don't have it. How do you give me a substitute but not have that either? I can understand being busy, as the line was very long, but it took them about 15 minutes to help the 3 people in front of me. It doesn't take 15 minutes to put ice cream in a cup. After I had walked out, 4 people behind me did as well. This place is also a breeding ground for insects. They had about 60 waffle cones and bowls sitting out open on the counters with flies everywhere in the store that could be eating, laying eggs on, and doing god knows what on those cones. Most of the cones and bowls looked stale and burnt. They looked like they had been there for days, if not weeks. Don't waste your time or money here, because they clearly don't care about either.
