Love their pizza but try getting one!! It's impossible without planning a day in advance. We had taken a break from this restaurant because they were clearly having staffing issues due to covid and we understand. But this switch to this system where you cannot order a take out pizza without being placed in their schedule. You can call 3-5 hours ahead of time and if they don't have a slot in their schedule, you're not getting take out. I understand that it makes it easier and more organized for your kitchen but it does nothing for your local customers who just want to enjoy your pizza. I won't be trying you again and that's the feed back from others in my neighborhood and that's a shame I've tried enough times. read more

My elderly mother, my husband, and I went to The Copper Pot to decide whether or not we wanted to eat lunch there and whether or not we wanted to bring friends/family there for several other meals. My husband was quite entranced by the ambience of Clarkesville. The first difficulty we had was that both the parking and the entrance are not clearly marked. It is also very difficult for a disbabled person to navigate the steps from the parking lot in to the building. Second, most of the the tables had hard wooden chairs. Third, the booths had hard wooden benches. Fourth, the first words the "hostess"--who seems to have forgotten that she works in the service industry--said to us (before she even put the menus on the table) were that we had entered the incorrect door and should have made our way to the not- clearly-marked wait stand for her convenience. I initially ignored her rudeness and the way we were castigated by her, but the final straw was when she told us when could not sit at what appeared to be the only comfortable chairs in the restaurant. According to her, the tables with comfortable chairs are saved for larger parties. (It was approximately 3pm: probably not prime-time for large parties to have dinner.) We left and certainly will never return read more

This place was amazing from the service alone! My server Stephanie was the best. Great recommendations and great customer service! The hostess Bailey was a sweetheart as well. Seated us very quickly. The food was great we had the copper pot pizza which was great. Fries were awesome as well as the cheese cake and canoli. We had the buffalo wings which were good and crispy (a little salty for my liking but it's buffalo so I mean come on) . Buffalo dip on the other hand was amazing ing as well as the housemade chips that come with it. Chicken alfredo was well seasoned but kinda basic get something else for sure. The ambiance was great. Do not order the Cuban Sandwich. What I got today was two pieces of Hormel ham slices, a slice of cheese, and what amounted to a 2'' x 2" square of meat about 1/8" thick. I would doubt it was pork all coated with Frenchs mustard on toasted bread. I should have sent it back, it was that bad. It was not even a passing imitation of a cuban sandwich. Refused Seating It's difficult to review the current state of the restaurant after they refused to seat our party. 8 is not an unreasonable number, especially when we were happy to divide the party in two. Came here after driving from Tallulah Gorge and heading back to Helen. Cute downtown area. Decided to eat here since the patio looked inviting and Wednesday happened to be 1/2 off 10 wings. The wings were crispy and not greasy. Mild for buffalo sauce. Generous portion of ranch or blue cheese. Carrots were shredded long but easy to dip into the dressing. I also ordered the half sized Greek salad and everything was fresh. They don't skimp on the kalamata olives or cheese! Server was friendly and attentive and offered us drinks to go. I had the Gateway Grits and my husband had the Margarita pizza, both were delicious! We will definitely be back. It was a great late lunch after a long morning of workshops and museum visits all over Clarkesville and Sautee. The wait staff was very knowledgeable of the menu, which I appreciated! Let's start with ambiance. Neat gastro-pub interior but WAY too cold. Everyone was in their winter coats except the staff who must have quite a fire stoked back there. It was uncomfortably cold for a low 40degrees and rainy day where I was looking forward to being warm and cozy, eating comfort food. Otherwise, I loved the atmosphere, servers were very knowledgeable and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean with wonderful social distance spacing still in place. There is a very nice outdoor patio which I would have loved but as aforementioned, too cold and rainy the day we were there. We started with the spinach artichoke dip which came paired with homemade potato chips. Genius pairing! I highly recommend! Excellent pizza in unique combinations atop a wonderful crusty yet chewy fresh/homemade crust. I don't love pizza as a general rule but was in the mood. Two of us split one large pizza and ordered one half The Copper Pot (homemade marinara, caramelized onions, sausage, mushrooms, but no bacon for us) and the other half the Inferno (white wine cream sauce, sriracha, chicken sausage, jalapeños, roasted red pepper). Remember I said the servers were knowledgeable? We asked if he recommended the Copper Pot b/c sausage and mushroom pizza is usually my favorite. The server said it is a very popular pizza there but something about the caramelized onions he didn't care for how it added a sweetness to his pizza. He also mentioned the Inferno was one of his favorites--but he did caution it is a spicy pizza so only to order if you like a little kick. To me, he was spot on with the Copper Pot advice. Excellent pizza but the sweet onion didn't really fit palate wise for me either. Still really good as long as you know what you're getting in to. We did and very much enjoyed but the Inferno was hands down the winner. Not too spicy so as to become impossible to eat. While they have excellent marinara, I seem to enjoy a white or not sauce (garlic pizza for instance) more. Keep in mind I'm not your typical pizza eater when you read through my comments. Overall a fun and friendly restaurant I would recommend with very clean facilities and very good food. Definitely five stars to the spinach artichoke dip. Go for it!! The best pizza I have found in Georgia since moving here in 1992! Superior ingredients in the right measure on a delicious crust! No overload of salt and grease like most places. Didn't feel like cooking so we chose Copper Pot because they have a good selection. Thursday night is Open Mic night so there were a few gentlemen there with guitars. The special of the night was a large two topping pizza and a large caesar salad for $25.99. Our server, Kasey, was terrific. We never had to ask for refills. For starters we chose the Artichoke and Crab dip with little toasts ($12.00). It was delicious and full of crab. The little toasts were really crunchy. Next I chose the half Strawberry Salad ($8.00). I added chicken which was $5.00 more. For a dressing I chose the Strawberry Ranch. The salad was as big as an entree with lots of mandarin oranges, sliced strawberries, candied pecans, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and a ton of grilled chicken. It was delicious, the candied pecans had a little heat to them which was nice with the sweet in the salad. Mark chose the 6 inch Cordon Blue Sandwich with homemade chips ($10.00). It was so big he could only eat half. It had Two slices of swiss cheese, two slices of ham and a generous portion of fried chicken on an amazing roll. (Do they make them themselves?) We had plenty of beverage refills and were afraid we wouldn't fit back into the car! We were driving past and thought this place was cute so we stopped. It was late in the lunch hour but still decently busy. We sat outside (good people watching). Started with the pizza frite which was much airier than I expected. And so much garlic (I love garlic but this was a lot). The pizza came out and it was the greasiest thing I've ever seen - one slice soaked an entire napkin. The crust was good. We had it with a side of ranch which was more like a dill dressing (delicious but not a traditional ranch). The service was just okay. We were on Vacation and exploring the area. It was Sunday later on and the only restaurant open was this one. They had a 2 for 1 pizza special so with kids that and Greek salads were the call. I worked in pizzerias growing up and am originally from New Jersey. This pizza was as good or better then any I've had in my entire life. The salads were excellent as well. Portions were certainly a great deal for the money. We certainly will be back next year when we are in the area. I would pay to have this pizza overnight mailed if I thought the taste would hold up. I'll summarize the varying reviews right off the bat for you. Service is really, really oddly weird. Some of the employees are nice, but slow, and they have weird policies here about drinks and food. For the few times I've been here, the service gets a 3.5 and a 2.5 respectively. The food is pretty good. It's imaginative, the pizza is very good and has a good selection of chef designed pizzas. The rest of the food is pretty good, with the occasional miss, I would totally avoid a few of the low dollar apps such as the fried dough app, it's really nothing but puffed fried dough and lacks any flavor whatsoever. Pricing is above average for the area, but Clarksville itself is more 'up and coming' where the surrounding areas are very rural but the town itself is doing better to attract touristy folks. I personally found the price points fine, below average for what it is but again, above average for the area. Good selection of food though, drinks, and nice atmosphere and patio. I like the oversized chairs at the bar and it's pretty comfy décor otherwise. I'll lad on a 4 star, but they really do need work on the service. read more

We are locals but had not eaten at The Copper Pot in quite awhile. Stopped there w/ a large group after a family funeral recently. When our hostess realized we'd just attended a funeral- she offered to seat us in a private dinning room with a large family style table- which was just perfect. We were all starving but not necessarily in the mood for public dining so we really appreciated how quickly the hostess caught onto our circumstances & our mood The Service & all of the food was very good. We ordered 3 appetizer plates for the group-which were all great . Then sandwich plates & pizzas as our main dishes- which we were also very happy with I love their unique beer selections too- we tried the mocha & berry stouts - and both really complimented the burgers & pizzas! We stayed for hours and did not feel rushed at all And considering there were 9 of us (7 adults & 2 tweens) who all had appetizers/ full meals/desserts & drinks (including beer) - I thought $130.00 was MORE than reasonable for the quality & amount of food we had.
