One of my favorite areas of London is Notting Hill. But Portobello Road can get pretty hectic, not to mention touristy, at times. So if you want to escape the chaos and find a nice quiet place to have a seat, grab lunch, and maybe do a little day drinking, then Continental Pantry is a fine place to visit.
Located just off of the very tony Westbourne Grove on Ledbury Road, Continental Pastry is both a cafe and specialty food purveyor, selling sundry items like wine, jams, pickles, mustards, and dried pasta.
We sat outside and nibbled on a Charcuterie Board (£16) while sipping on Aperol Spritzes (£8). The table next to us ordered the Burrata with tomatoes (£11) and that looked great. The food isn't fancy -- mostly just salads and sandwiches -- but it was nonetheless a very pleasant experience! read more
