You know, we looked everywhere, conceptualized every design, and compared every price, and when it came down to it - the container store hands down was the best for our buck. We thought it would be super expensive - but in reality - we really only spent about $600 p/ closet. They have amazing pieces, excellent quality, and it's not too hard to put together. The salesperson in the design center was awesome - helpful, cheerful, and was totally cool that my kids were taking the sample shelves apart (i put them back afterwards) We placed our order within an hour - and got a text message while we were having lunch that our order was ready for pick-up!! My hubbie had the whole thing set up by that evening - and VIOLA! Closets!!! It looks like something out of a magazine - and the finishing touches with the wood and cute baskets and boxes are an organized persons heaven. One thing I do recommend is that you can go to Ikea for some of the odds and ends and probably pay less :) read more

The container store is filled with certain items that can only be found there. A refuge for the person who is extra super organized. Me I just needed to get some laundry sacks as I live in a condo and don't have my own washer/drier.... Which sucks BTW. I also looked at bin prices here vs say Walmart or Target and noticed the price to be higher. That is probably my biggest gripe with them. They prices seem to be a bit more than what I'd like to pay for a plastic bin. As far eccentricity of items they have everyone beat. You'll find bins, drawer, and all kind of ways to comparmentalize your life. (don't know if that's a word or not but you can figure what I mean.) Defintely some cool ways to organize here, just like when shopping at Target, be prepared to find something that you'll find useful and spend money on. read more

Lots of selection to organize with but the customer service sucks!!!!! Waited in line to purchase 1 item for over 10 minutes. Only 1 register opened while 2 employees stood around waiting to take something outside for a customer who had yet to pay. I left! read more

It is an amazing home store. You can find very new and productive ideas for your kitchen and your house in general

WOW - The staff are INCREDIBLY helpful. They are so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and accommodating. They waited on us hand and foot for like an hour. The checkout was speedy, efficient, and the cashier was really considerate and smart about how she packed everything. This place is clearly very well-run and has excellent recruiting of staff. The merchandise is obviously the brainchild of someone with severe OCD, and the prices are steep, but the customer service is definitely worth it. read more

i hadn't been to this store in forever, but i like it. maybe it's the virgo in me, but i love little boxes and organizational supplies. the have pretty cool, modern, not terribly expensive stuff. it's in the shopping center across from dadeland mall. parking isn't usually too bad. there's also a old navy and a few other stores as well. the stores very organized and the staff is usually pretty helpful. we had two people helping us the other day and thankfully, they had a few counters open, so there wasn't really a wait to pay. woohoo! read more

I love this place! It's where I go to relax after a bad day at work. Yes, it may seem a bit overpriced but the prices are pretty much the same as you would pay with shipping on amazon. The staff is friendly and helpful and always goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with your products. There is always some sort of sale to help with lowering costs. Completely worth the few extra dollars as opposed to fishing around Marshall's shelves for the same product and risk it being damaged. read more

Container Store is always awesome no matter the city. The service and selection is always consistent. Last month was special and I fell in love with Dadeland. It was a rainy day in Miami and after completing my purchase, the cashier asked if I needed help to my car due to the downpour. She pointed to the coatrack at the front of the store with ponchos and umbrellas. She used her two way radio and a young man appeared who walked me to my car in the rain. He stayed with the umbrella overhead until I was tucked in my car without a drop of rain. Now that's customer service. read more

I had to move, and wanted to get new Elfa for my new closets. The designer was very helpful, but the installation company they work with is awful, and because of them I won't be back. I had Elfa pieces already, so the installation company was supposed to contact me to arrange an installation date. They didn't call me until I called the store to ask about it. Then my new building wouldn't allow the work to be done on a Saturday - this isn't the company's fault, of course. But the guy told me they'd call to reschedule. I waited 4 days for their call. Then I called them and left a message. Haven't heard back. At this point, it feels like I'm working hard to spend money with them, which I refuse to do. read more

This review is for one of the most wonderful retail consultants I have ever encountered. Her name is Lily and if you are at the store run and ask for her. We moved in to the worlds smallest shoe box in Brickell - no storage and tons of stuff. Lily spent as much time as it took to help us find the best solutions to our problems. She gave us more options ideas and concepts than we thought possible and NOT going to work was not answer she was going to take. We left with $600 worth of products but between myself, my mother in law and my Fiancee she managed the situation like a pro and so positive - there was a very brilliant woman as well in the ELFA section you can tell she is an ELFA expert she really knows her stuff but i can't remember her name she was magnificent. People who go to the store are clearly a bit on the OCD so just be aware that you will encounter some serious OCD neat freaks with some 'tude but the staff is awesome. HAPPY SHOPPING read more

Let me start by saying that I LOVE THE CONTAINER STORE. I have been a customer for 15 years. I am sad to say that the service has gone downhill big time. The shelves are half empty, things are disorganized, and the staff is in no hurry to help. Only one person at the register, and a line that took 15 minutes. My trip took about an hour an a half...it should have been 20 min tops. Very inefficient for such a wonderful store. read more

Oh Container Store, you make me wish I was a millionaire! The selection is ridunkulous! They truly have a little something for all your storage..travel...fancy bathroom...closet..and office needs. I have to say, a good portion of their stuff I have found at more economical prices elsewhere, such as Big Lots or IKEA...but if you are looking for great customer service and specialized items you can't get anywhere else, this is definitely your go to place. I was looking for good drawer organizers for my three drawer chest and I found these perfect 34 compartment sets for 7.99 a pop (I bought 3) and they worked majestically. I also got some shoe racks that also worked well for 15 bucks. You can actually go there and successfully not break the bank, but temptation is all around you. Best advice go in with a list and game plan and you will be set. The employees I dealt with on my back to back visits were polite, professional and exceedingly helpful. I have been shopping here for years and did not come across this situation until yesterday. I went shopping for my college bound student on Saturday and spent a large amount of money for dorm living. I returned on Monday to purchase a few more things when I noticed that several of the items i purchased 48 hours before were now on sale. I kindly asked an associate for assistance with the price difference along with my new purchase. I was told that they typically do not do price adjustments yet it is not written anywhere - not on the registers, walls, or even the receipt. They told me I should speak with a manager - I don't know if the gentleman who then assisted me was or was not a manager but I believe he was some type of supervisor. He was not rude, yet he was not polite - simply "matter of fact" - he expressed to me that the store policy is not to do price adjustments, period! He then compared this retail business to a gas station, stating that the prices could change daily and that a price adjustment is not made at gas stations. He continued to say that most people shop there to resolve an immediate "need" and that is similar to gas stations.... I then explained to him that this was a retail business like Target and Walmart - not a Mobil gas station!!!! I continued to express how every other retailer would honor it from 48 hours ago, it wasn't as if I made the purchase weeks ago or longer as I would understand that. I expressed to him that I could retrieve the items, return them and the purchase again at the discounted price. He told me I could do so if I chose. Not once was he sympathetic to the situation, never offered any kind of help or suggestions - he truly lacked in his abilities to provide any kind of customer service even as basic as speaking with any kind of empathy.... Because when it comes down to it who has the time for all that going back and returning things, not to mention gas.....so I said OK - I then quickly retrieved the same items throughout the store that I previously purchased, purchased them at the discounted rate and then handed the person at the register my receipt from 2 days ago and returned it. I saved quite a bit of money and now will think twice before making another purchase at this retailer for several reasons..... read more
