In all, we ordered two double cheeseburgers, cheese fries, chicken fingers, regular fries, and two sodas, which came out to roughly $20. I'm not sure how you can complain about those prices, but apparently some people can. Those prices don't look like they've changed since Danny opened in 1940. That's obviously a joke, but they've actually only gone up a buck over the past 7 years according to another reviewer's picture. That's not bad and, honestly, pretty nice of the local drive in to stay affordable. The food was great considering how inexpensive it was and rivaled any sort of cheap burger I've ever had. You have to order it "with everything". They said that's how they do it so that's how you should eat it. The staff was also very nice and helped us through the menu. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

Very pleasant wait staff always making sure everyone is well taken care of during your meal. They offer a nice self service salad bar that comes with your entree. I chose the baked haddock with fresh cut fries and corn. I ordered the larger portion this time but the regular is more than enough to enjoy. Been here a few times and wanted to see how big the larger portion was , so it comes with 3 pieces of the haddock which was very tasty as usual. We will surely be back again ! Check this place out if you're local to the area or traveling 901 in lavelle. Don't forget about their extensive list of homemade desserts! I didn't have room to add dessert but they al looked delicious! I'll try something next time. They are usually open Wednesdays 4-8pm thru Sundays are 11-3pm.

Looking at the prices, it's hard to beat the value for a fresh, made-to-order breakfast. I ordered scrambled eggs, toast, and a hash brown. The eggs were fluffy and cooked well, the toast was nicely browned, and the hash brown had a crispy golden exterior while staying soft inside. The portions were satisfying without being overwhelming, making it a solid way to start the day. The atmosphere has that welcoming hometown diner feel, and the service was friendly and efficient. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal without feeling rushed.

Burgers are made from fresh ground beef, and not those frozen patties. And they offer pierogies from Mrs. T's! (For the uninitiated, pierogies are to Central PA what White Castle burgers are to the Midwest). Kids meals come with a souvenir mine train pencil and a FULL pint of white or chocolate milk, and are remarkably affordable. There's no indoor seating in the small cafe, but there are several picnic tables under the outdoor porch or in the park across the street. And condiments are limited to packages of ketchup and mustard, although you can "upgrade" your burger with fresh onions, fried onions, A-1 sauce, BBQ sauce, bacon, or cheese. We were debating whether to drive into town for lunch following our mine tunnel train ride or to visit the usual fast-food joint, but I'm glad we decided to stay and eat there - it was a welcome break from the mass-produced and mass-marketed burgers you find along the interstate.

It is what you should expect of a bistro. The staff did an excellent job. There were two girls working the bar and tables and at least one person in the kitchen. The service was great and food delivery was timed perfect. The food is honestly nothing super fancy but very very good. I got the Whistlers pasta, i think thats what it's called, with chicken. I asked for the cajun option. It was pretty awesome. My mouth is watering as I write this. Those with me got the chicken sandwich, chicken dinner, and a burger, wings, brussel sprouts and bacon ranch eggroll. Everyone was happy with their meals. The hand-cut fries were crispy and fresh. Mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious. Two thing that can use improvement: the eggroll was very good but the portion is just one cut in half . Not the best bang for the buck. The breading on the fried chicken sandwich was just a little salty but that could be just a one off thing. We're excited to go back and try other items on the menu.
