Girl that took our order was pleasant and kept calling us darling. Barista made a large coffee instead of a regular, a win for me. Coffee had a touch to much SF caramel for me but the cold brew was good. Not acidic or bitter. At first I wasn't impressed only because it seemed like a lot of time passed before our sandwiches were ready. We were a little pressed for time because we were going on the brewery tour in about 25 minutes. Once we received our sandwiches we went outside at a table because my husband said it was smokey and something was burning his eyes. I didn't notice. I have to tell you my Hot Stuff was fantastic and definitely worth the wait. The English muffin homemade. It was toasted perfectly but doughy on the inside. The cheddar melted, bacon crisp, egg a nice medium. It was messy from the hot honey but it was pure heaven to my taste buds. I'm going to dream about this sandwich for days. Sausage bagel, husband said it was good but he took a bite of mine and said it didn't compare. If in the Pottsville area I highly recommend.

The coffee selection was decent for a cat cafe with a big selection of flavor syrups to add to your drink. The little gift shop was fairly priced and had a lot of unique things. I loved the little black cat mascot, as we have a few furry voids at home. There was about 16 cats in the room when we went on a Saturday afternoon. You can tell they are well taken care of and that the staff cleans very frequently in there. With the 3 of us and the other family we had enough room that we didn't feel jammed in. There was one orange cutie that kept trying to knock my Niece's drink off the windowsill, and a precious long haired grey cat that claimed my husband's lap for the last half of the hour. We were given wet treat tubes to feed them which all the cats went nuts for and there were plenty of feather wands and toys for us to interact with the ones who wanted to play. The coal theme plays in perfectly to the area and the wagon appears to be the hang out area for the cats. It was a fun experience we plan to do again soon. It's a great cause (socializing and getting cats adopted) and the owner is obviously passionate about the mission.

Their goal is to find homes for these adorable felines and so far have placed 24 cats into forever homes in just three months. As Ron mentioned, you don't do this kind of business to get rich. I think it's more of a vocation. There is coffee and packaged treats available for sale. Not only that but a selection of T shirts, and fun toys for your favorite feline. The real stars here are the wonderful cats. I personally love how the owners tied in the Coal Region history into this modern forward thinking (in all the right ways) business. You will sign a waiver to enter (customary) the cat area. It is themed with all things Coal, like a mine decoration, pick axe and even a "coal wagon" delivery wagon (the cats seem to love it). We stopped by in passing but you may reserve time online. The number of people permitted is six maximum. The only other such cafe I knew of was in Philadelphia. I believe thanks to Covid and lockdowns that went under. The owners are enthusiastic about helping animals and customers visiting. Please support this incredible business and bring your little ones and friends to enjoy these sweet creatures. I did not get pictures of the entrance room but it is organized and colorful.

I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. I was laughing at their conversations. Had not to ease drop. Steak was more like a chunked up hamburger, but it was good. Had good flavor and the veggies were fresh. I'll be back for sure, want to try other stuff on the menu.
