A small venture by two great barbers. Great small shop with a personal touch. Make sure you schedule thru Square and check the instructions to find the shop, it's a little off the beaten path. Love the new place. Never sat with Rob in the past but he provided an awesome haircut. When I scheduled my appointment it put me in for 40 minutes and he used every minute to provide the best service. Lived in a quite a few places... Charlotte, Charleston, West Palm Beach, and now Atlanta. The hardest thing is always finding a good barber. This is by far the best barber shop I've been too. Adrian and Rob are skilled, hilarious, and cool. Everything you would want in a barber shop. With work its always tough to find a time that works because they are very busy. I've been going to The Commodore for haircuts and the occasional beard trim since my last review. I'm happy to report that everything has remained as good as it was during my last visit. Although I normally have Rob give me a haircut. I've gotten cuts from all members of the crew and each one is fantastic. Don't hesitate to make an appointment with any of the Barbers... in fact it's interesting to see how each takes a different approach to haircuts. Everyone is highly talented, but like artists, each one has a slightly different eye and I normally just tell them to do their thing and style it to how they think would look best for my face and my hair always turns out great (with plenty of compliments from others). It's nice to see that The Commodore hasn't slipped in quality or customer service as they've gotten more and more popular. Was referred to Adrian about a year ago and he is by far the best barber I have had since moving to Atlanta. Attention to detail like no other...my hair and beard always look great when I leave. Octopus design in the logo: I'm sold. I booked an 8am appointment. Eight. A.M. That was awesome because sometimes you don't want to get a haircut AFTER work, and sometimes you need to get a haircut before work because you're tired of wearing hats all the time. So that 8AM time slot was awesome. Rob is awesome. I didn't feel like we were strangers meeting for the first time to cut the hairs off of my head. It felt like we were friends just catching up, and he just happened to have some scissors and a razor with him. I think we're going to be good friends. Rob will realize that later. I digress. The Commodore Tonsorial Parlor is a true barbershop. Two chairs. Two dudes who know how to cut hair and know how to do it well. I've been going to Rob for almost a year, and when he decided to start his own place, I immediately followed. He gets my hair right every time. At this point, I don't have to even remind him - he knows what I want before I sit down. Not to mention, he knows who I am, so I can have a real conversation about life instead of the canned questions that they ask you at other places because they feel like they have to start a conversation. The Commodore is a place you can become a regular, and they will remember you because they're not trying to rush you in and rush you out. It's the opposite of the big box, high volume, high velocity hair hacking shops that men have been forced to go to if they didn't want to pay big bucks to go to a salon. Absolutely, and without question, the best barbershop in Atlanta. From the great classic interior with subway tile, to the old fashion straight-edge razor shaves, this is what a barbershop should be.
