There is a solid divide between the staff, some are lovely and have a jokey presence around them that truly makes you feel comfortable and is what made me come back. However some staff are incredibly rude. I'm not a very social person, so I don't mind people who aren't SUPER EAGER to talk, not to mention I work in hospitality and understand not always loving customers. But a few staff members are consistently rude, and standoffish. They have this pretentious presence and I can feel them rolling their eyes and scoffing at me. I just think a little goes a long way, and I'm not asking for much but working in a coffeehouse you can't complain you get customers. Overall a positive review for if you just need a place to study, eat, or get things done. But if you're looking to hang out with friends, you'll get eye rolls and scoffs. One more thing - there is a heavy distinction between upstairs and downstairs. If you're with friends please try get a seat upstairs, if you're downstairs it's incredibly library-esque, so not a hangout spot.

I asked him for the Scottish ice cream experience as today was my last day in Scotland. He told me about flavors that he had from different regions of Scotland, and the ice creams that have won prizes in Scotland. I went with his recommendation of lemon honey and it did not disappoint! I also ordered vanilla. It was a perfect combo. The ice cream tastes so good! I wish I had this shop close to my house! This place is awesome because it is owned and operated by Scottish locals. The shop also offers smaller Scottish treats. We purchased Scottish butter cookies to take home with us. This was the best ice cream shop. The ice cream was so fresh! They also offer dairy free choices. Don't be afraid to ask questions and recommendations based on your palate. Stop by here if you're craving some Scottish ice cream.

There's just something "more" to it that makes it special. I recently bought beans (flavor notes of "jammy" and "honey"; it's SO GOOD), and it seems like I can reuse the canister for a discounted refill the next time I'm here! It is sparsely decorated but the theme seems to be related to bicycles. We stopped in for midday iced lattes and a snack. The lattes were good and I appreciate their to go cups and straws are all paper based. The granola bar we grabbed did not impress me at face value but wow was it delicious. Like chewy granola with some cinnamon added in. It was the perfect sweet pairing to the latte. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here.

It's kind of reminding me of Italian style cafes where you drink your espresso at the bar, across from the barista who just served it to you (though in Rome, they don't offer you stools even!).
