Fantastic wee place for breakfast, lunch or just if you fancy a dessert. The ice cream and cake selection is fantastic!

This lovely new establishment had only been opened a few days and since I was in the area it would…read morebe rude not to pop in and have a wee cheeky mocha. I was with our lovely Debs M. and we were waiting on David A. and Rob K. to join us. I swear it was like a Yelpers convention in there, we kept meeting Yelper after Yelper in there. Hehe!! The place is so airy and bright compared to Box of Delights which occupied here previously. I love the colour scheme and layout as it seems much bigger now. We found a wee seat while we waited on the guys, then we had one of the baristas, I presumed, sit at our table. It was a bit bizarre and he said 'yes?' We were at the time checking in on the Yelp app, we just explained we were checking in first then we were going to to order. Initially I wasn't sure if he was a member of staff or some random. Haha!! We explained what we were going to have and it seemed to end up with him taking an order. So, I'm not sure for future if you order and pay at the counter or if it is serviced tables. After our strange encounter, David and Rob joined us. As I was enjoying my mocha, in which I didn't take any sugar because I couldn't find any, it seemed rather nice. That's really unusual for me. Debs and I were wanting a wee glass of water so when I asked at the counter they pointed out a sink in the corner with some glasses piled up beside it. I thought this was a rather good idea. They have really thought this place through with their nifty ideas team and also installed plug sockets nearly everywhere that also have USB ports. Genius! Battery running low? Come here and grab some awesome food and great coffee. They also have WiFi so why not bring your office. Eh OK, maybe not your office but a laptop anyway. It's a pleasant atmosphere and I look forward to going back for maybe a wee spot of lunch.

I'd already been to the museum, but it was just yesterday that I visited this cafe for the first…read moretime. It wasn't out of choice really, more that I was in the area and I was so hungry that I thought I was going to faint...so in I went in search of a sandwich. As you enter in the main door, you'll see the cafe straight away. I was pleasantly surprised- its shiny, clean, and airy, so I decided to sit in rather than get a take-away. The place perhaps lacked character, but then the cafe had a canteen-style service area and staff that wore outfits similar to school dinner ladies, so not the sort of place you would go for a special occasion. They serve soup, sandwiches, tray bakes and costa coffee- the cafe seemed particularly child-friendly. The prices were also very reasonable.

St Mungo's Museum Cafe was a nice stop on our 1st morning in Glasgow…read more Cafeteria-style but on a much smaller scale - there are a few prepared sandwiches, some scones / pastries and soup behind the counter. Put them on your cafeteria tray & you're good to go Also noticed a few veggie options - props! Took *forever* for someone to come out to greet us & service wasn't all that endearing but they were straight to the point, which is just what we were looking for Teas & Coffees all around - each was strong & dressed up nicely w/ sugar & cream Also couldn't help but indulge in a chocolate caramel bar - after all, it was evening where we just came from & dessert is *always* a good idea. It was meh. Looked much better than it tasted but I had had my suspicions being it was cafe-fare.....oh well Sit in the garden on a sunny day! Very Zen A Docent passed us on her way to St Mungo's Church & stopped to chat. She was over 90 yrs old & had lived to see many interesting events in Glasgow - she was adorable calling my parents "children" & such a nice welcome for us to our journey in Scotland
