One of the best cortados I've ever had!
    Will H.

We're new to Boston, but so far, The Coffee Trike is the best coffee that I've encountered. My drink of choice - cortado - is phenomenal from this tiny pop-up café. Great milk texturing, cutting delicious espresso. Perfection for me. With such friendly baristas, relatively-fast service (for a small operation in a crowded area), and top-notch drinks, I'll happily continue to make the trike my go-to spot for my caffeine fix.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The best coffee I have had in Boston (and I've had a LOT of coffee). For those who love SF's Philz coffee and Blue Bottle I've found this to be Boston's absolute closest / best coffee. I've had the latte and my friend had the cortado- both delicious, and such great flavor and quality. In addition, the owner not only is genuinely happy to make conversation, but he actually remembers you!

Absolutely outstanding coffee made on a trike! The trike itself is incredible when you consider everything going on within it. The fact that a person can make coffee all day without electricity is impressive, but to see San do it so easily, with such a cheery demeanor is incredible. And the product is world class! There is no better place in town to get a cup of coffee! Try it, you'll like it!

I had the pleasure of trying the Irish griller and the nachos, because, honestly, how can I resist nachos. Now, when I'd had corned beef before, it had only been from a can... so my expectations were not set particularly high. However, there's really no comparison between canned rubbish and this! Sandwich was nicely balanced and toasted (maybe grilled?) to perfection. There was a variety of textures and flavors to be found inside. There was a bit of cheesiness, but the stars on the plate were the slaw and the beef. The slaw was fresh with just the right amount of crunch, whereas the beef was tender and in just the right amount. I would have liked a little more sauce though, as I don't recall there being a whole lot of it. On the side perhaps? Also, and this is just me... but a little more cheese never hurts. Then there were the nachos... these fell short for me. As opposed to the thought put into the sandwich, these were like something a college student would throw together. Good nachos, in my opinion, are warm; whereas these were just chips for a bag with stuff thrown on top. The sauerkraut was quite nice, it that it wasn't overly sour. However, because this dish didn't move a thermometer, the beef and chips, and even cheese went together like oil and water. On top of that, the Thousand Island sauce didn't really work for me here. It might be great on sandwiches and salads, but not nachos.

More people need to review them and show some love! Wow wow wow. My brother and I decided to give…read morethem a shot at the Boston Night Market and saturday, initially because their line wasn't too long. We got an order of the corned beef fries. My god. Those things are DANGEROUS. They were truly unbelievable. The crispy fries paired with thousand island and corned beef made for a serious explosion of flavor. It didn't hurt that the guys working were so sweet and kind. I would absolutely stop by their bus again if I ever see them out and about.

I remember when I first heard about this event. My initial thought was "oh look another way NYC and…read moreBoston can compete". Actually, I thought it was just another event New York City could dominate Boston at. But that's just the New Yorker in me. I kid, I kid. I've got nothing but love for Boston's food trucks. I was mostly interested in what trucks New York was going to come with as lets be honest the only food trucks I ever saw in NYC were the halal and hotdog trucks on the streets. And let's just say I was taught never to trust street meat. Good thing the website is good at listing the trucks and their websites so you can scope out the competition beforehand. Surprised to see almost all of them had websites. The first time this event was held in Dewey Square. Contained completely on the farmer's market island. My god it was a mess of lines and the wait for some of the trucks was horrendous. People had to plan strategically in their groups in order to hit as many of the trucks they wanted to try. Food truck competitions are serious business and apparently you call out a competition between NY and Boston you're going to pull a crowd to show some love for their hometown. It's understandable... even if the longest lines were from two NY trucks. The second time around the planners did a lot better location wise. They spread the trucks out along the less trafficked Greenway. Thank god they learned from last year. Also line control was handled a lot better. No funky zigzag across 4 different truck areas here. And there was also plenty of grass or curb to sit and eat. Now for the food. This competition has a habit of bringing an array of different cuisines. I had a plan to visit two trucks this time. Morrocan truck Comme Ci Comme Ca and Indian Chinese hybrid Momos & Buns. Most of the NY trucks had a limited 'Throwdown' menu. While I did pick up the kofka couscous from Comme Ci I would have really liked to try a few of their appetizers that I noticed on their website. The couscous was delicious and I think this was the first time I ever really tried Moroccan cuisine so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I'll definitely hunt down the truck when next I'm in NY. Momos I never got to. There was quite the line and I was not that patient. But while I was walking the area I stumbled upon the Cupcake Crew and tried their maple bacon cupcake. Wow, that was incredible. Although I think bacon makes most things taste better. In all it was a pleasant day with delicious food a relaxed atmosphere and I can't wait until next year's.

Cousins Maine Lobster is a brand and fleet of lobster food trucks that began in Los Angeles,…read moreCalifornia in April 2012. It was founded by cousins Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac. Originally from Portland, Maine, the cousins later settled in Southern California. Impressed with the Los Angeles food truck industry, they decided to start selling Maine lobster in the L.A. area. Lobster was typically viewed as a pricey delicacy, only served in precious portions at fancy restaurants. The cousins saved up enough money to buy a food truck. East Coast transplants raved about the authenticity, freshness and the copious amount of meat in the lobster rolls. Their success really took off after they were featured on an episode of the TV series "Shark Tank". The brand expanded, more food trucks were bought, and the first brick & mortar location opened in West Hollywood in 2015. As of 2026, the chain has 65 food trucks and two restaurants throughout 30 states as well as Washington, D.C. I recently sampled some of Cousins Maine's delicious lobster when I saw one of their trucks at a local brewery. The "Greater Boston" truck travels all across Eastern Massachusetts to stop at breweries, wineries, and various markets and festivals. I had previously sampled food from the "Greater Connecticut" truck. The menu consists of items made from Maine lobsters, such as Maine Lobster Rolls, Connecticut Lobster Rolls, lobster quesadillas, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, lobster bisque, as well as New England Clam Chowder. After looking over the menu, I decided to order some "Lobster Tacos" (Maine lobster served with cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce, flour tortillas). They were simply divine and paired well with the beers that I was having at the brewery. I give Cousins Maine Lobster my seal of approval and I hope to see one of their trucks again!
