This branch of CBTL seems to be always bustling with people. We arrived at around 3 to grab a late lunch, and there was hardly any table left for us. The tables were dirty, and the floor had crumbs and traces of food.
I ordered my usual - Eggs Ben, and it was awesome as always! I loved how the saltiness of the cheese complemented the ham and the egg. It also came with a choice of tea or coffee, which was a big plus.
The garlic and sardine linguini is one of their specialties according to their menu. However, the garlic was burned and turned the dish really bitter. I brought the plate to the counter and asked the staff if the dish was meant to be that way, and they told me it was. Oh well.
I enjoyed their banana muffin, which tasted just like the regular banana cake but with half-molten chocolate chips scattered all throughout. Awesome!
Their caramel ice-blended tasted too much like coffee, but it was good nonetheless. read more
