I am insanely admitting that it caught me in surprise to know of this business existence when I stepped in the terminal's food court. Yes, blame it for not been home in the native land for 19-20 years.
First of all, I was amazed of the history that lies behind the story of the business. Amazed of it's selling point is a home grown coffee. Amazed of the business mission is to help local farmers. I couldn't deny the feeling to be proud local and thankful to whoever started this franchise. I'll support this business to anyway I can provided I am a resident of the country but sadly I am not, just one of the visiting "Balikbayan".
I grew up drinking "kapeng barako" so I would say their coffee somehow will not be far from my expectation. Oh boy! They offer modified flavors that surprisingly tickled our taste buds. It was beyond to what we imagine. The alternative version of their cafe espresso made me enjoy coffee more than ever. I am pretty sure you'll agree with me that in comparison to nearby Starbucks pricing, this place is way reasonable. They offer more than coffee. Tried their local flavored muffins and find it tastes equally right with others. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is contemporary/ modern with Filipino touch which is for me is very appealing.
I'd been a supporter of local businesses in my hometown in Queens, New York so it with full pride that trying their coffee was worth it and will support the business whenever I can. read more
