I can live off of their Mango Bravo cake, and I'm not even a cake fan. It is literally so soft and so delicious and not overly sweet. I also enjoyed some of their other pastries (I forgot the names, sorry Tita, I know you spent 5 minutes teaching me the name of each pastry.) In regards to their restaurant service though, it was pretty slow. Although the food was great, I probably wouldn't eat there again just because of how slow it was. But for the mango bravo cake? I'd gladly wait in the long line of traffic outside

Since we were chatting away (and the folks there were nice about it, allowing us to stay), got an additional drink - the lemon tarragon cooler was summer in a glass. Sure, it might be completely open to the rest of the mall and its escalators, and they have a limited number of chairs, most of them along the hallway, but I never stay anyway, so it's never a problem. The brightness of the store is pretty eye-catching though, and makes it a struggle to resist going inside and getting a nice, cold drink while going through the mall to window-shop and do the groceries in Shopwise. Granted, I've never actually bought milk tea here, so I can't exactly attest to that, but I do love their strawberry slush and matcha and red bean smoothie. The slush is just smoothly, lightly sweet and perks you up, while the smoothie is just lush with that subtle green tea flavor and a nice, hearty pop of surprise from the beans. If I was feeling down that day, a quick trip to Chatime always lifts my spirits.

They should have a rule when it comes to pets and restaurants. Malls and lets is understandable. But Pets and Restaurants is a whole new story. Dont get me wrong I love pets dogs specially, but we have to be respectful of others preference and health conditions.

Their cakes and their food are delicious which warranted more locations all over the metro. My personal favorites since I was a kid are Chicken ala Kiev served with buttered vegetables and garlic rice, Mango Bravo cake (crunchy meringue layers, creamy chocolate mousse, cream, mangoes), and their blended iced tea with calamansi. Honestly, all their menu items - both savory and sweet are delicious. It just depends on your mood. Other favorites include Beef Salpicao, Roast Beef in Mushroom Sauce, Sans Rival, and Blueberry Cheesecake - I actually don't like blueberries but this cheesecake only has a small amount of blueberries on top. Every time I go to the Philippines, I have to go to Conti's - it's like being at home!

Funny enough, it was my mom who first took me here, and I've been indebted to her since. I love sweets and I love their mochi, Japanese sweet glutinous rice cakes that have a filling (like chocolate or ice cream, in this case) inside. The place is small and humble, as they seem to be operating right out of the owner's house, but it's a good, peaceful setting to have dessert in. I've tried a lot of their mochi and they're all good (trust me), but I always go back to their green tea one for its subtle flavor. It's also pretty affordable at around 40-60 bucks, as it is a sizable ball of dessert.

While I've never dined at the cafe, my significant other at one point always brought me home a take-out box or two to enjoy. I was sure about Dezato's quality that I made sure to bring some for my grandparents. It was no surprise that my grandmother raved about how nice and soft the mochi is, and how the filling is so flavorful.

I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Located above the Rustan's Supermarket on P. Guevarra, the café is quiet compared to the busy street below and gets tons of natural light from the building's all-glass facade. Great plus for me as it made the place have a very airy feel which went great with the painted concrete floors and industrial seating. The coffee was great too! I got their cold-brew coffee and it was a solid cup of cold-brew. Nothing out of the ordinary but it wasn't offensive. The price was great though! At least 30 pesos less than a comparable brew from one of the third wave stalwarts. They also have a lot of differently sourced beans to choose from, with even a Filipino Benguet option! So even though it might not have same pretentious or hipster vibes that we have come to expect from many of the other third wave purveyors here in Manila, I love how laidback this place is. You can definitely get a lot done here. Cash only!! There are ATMs downstairs though if you're in a pickle.
