Very nice people working there. I think it's a great experience for elementary age students.

He is turning 9yo now. Last year, I started sending my daughter as well -- she is 4yo turning 5yo. Kumon in general has provided the necessary training and skills to help my kids both adapt to and excel at Stratford-Los Gatos, which both attend. Kumon Blossom-Crest, under the direction of Darshini, has been a very positive experience for us. Darshini is flexible, energetic, motivational and positive with respect to her students and their parents. She brings a fun, light-hearted energy to the curriculum, while being very personable, warm, and congenial with the parents. She is flexible with our schedules and is committed to the success of each child.

Majority of the teachers are rude to the younger children, probably because they know that the younger children are defenseless - but this will only hurt their future. Know better next time. It's genuinely so stupid seeing "kind" ppl being so rude to these cute children The one with the decored nails (she looks Hawaiian or smt) is pretty rude .. They kept us for an HOUR - twice the length of a regular class and said it was only gonna be 5-10 minutes. Hell na Fix yourselves .....

The process to sign up and to get an assessment was easy and the staff is very helpful. My daughter first hesitated going to math school over the summer but she truly likes it. I think it's because she sees how much it's helping and she is feeling confident about her skills. They are always on time and the ratios are great. Also, very easy and confident in terms of week to week scheduling. Pricing is right too. Don't hesitate. If your child needs help with math go here! Also, while you wait there are lots of restaurants in the shopping center to choose from.

He started Mathnasium in 2nd grade, but over time, he didn't struggle as much. Mathnasium became more of an extracurricular activity than just tutoring. Of course, like most kids, he wanted to quit at some point. He finally got his wish before his senior year of high school. Looking back, I now truly see the value of this extracurricular. He was good at math, though I wouldn't say he was exceptional, and I always thought he didn't particularly enjoy it. Surprisingly, when he was a sophomore in college, he decided to pursue a minor in engineering--or even math. I guess his years at Mathnasium served him well after all! I wanted to share this because math tutoring isn't just about helping your child in the moment--it can have a lasting impact on their academic confidence and future opportunities.

Now, after roughly 3 months not only is he finding it much more enjoyable to learn to read, but he's even one of the more advanced readers in his class. I've seen improvements in his handwriting. His spelling is still pretty bad, but he went from refusing to even attempt to write anything to now he is at least willing to sound things out and write things out phonetically. His only complaint about some of the tutors is that they make him do his work (which is exactly their job- I would not be as happy if they were not doing that), but overall he likes everyone there.

He's truly a treasure, I wish more people who work with kids had his warm, practical and sympathetic approach. But honestly, every person we've met at Sylvan has been wonderful. My daughter was a little reluctant to get started since Math isn't her forte, though she's remarkably gifted when it comes to anything language related. Nonetheless, with a lot of support, she's now doing better and better. So happy to have found Sylvan, if you're in any way doubting whether this is the place for your child, I suggest you give them a call and set up a meeting, because you really have to see it to believe it :)
